Thanks for the criticism. I'm learning every day. Em-dashes are kinda like a habit when I'm writing and in the mood. Pardon me, you will see it quite often until I can manage to use it less.

Having a unique writing style is a good thing, yours was easily legible and entertaining. Sometimes people may need time to get used to a new pace - there isn't anything wrong with it!
Anything less wouldn't do your story justice.
