The story's initial starting premise is very heavily inspired by Waking Up As A Starship. I straight up admit that in the first chapter and even the MC makes a comment about it, considering the story is a kind of self-insert isekai. That being said the story evolves well past that initial premise into it's very own thing. Another point is that the MC isn't happy about being isekaied, and she makes a lot of references directly comparing things in this new world to media from our world.

There's a giant second hand bookstore where I live, and my spouse and I go at least once a month. I really love the retro art on old Sci-fi books and there's just something about the feel and visuals of an old well-loved book that really makes me happy. I wanted to try and replicate that for my first venture into writing Sci-fi, especially because I love making book covers and this felt like a challenge I wanted try.
Personally and all. I grew up reading vintage paperbacks of all kinds. This notion that "web-novel" writing is somehow different from "paperback writing" is foreign to me. Good writing should be good writing. I just maybe fantasized that was what you were trying to get across. Even if not... loved the shit out of the cover. It brought back memories.

just had to tell you... loved the cover. Seeing something deliberately made to resemble an old 1980 paperback like that? Awesome aesthetic. I didn't so much as glance at the blurb, nor read one line of one chapter... just felt compelled to tell you how great I thought the cover was.

I do have plans, but I will openly admit I've been working on other projects at the moment. My Sci-fi series has really taken up most of my time.

Everything went really well on the surgery and physical recovery front. I will be honest that mentally and emotionally I'm definitely struggling a little bit with everything that's going on in the world and getting back to work. Writing has been a bigger struggle than I would like to admit, but I think giving you guys something and seeing what you think will really give me a big boost.
How are you doing? Been hoping for an update on Vixen's Mistress.
I've been doing as well as can be. Recovery from surgery has gone really well and I'm still getting back into the swing of writing. The next Vixen's Mistress will be uploaded this friday!

Yes. This week on my patreon I am hoping to release the next Vixen’s Mistress chapter. If I do get it to a place I'm happy with, and I feel like I'm pretty close to that, then the next Vixen’s Mistress chapter will come out here on the the 7th of march.
