Author was last seen in April, emerging from his burrow, but was immediately terrified by his shadow and has gone back into hiding, lest he be summoned by the King in Yellow.
Author is in hiding after a particularly nasty run in with the IRA. Turns out his/her life of excess fulled by the sweet sweet Scribble hub bucks had made him powerful enemies. Irish enemies.
With no other option author went to the only place free of Irish influence, Gnome Alaska. It is here that author has rebuilt his life as a walrus breeder and is currently in the process of uploading the next chapter using dialup and carrier pigeons.
Unfortunately for author, a massive global sardine shortage forced him to his/her limits. Unable to feed the walruses through legitimate means, author and the walruses turned to a life of crime. Their first target? Mark’s Fishing Supply. This will be the first chapter of a new legend. “Deathangle and the walrus blubber gang”
Unknown to deathangle and his gang of lovable blubber bags, his exploits have attracted the attention of captain Watinamo the famous dolphin and walrus hunter. Warinamo was in some serious trouble with the IRA IRS and IRM and each was already sending people to bust his kneecaps. The money earned by selling all that blubber would with a few rolls at the craps table be enough to completely pay off his debts.
Do you plan on writing about what's happening back on earth? You've implied early on that there was a lot going on behind the scenes. Will that be expanded upon in a separate book? Just curious if you've planned that far ahead. Great job so far on the second book. Still loving it.
I love your story and MC. The recent druidic developments have me concerned. Please, please don't turn her into an half plant thing! I would lose interest quickly at that point. Love the green eyes BTW. It makes her look more elfish which fits with the nature theme. On a side note is there some reason that all her summons are Eldrich horrors? Hoping that will be explained later in the story. Is it just her ignorance of summoning?
I'm still surprised that you noticed her summons were all horrors though. The reason will be revealed later of course but good job on noticing it first
Oh thank goodness, thank you for the reply and not giving any hints! I like to read between the lines in stories and guess what might come next, makes it fun. BTW, like you I work too many hours and have been off line a lot this week so I was very happy to see a new post to the story today.
