I've left it purposefully vague. But, if Natalie lives in the same universe as Transfusion, Maxie and company are hedge witches with about one percent of the raw magical ability that Natalie has. If Natalie knew what to expect, the vampires wouldn't stand a chance.

Hmm... yeah, I guess that's a possibility. Though that would require sacrifices to the demon to increase its hold in the world. But, if they were desperate enough, the vampires might pay any price to remain alive and in charge.

Loved your Transfusions novel! Made me kind of depressed at the end but I loved the characters! Great “fluff” scenes too!
I'm glad you liked it! I didn't think a happy fairytale ending would have served the story well.
Yeah it would have felt disingenuous and that’s why I liked it still despite it being bittersweet. Also the sex scenes gave me some ideas for my own novel as I am a bit new to professional writing and have NO experience writing sex scenes. I’d love if you checked it out and left some thoughts as a fellow writer, especially one that has a writing style I quite like!

I just posted a poll in the latest chapter of Visions of Dark & Light - I'm going to add another fantasy race in the next arc and want your input.
As those of you who have been following the story know, aside from regular humans, the world of Medias is filled with many strange people, including two races of plant people (well... one is only half-plant), two species of subterranean humanoid primates who split from a common ancestor in a strange magical schism, feathered dinosaur people who like to glide, and a race that's literally made from scraps of stuff magically bound together. What should add to the mix?
