Leray Series: 18/19
One world, one moment, and multiple memories collide in the minds of the few who traverse the country of Polarium. The effects of the burst have given magic to this part of the world, and triggered a bloody war in the process. Fulfilling the duties of the Leray Mitigation Agency, after 18 months of intense military training, Jane, Taylor, Danny, and Alyssa enter Polarium to join the forces of the Terracom government.
The LMA is not intending to fight a war on anyone's behalf, but rather to determine if either side contesting the land is in violation of using Leray magic to assist their war efforts, marking them as the offender in the eyes of the LMA. Whether Terracom or the Polarium Rebels are using Leray magic isn't entirely clear at a glance, and Jane is highly reluctant to get involved in this war directly. Either way, they must investigate under the guise of military support, and uncover the truth behind Scarwood's actions.
Upon arrival, something is clearly wrong; not with the war, but with Polarium itself. Jane has memories of living her life in the forests here, as well as other memories which overlap her old ones. She feels certain pressures and sadness that are clearly not her own. A particular nomenclature sticks out to her, as Jane convinces herself she might be one of the forgotten children.
She could simply be going insane, or it could be some magical effect of a spell none know about. Whatever the case, the action of the war quickly heats up against the rebels while Jane tries to uncover the mystery of the paradox inside her head.
