I've never seen that happen to any other stories. Many people advertise and link their patron, why would yours be deleted? Also why would I go to webnovel to read it instead? It's an awful website

It was prohibited by international laws, though not stated directly in the guidelines (as it didn't need to be anyway).
Fanfictions are a legal gray zone, and if SH (or any other site) allowed financial gain of any kind, it would be legally compliant with copyright infringement. And this can lead to the site being taken down.
