Sorry for not posting. I've been engrossed in two separate but great stories lately. Valkyrie's Shadow, an Overlord fic that is just bluntly superior to the source material in everyway, and A Practical Guide to Evil, another great webnovel that I love just as much as Worm, which I've also started to read. On top of all that, I've been rewatching Fairy Tail so I can jump into the animated release 100YQ with a surplus of episodes. I'll update soon, probably

Does anyone else read Y/n L/n stories as Yin Lin or something like that instead of actually going to the effort of inserting a name?
Mm, I've read a few but I normally drop them quickly since it irks me every time I see Y/N, I know I'm meant to imagine my own name so I can be the main character but it just ends up throwing the flow of the story off for me tbh.
@HugsForCookies Same honestly, but every now and then when I just want something mindless I'll pick one up and read it to pass time
@Basically_God Y/n stories are self insert stories, with Y/n being short for Your Name. Dialogue will often play like "What's up, y/n!" Quality tends to be a coin toss, likely because I've mostly seen it used by beginning writers that are more often than not still in school. I'm not the type to shame self insert ocs, but these stories are notorious in my experience for being either very edgy, very happy, very horny, or very bad. Sometimes a combination of any of the above.
@Basically_God Think Highschool DxD, My Hero power fantasy harem stories. Or stories with incredibly tragic backstories for the MC where the whole narrative centres around them having a terrible childhood and that terrible childhood being the reason they're bullied and hate everyone and everything. On the end of the spectrum you have someone that fits comfortably in the settings but are likely still boisterous, OP, likely have ADHD and aren't harem smutfics

and no. Yes because it seems like a very good and innovative idea, and I like suicide squad and Isekai, even though the latter seems to be getting very saturated, but there are still a lot of good works with the theme.
And not because I always had a certain idea that different universes shouldn't mix. For example, I never liked it when they discussed who was stronger, Saitama or Goku.
For me they are from different universes, so the way their powers and strength work is different so I find it strange to compare. If one being has the ability to absorb mana and the other comes from a world without mana and has no mana, then this power is ineffective. Laws from different universes create different beings that follow certain laws, so pitting them against someone who operates under different laws is strange to me. I don't know if I explained it well, but that's basically it.
but I think it will be very interesting to see how the suicide squad would deal, react, in an isekai. I'm excited to see it. Kjakakaka it's weird kakakakk

Nothing makes me more nostalgic than playing the LEGO Harry Potter collection. LEGO Star Wars is up there too, but this game is the only interaction I've had with the franchise other than barely watching the movies on old TVs strapped to a moving cart when I went to school
Fair warning: There might not be a chapter this week. My whole house has strep throat and I don't usually get sick, but when I do I am completely out of commission for a few days with no exceptions. Not sick yet, but, strep takes two to five days to manifest and my throat is already feeling a little swollen.
