As Xiao Bao left the gym and were now outside, the both of them looked at the sky. The sun had disappeared below the horizon, casting a deep orange glow across the sky. As the last vestiges of daylight began to fade, the world around Xiao Bao and Zhang Da was plunged into a soft, velvety darkness. The air was cool and crisp, carrying with it the faint scent of an ending summer. The two friends exchanged a few words before parting ways, each heading towards their respective homes, promising to meet up soon.

As the sun began to set, Xiao Bao walked through the familiar streets of his neighborhood, lost in thought.

As he walked through the dimly lit streets, his mind was occupied with thoughts of the second chance system and how it had changed his life. He wondered what the future held for him, and how different things would be now that he was back in high school. The thought of having a second chance at life filled him with a mix of excitement and anxiety. He couldn't shake the feeling that all of this was just a dream, and that when he awoke, everything would be gone.

Despite the uncertainty, Xiao Bao couldn't help but feel grateful for this opportunity. He knew that many people would give anything to have a second chance at life, and he was determined not to waste it.

As Xiao Bao approached the front door of his house, he couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness and frustration at the sight of their rundown house. The peeling paint, the broken windows were all too familiar to him. He knew that his family was struggling financially, his mother worked hard to maintain their lives of three people, and he was determined to do everything in his power to change their circumstances and improve their quality of life.

He had a burning desire to make things better for his younger sister, Xiao Mei, who was was in the same school as him. He wanted to give her the opportunity to study in university. In his previous life, she never studied in university, because they couldn't afford it. She started worked the moment she graduated from high school.

And his mother, Xiao Xue, worked tirelessly as a waitress in a bustling noodle shop. She was often harassed by men, who would grope her bottom or make unwanted comments. Despite the constant disrespect and abuse, Xiao Xue remained steadfast in her determination to provide for him and his sister.

As Xiao Bao stepped through the door, the tantalizing aroma of his favorite dish, dumplings, wafted through the air, tickling his senses and making his stomach rumble in anticipation. His mother, Xiao Xue, was hard at work in the kitchen, her hands deftly folding the delicate wrappers around the savory filling. Meanwhile, his younger sister, Xiao Mei, was seated at the kitchen table, her phone against her ear, and engaged in lively conversation with her friends.

Xiao Bao couldn't help but smile as he took in the nostalgic scene before him. It was such a long time ago that he experienced an evening like this. When he was young, he didn't appreciate the moment, but now he was extremely happy.

Xiao Bao slowly approached his mother, his heart swelling with affection as he reached out to wrap his arms around her in a tight embrace. As he held her close, Xiao Xue was taken aback, her eyes widening in surprise at the unexpected display of warmth.

"Xiao Bao?" She asked, her voice filled with curiosity as she looked at her son, her confusion evident on her face. She couldn't help but smile at the unexpected change in her son, who usually spent most of his time locked away in his room. What had brought about this sudden shift in her son's behavior, she wondered, as she returned his embrace with a gentle squeeze.

Xiao Xue couldn't help but take another look at her son, her eyes widening in surprise as she noticed the height difference. Because she worked every day and often had late shifts, Xiao Xue rarely had the chance to see her son. She usually came home late and was too tired to notice any changes in her son's appearance. However, today was different. As she embraced her son, she couldn't help but notice how much taller and broader he had become. It was a pleasant surprise, but also a stark reminder of how much time had passed since she last saw him up close.

"Now go away, your mother has to finish making those dumplings."

He walked towards his sister, and gave her a small kiss on her cheek, causing her face to turn a little bit red.

"Go away. You smell bad." Xiao Mei said, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. She quickly turned her attention back to her phone, continuing her conversation with her friend.

Xiao Bao chuckled at her reaction, feeling a sense of warmth and familiarity in their interaction. He knew that despite her teasing, Xiao Mei cared deeply for him, and he for her. They were siblings, after all, and their bond was unbreakable, even if they occasionally bickered like any other siblings.

As Xiao Bao stepped out of the shower, the warm water cascading down his body, he couldn't help but notice the changes in his appearance. His muscles were more defined, his skin was smoother, and his hair had a healthy shine to it. He ran his fingers through his hair, feeling the silky texture, and couldn't help but smile at the transformation.

