Lots of bloodshed. Over time, "the country that was initially attacked" had managed to hack a multitude of the enemy country's mechs, shifting who is winning battles. The ai had become saavy to hacking methods and started their own "attacks via hacking" on very many various "devices, vehicles, ai, and mechs" all over the country they are attacking. They finally reached the technology that they were trying to get (to/at), and the "ai that control mechs" had tried to "power on" and hack the foreign technology. The foreign technology "was and is" a mech itself, and sent a "visible signal stream to the sky" that exited the planet and traveled to a destination unknown to Earthlings, that visible signal straleam's visibility lasting only two minutes. Most of Earth's countries now deem the "country that has the army of ai-controlled mechs" and "ai in general" as top level threats to mankind in general" as a result of such events.
