I dislike grimdark, gore and horror, unexamined cliches, unsatisfying or sad endings, and abuse/lust/infatuation pretending to be love. I've been obsessively writing for most of the past 30+ years. Unless otherwise stated, everything is completed and edited before I start posting any of it.

I hoped to have a new Hallowe'en story this year (it's the best holiday!) but no luck. No idea I came up with felt as good as last year's, which turned out much better than I ever expected. @Kaiyalai Pebble folded, with only a week's warning, at the end of October. Turns out a social media platform that a lot of introverts found startlingly friendly didn't grow fast enough or make enough money for investors. Along with many from it, I created an account on Mastodon, which is where I do what actual social media I ever do these days, which isn't much since I value whatever mental health I have.

New story done! I just need to do a cover. (I'm a writer, Jim, not a graphic designer!) Tentatively, I'll post the first two chapters Friday. It's fantasy-medieval time! The story is sort of a romance, sort of not, but definitely trans... this is going to be a tough one to tag, but it was fun to write. A lighter one, before I get back to bigger projects. (I mean, it's not even 80K words!) (But it was meant to be at most a novella, so...)
Well, Lamia's done! At least for now, since I have sequel requests, but that'll take a while. Thanks to all readers! I'm working on editing a short light novel that's... sort of a romance with a trans MC, so that'll be up soon. After that... we'll see!
After a couple of weeks experimenting, I'll be keeping my Bluesky acct (prysmcat.bsky.social) but probably using it to a limited degree. T2, now Pebble, I expect to be on a lot (prysmcat). Feel free to say hi if you use either!
Only two weeks left of Lamia! (Where did the time go?) There will be a hiatus while I finish up another story to start posting, but I'm expecting less than a month. I hope. As long as life doesn't toss in any curve balls. There are three (3!) others within yelling distance of a finished first draft, plus continuing Transposition, so with any luck, there won't be any long gaps for a while.

@Capybellie I'll consider that a vote and try my best to get my brain to focus on that one instead of the erotic novel (with magic and transformation, of course), my version of an isekai harem story, and a bunch of mostly-trans entertainers stumbling into a crisis and trying to save their Victorian-ish fantasy city. Yes, my brain wanders! But I'll try!

Uh... my apologies and I am SOOO embarrassed! Chapter 3 of the new story had the wrong posting date/time and came up all by itself early. Fixed but I am really sorry, especially anyone who just read Three without the beginning!
I love this site, I love the readers, I'm deeply grateful for it, but I really hate that interface - I'm always setting up multiple chapters in advance and it is really not meant for that.
No worries! Be super careful if you’re using any type of mobile interface because that’s where it tends to accidentally reset the dates the wrong way!

@MajorKerina Thanks! I managed this particular mistake (failed to notice AM instead of PM) on a laptop. I know logically it's not a catastrophe, but all that work to build up the story at the right pace and then messing it up for a dozen readers with a stupid mistake is frustrating. I really appreciate the sympathy!
I said I wasn't going to do a sequel to the short story "Bondage" but somehow, one seems to have happened anyway, Idunno, by accident or something. I do less intensive editing on shorts, but it does need one good thorough pass through it. Six chapters... Two hours apart to balance visibility against impatience?
