Basil just wanted to coast for a month before he had to go back to college. Now, he's thrown into the chaotic world of Cyberpunk 2077. At least the powers that be gave him game-like abilities, which he can use to get rich and thrive. The only problem is that Night City is filled with cyberpsychos (and regular psychos), least of which is a certain Japanese megacorp CEO that's hell bent on starting the next corpo world war. Basil has to work double time to avoid such a disaster if he wants a chance at enjoying his second life.

Most gangs in Night City also dabble in said industry, while also servicing the more dubious wants of clients, leading to many a tragic fate that make Scavs look appealing. Caught in one such fate, what does one do? With new knowledge and chrome, return the implant to what it was originally intended to be. So pick up the pieces and reassemble into something new.

The idea for this story came from datashards in cp77 (See: Cyberpsycho Sightings: Smoke on the Water) and while I was at it I added a missfired isekai in there. I'm trying to find a way to have MC become OP without any system or magic bs, let me know how well you think I managed. When/if I eventually get there. I think I struggle with balancing environment descriptions and moment to moment acts with moving along the story in a timely fashion. Again, please do leave feedback.
Quick disclaimer: I'm not going to write smut in this. Writing gore I'm fine with, but actually writing any details about said tragic fate that I am teasing will not happen. Besides the unknown horror having more impact, some things are just better left unsaid. Also, I hope I ticked all the right boxes for Content Guidelines and stuff.
