Chapter 38 - Gobbling Up Some Goblins
Nolen had embarked on a campaign, subduing every goblin tribe he encountered and bringing them under his leadership for the greater good of the tribe. He ensured the safety of the female goblins within the tribe while the remaining survivors were stationed on its outskirts. Despite the fierce opposition from the other orcs, who viewed the goblins as inferior, Nolen envisioned a future where goblins would be of great assistance to the orcs.
The Goblins are a primitive and barbaric race with little culture and technology. They are ruled by their instinct and desire to reproduce. They only follow those they see as strong. They are very similar to Orcs in many ways but have a more animalistic mind and nature, making them easier to pacify. Goblins' unique trait is that they can easily adapt to any environment.
Goblins are highly fertile and can breed with any humanoid species, reproducing quickly. They don't prioritize family structures and rely on tribal loyalty. Young goblins are assigned roles based on their strengths once they mature. Young goblins are raised by the tribe and given roles based on their strengths once they reach maturity.
One of Nolen's aims was to manage the Goblin population effectively. With Romy’s help and some foresight, he sought to regulate their breeding habits and enhance their bloodline, transforming them into valuable assets. Recognizing their remarkable ability to breed swiftly and efficiently, Nolen saw the potential for goblins to significantly bolster their forces, contributing to the strength and prosperity of the tribe.
In the current situation, he is stuck in this world and is trying to establish a base for himself. He was looking for ways to find his way home and return to Earth, but for now, he had to deal with this world and make the most of it. He needed a strong foundation in this primitive world to survive.
In the meantime, Nolen set out to establish an extensive network spanning the entire continent and beyond to find a way back. He believed that his efforts would lay the groundwork for him to find that way.
This is one of the reasons why he had the stronghold built over the dungeon. He needed a secure location for his base of operations, and the Dungeon was the most suitable for the job. The Dungeon can be used as a source of materials and food, and he was able to set it up to favor the tribe. This will help him accelerate the training of his warriors while securing rare resources that can only be found in dungeons.

A few months had passed, and Nolen was deep in thought. A few goblins approached him; this goblin was a lot taller than normal goblins. Seeing them, Nolen knew these were his offspring from the female goblins he had met previously. Typically, only hand one female goblin for a small goblin nest and several for a large village. Nolen had already liberated and integrated several tribes, including smaller orc tribes, goblin nests, and villages. This was the nature of the orcs, and Nolen had adapted to his new world. They would librate and integrate them.
Orcs usually raid and pillage, but Nolen took a more diplomatic approach. He offered the tribe the opportunity to surrender and join his tribe. If they refused, he would use more forceful methods. Typically, he would confront the strongest orcs of the tribe to establish his authority. This approach often resulted in the tribe either surrendering or yielding to him. If they resisted, they would be defeated, although most chose to submit.
The strong would rule, and the weak would follow the strong, which had always been the orc way.
Nolan always captured the goblins since they were more primitive in nature and would always attack first, submitting to the stronger force. Nolan and his orc warriors would show them who was in charge, and the surviving goblins would almost always submit to them.
"Boss, there are reports of more goblin nests nearby. Should we destroy them?" One of the young goblins spoke.
"Yes, bring the females to Draga for selection, and the rest can join the tribe if they surrender.”
The young goblins were ecstatic to hear this. This was the first time they would go on a raid. Although they were only born a few months ago, they were already fully grown and ready to see the world.
These goblins were Nolen's first offspring.
Nolen recalled the day it happened. It was a few months back.
Draga was already showing signs of her baby bump and was warned by Ghal not to do any rigorous activities, especially with Nolen. Ghal, the resident healer mastering both witchdoctor and shaman arts, examined Draga.
