Thank you for the glowing review! You are absolutely right about my first few chapters. These were my first attempt at writing and even now I think that the almost entirety of chapter 2 could be removed from the story altogether. 

Unfortunately I've set up a rather daunting task ahead of me and the early chapters are the price of my hubris. 

Now it is my duty to see it through
