During the first round Tess would be fighting in the third fight against a rank 2 adventurer named Ginger, who was an assassin. She was definitely going to win the fight, but it would still be fun to watch. But I would have to wait.

 

During that time I decided to look at my status. I had undone the third seal back at the church and hadn’t looked at it since then.

When I looked at my status the first thing I noticed was that my name is no longer assumed.

 

“Can I see?” Uriel asked.

 

“Yeah, sure.” When I gave the go ahead I felt a tingle in my head that I had felt before, when Valentine tried to appraise me, but now there was no message from wisdom. “Hey, is there a reason why my name would change from being assumed to not having anything?”

 

“Yeah. Your name was assumed because deep down you thought of yourself as someone else. But now you no longer do, so your name is your name.”

 

“Cool”. While we were talking about my status, a fight was about to begin. The first fight of the first round was between a 2nd rank adventurer named Victoria, who was a mage, and the captain of the Sky knight order, Ather. Their fight was very boring. Ather wasn’t even trying. She was basically just deflecting every magic shot at her with very basic magic of her own. A fire shot would come at her and she would use water magic to defend.

 

While the fight was going on I decided to look for this cube in my storage. I found several, ranging from 2x2 to 10x10. The seal said that I had to solve the 3x3 one so I grabbed that one and put the rest back. When I was messing with it I figured out what it meant by solving it. You could twist the sides and the colored sides would get messed up. Solving it meant getting it back to the original position, all of the colors matching.

 

After about 10 minutes both the fight ended with Ather winning without even taking a hit, and I messed the cube up enough to where I can no longer fix it. The next thing I do is pull out the book that was with the set of cubes.

 

The book is labeled ‘A beginner's guide to Rubik's type puzzles’. The beginning of the book describes a number of different things. In all honesty I don't think that this is going to be that easy for me to understand. And the main reason for that is, I recognize the handwriting in this book. It's mine. One of the previous me’s wrote this book for the next one. I know how I think and that is not something I want to read.

 

I continue to read the book while the next match is announced. It is Captain Trumhere, golden Paragon of liberty, from the custodians of the crown vs the spearman adventurer Julian. Trumhere, as long as his title is, seems like a strong armored knight. He wields a massive two handed sword and has a set of full plate armor, all colored white and gold. 

 

This fight seemed exciting, with insults being thrown at the armored knight by the spearman. But it lasted only about one minute. The spearman started using a sword art with his spear and charged. Only to then be crushed under the flat of the knight's blade. With one hit, the fight was over.

 

The announcer quickly called the match and announced the next one. While he did so, a group of recovery mages came and brought Julian back to the staging area.

 

But now was the fight I was here to watch. Tess was going to be fighting the assassin from the rank 2 adventurers, Ginger.

 

When they both get on the battlefield, the announcer starts the battle and I use auto movement to adjust my stats to follow whatever Tess does. Using wisdom I can match her stats perfectly. The fight starts right away. Tess pulled both of her swords out and the assassin prepared her knives. But then Tess charges. Her speed is so high that she would be nothing but a blur to the other people watching. But to me she was moving at a normal pace. Yes she was running but I could still follow.

 

When she met the assassin she hit her in the head with the flat of her sword. This had enough force to throw her back and hit the wall. With her speed slowing down, I lowered mine as well and we heard the shocked cheers as the match ended in less than a second.

 

When the crowd would normally start cheering, there was only silence. Deciding that she deserved some cheers, I started cheering. I was close enough to the arena that she heard me directly and saw me. She waved over to me to say hi and I waved back.

 

Once again the announcer declared the next fight when the two combatants left the field. The next fight was Vice Captain of the Royal White Knights vs The ranger Clayton. Not really interested in this fight, I went back to my book.

 

But then, a person came up to me in the staff uniform for the colosseum. “Excuse me, are you Mr. None?”

 

“Yep.” I said back to him.

 

‘Oh thank you, I was sent to collect you for Miss Tess so you can watch the rest of today's matches from the combatant area with her, as her friend.”

 

“Oh Thank you.”
