In the vast and endless gulfs of the limitless universe, many worlds spin and twirl through the stars. Beyond that which can be seen, lie deeper truths, farther reaches and stranger worlds, where life takes different forms, and not all of the ‘laws’ of reality are as strictly enforced.

This is the story of an ordinary young person, born in an ordinary world, living an ordinary life and suffering an ordinary death. He wasn’t born extraordinary, nor handsome, talented or wealthy; his death went largely unremarked, much like his life.

A colonial being of unfathomable provenance, it boggles at how well it has managed to fit in despite its differences with the local population. And yet, there are still glitches. Misunderstandings. What are possibly microaggressions.

It's hard to tell. It wants some help.

This fiction isn't exactly a story in the traditional sense, and does not have a plot planned out, though one might emerge. It will be updated whenever we have been inspired to write a chapter's worth of words for it. So, if you like it, it's probably a good idea to follow it so that you can get the odd notification of a new log entry by [INCOMPREHENSIBLE].

It is marked as horror because it uses horror elements. It is horrific, if you look at it from the right angles. But so far, it's mostly been comedic. It's possible that the only fantasy elements are the narrator and the way that it got here. <<less

"Why? Why would you do this to me?" she cried, her voice breaking. "Do you have any conscience at all?"
Her words tore from her throat, carrying both unbearable anguish and all the rage she had kept buried inside. Yet the more she screamed, the deeper the bitterness inside her grew, like a flood no one could stop.
Đức Anh remained silent. He offered no defense. He simply lowered his head and looked at her with eyes filled with sorrow.
But that sorrow did nothing to ease the crushing pain consuming her.
Huệ Tây collapsed to her knees, burying her face in her hands as tears streamed endlessly down her cheeks.
"Thu Huệ... I'm sorry..."
The words escaped her trembling lips in a broken whisper.
"I'm sorry... Sis..."
She repeated them over and over, like a prayer, or perhaps a confession.
The grotesque monsters outside no longer mattered.
Nothing mattered anymore.
Everything had become meaningless.