He had always been a bit on the skinny side, and had never been particularly athletic. But now, he felt stronger and more powerful than ever before. He flexed his biceps, watching as the muscles rippled beneath his skin, and a sense of satisfaction washed over him.

Xiao Bao stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around his waist. As he looked in the mirror, he could see the changes in his appearance more clearly. His face was leaner, his jawline was more defined, and his eyes seemed to sparkle with a newfound confidence.

He couldn't help but wonder if these changes were a result of the second chance system, or if it was simply the natural result of his increased physical activity. Whatever the cause, he was grateful for the improvements, and he was eager to see how far he could push himself.

Xiao Bao, dressed himself in a wife beater and jogging pants, and walked out of the bathroom and into the living room again where he found his sister, Xiao Mei, was done with her phone call. She looked up as he entered, Now that she wasn't busy with her friends she had the time to take a careful look at Xiao Bao, her eyes widening in surprise at his appearance. Only now did she notice how broad her brother's shoulders actually were. How long was he training secretly?

"Xiao Bao, you look different," she said, her voice filled with amazement. "What have you been doing?"

Xiao Bao smiled, feeling a sense of pride at his sister's reaction. "I've been working out," he said, flexing his biceps again for emphasis. "And I guess it's starting to show."

Xiao Mei nodded, her eyes still wide with surprise. "But this morning you look different. How is this possible?"

Xiao Bao smiled, feeling a sense of pride at his sister's reaction. "I guess it's the result of going to the gym," he said, flexing his biceps again for emphasis. "When you're done with training, your body always seems a bit more muscular, thanks to the bulging muscles. It's not much, but it's definitely noticeable."

Xiao Mei pondered for a moment, and concluded that what her brother said sounded very reasonable.

As Xiao Bao, Xiao Mei, and their mother, Xiao Xue, sat around the table, enjoying a meal of delicious dumplings, Xiao Bao couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and contentment. The food was simple, but it was prepared with love, and that made all the difference.

As they ate, Xiao Bao couldn't help but notice the way his mother's face seemed to light up whenever she looked at him and his sister. He knew that she worked hard every day to provide for them, and he was grateful for her unwavering dedication and love.

As they continued to eat, Xiao Bao decided to ask his mother about her day. He knew that she often worked long hours at the noodle shop, and he was curious to know how her day had gone.

"Mom, how was your day?" He asked, his voice filled with genuine concern.

Xiao Xue hesitated for a moment, her eyes darting between her two children. She knew that her day had been far from perfect, but she didn't want to burden her children with her troubles.

"It was...fine," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Xiao Bao could sense that something was bothering his mother, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He knew that she often faced challenges at work, but he had never seen her look so troubled before.

"Mom, is everything okay?" He asked, his voice filled with concern.

Xiao Xue sighed, her eyes filling with tears as she recounted the events of her day. She had been working at the noodle shop for several hours when her boss, the manager of the restaurant, had come up to her and started making unwanted advances.

"He said that if I didn't go out with him, he would fire me," she said, her voice filled with anger and frustration. "I told him that I wasn't interested, but he just wouldn't take no for an answer. He even went as far and kept grabbing my butt for more than half an hour in the back of the restaurant…"

Xiao Bao and his sister were both angry at what they heard. Xiao Bao's heart ached as he listened to his mother's story. His slammed his fist on the table after what he heard that his mother told him. He knew that his mother was vulnerable to the whims of her boss, who held all the power in their relationship.

"I will kill that fucker," he said, his voice filled with determination. "Is he working tomorrow?"

Xiao Xue smiled. She knew that her son wasn't serious, she was happy that her son was being angry in her stead. She knew that he was young and inexperienced, but she also knew that he had a good heart, and that he would always stand up for what was right.

As they continued to eat, Xiao Bao couldn't help but feel a sense of anger and frustration at the way his mother was being treated. He knew that he couldn't change the world overnight, but he was determined to do everything in his power to make things better for his family.

After finishing their meal, Xiao Bao returned to his room and decided to train a little bit more. He did a few more push-ups, determined to improve his strength. Once he had done around 200 push-ups, he sat down at his desk and pulled up the Second Chance System's shop interface. He scrolled through the list of available skills, his eyes widening as he noticed a few more interesting abilities that he could potentially acquire.

He then was pondering over how he could exact his revenge on his mother's boss…
