I am trans, native, and have family within two generations who immigrated from Italy. But I was born on a reservation, and we didnt have a school on it, so we had to go to a settlement town to get our education. Things like the fur trade and colonization was taught to us but from a heavily saturated version from a western perspective. And when I got older, my mom moved us away from the rez to get us closer to that school. It was damaging and separated me from my own community, but I still was able to speak with my elders and family from there. I am thankful for my teachings and to have grown up raised with my culture, and I have been decolonizing western ideology within myself since I learned how to read. I hope I can help others do the same, it definitely isnt easy to see a world where we are all a little more free. But I think that is why creator blessed us to be able to see dreams that can be shared through storytelling. And the dreams we can't describe are both special and sacred.

To save myself and my readers some emotional from some emotional whiplash, I am revising the next chapter of Wiisegaate to keep a focus on the heavier tones it introduces later in the chapter. I was originally going to bring up the topic and have a more calming narrative after, but it is too sudden

Next chapter of Wiisegaate is taking a bit longer. Writing Dylan has been keeping my mind working, but my mind keeps going back to missing my community and our annual powwow trips.

Writing another little series on the side. Not as much thought or heavy scenes put into it, so I'm able to churn out chapters for it as long as I'm in the mood to write about Dylan. Love this pathetic man, he genuinely is calming to write.

Please add the Gender-Bender genre to your Wisegaate novel. Thanks!

Spoiler

Her gender doesn't get bent, she specifically transitions. My latest chapter reveals that she still requires estrogen and had pretty much recieved the surgery she needed.

Gah, this being my first story ever, I know there will be times I can improve on my writing. I hope I learn when it happens and not find out later I said and 20 times in a paragraph

Taking a break from writing today to do some reading. Next chapter will be a short one too but the next ones should be back to around 2000 words each

I hit 200 views on Wiisegaate! And I'm on 10 peoples' reading listsclear.png

Thank you all so much for even checking out the series page. Even to those people who don't stay around to read, the fact that anyone is looking is mind-blowing

Not sure why my latest chapter says it was uploaded on the 27th when I literally published it 30 minutes ago.

I have created a ko-fi! I am not expecting to receive many donations, and I'm gonna keep writing regardless, but even if you're thinking of just checking it out then it will give me the motivation to write even more stories! G'chi Miigwetch.

Shit is confusing, and I am thankful to my partner and the people in my life who truly helped me see the world in new and wonderful ways.

I want this story to honor all my relations within seven generations, to my indigenous family and my immigrant family. To my grandmothers who were there as I grew up on the reservation, and to my family in Italy who had us visit on several occasions. And most of all, I want to put out something that is special to me, and my experiences growing up not being able to understand the world around me.

AAAA I started writing a series. Two chapters in and my creative muscles are itching. Mmm my autism is going brrr so currently I am being blended into a smoothie. It already is in someone's favorites too? I- am at a loss for words, it means so much to put this out there. Wiisegaate, it is hot in here ;).

Ehh, how to say anything when brain is mush. Yknow, I never stop to question why beef is just like that. Maybe it has to do with the cow or something. But someone has to keep wondering for us trans sisters.
