I flew as fast as I could down the path.

I don't have time to dodge through the trees with my giant stupid wings.

the first reason is my mother.

mother always acts like our servants are less than people because of their low class and they just deal with it. I wish I could snap back at her and defend them and they always are scared of me because of her and my sister, Stella.

the other is because high class people are so boring like a lot.

there was a snap in the bushes I slowed down then after a minute of thought I turned up and into a nearby tree.

I landed on a branch right next to a cardinal girl.

wait a minute what?

I jumped back the same time the girl did but I grabbed the knife on my belt and swung it at her to push her back.

"NOW BELLE" the girl shouted

there must be someone in the tree with her

I turned to find a staff swinging at my head.

the world tilted sideways and I dropped into darkness.

I peaked one eye open.

I saw two faces staring at me I slammed my eye shut again.

"we know you're awake" one said

I kept my eyes closed.

"fine keep your eyes closed as long as you answer our questions"

my eyes pop open I take in the cardinal girl from the tree who had dirty blonde hair and a tall brunette falcon.

"why, what do you think I know?" I say

"um, you know your name right?" the falcon said

"nope no idea" I said

"ha ha so funny" the cardinal girl rolled her eyes

"what are your names?" I said

"Adeline and Belle now tell us yours!" Adeline said obiviously annoyed already

I tried to move but found I was tied to a tree my wings were tied too I'm kind of surprised I hadn't noticed that.

"Adeline that's a cool name haven't heard that before" I say instead of answering

"URGGGG" Adeline grumbled "this is supposed to be the easy one Belle"

"is your name really that bad?" Belle asked

"maybe considering it means the same thing as my sister does" I say which was part of the truth

"it's just a name I'll call you it until you tell us" Belle said

"Essie" I say

"isn't that a nickname?" Adeline said

"... ya it is" I say

"I'll tell you Belle's full name if you tell me yours" Adeline offered

"what!" Belle yelped "don't you dare!"

"Ester Skylight" I blurted

"her name is Isabelle Fletcher!" Adeline managed before she got tackled

"Adeline Everly Hayes!" Belle shouted

"Isabelle Cassidy Fletcher!" Adeline yelped back

then they both froze at the same time.

"wait you said Skylight?" Belle said slowly "like your last name is Skylight?"

dang it I was hoping they hadn't noticed that

"yes king Gairon's my uncle" I say "I'm so lucky"
