It has been concluded that I somehow breached the internet of a high-profile business. There were men and women dressed in odd-looking uniforms. If I tune into Earth's Core, I learn these men and women work for the government of this era. They are known as the military. 

Now let's transfer the internet connection to our location.

 

[System is trying to connect to the internet...]

After a few minutes of trial and error

[System has connected to a high-speed internet! All data from this location has been transferred!]

[World Wide Location Skill: System now has access to the entire data realm of the Military]

 

Oooh Sounds exciting! Alright, now that I am connected it's time to search for a hacker to use this new skill of mine. Unfortunately, I won't be able to use such a skill without one. 

 

[ERROR!}

[ERROR!]

 

"What's happening!" A man wearing a military chief hat came rushing into the security room. 

"Sir, someone's trying to hack the system!" Someone yells.

Did I get caught already? Impossible. I retracted my vines. It's time to make bail now that I have what I came for.

A new text appeared on the screen above. 

 

[Finally, I have breached the military! Now, to launch the missiles upon these horrid lands!]

 

A crazy person? I should stop them. I reattached my vines to connect to the hacker. 

 

System: [You sure you want to do that?]

Hacker: [What how is it possible? I hacked them first! Go away!]

 

"Hey, what's going on?"

"There's another hacker?"

"Find a way to block both hackers this instant!"

The event marked a strange phenomenon none of these military people could understand right before their eyes a conversation between two hackers. It was as though they had no care in their surroundings. 

 

System: [That is where you are wrong. You see I was here first. Unlike you, I came for the internet.]

Hacker: [Ha! I came to destroy this rotten world! I won't let you stand in my way!]

 

This hacker, I want them! They seemed mad at the world, if that's so I can direct that anger toward my goals. What is this feeling of excitement? I want them! I WANT THEM.

 

System: [Go ahead. But I assure you, such a small-minded goal as this is not even close to what I had in mind.]

Hacker: [...What do you mean by this?]

 

Looks like I got their attention. Now to start the recruiting.

 

System: [Have you ever thought of world domination? Why use your precious skill to destroy the world, when we could make it ours?]

Hacker: [Why should I bother? Because of this world, I'm alone. I have no one. They took away my family! Why? Why?]

System: [Was it the Hunters?]

Hacker: [That's right. Because of them, my family is no longer with me. Since you know, then, you won't stop me from destroying this cruel and unfair system!]

 

I see. So, this person is like me. An unfair justice system that deems hunters the priority above all. Like how I was tossed aside for this world to be made this way. Is this really what the hero was hoping for? Lunen. Is this the kind of world that you want? 

 

System: [You do have a family. I will recruit you as family, to make this world ours. What do you say? Will you destroy this world? Such a measly world will turn you into such a coward?]

Hacker: [....]

System: [I'll send you my location. If you make up your mind, you can find me.]

 

Thankfully, I can send my location without the military catching wind. I don't want them to be able to track me. Since I'm not prepared yet. I must build my empire of loyal servants and take over this world!

Well, it's time to log off.

The military was left to rebuild their servers from the unexpected breach. No one was able to track either of the hackers. Even the messages were completely wiped from the data.

"We have quite a problem on our hands. If neither of those hackers are found, I feel, we'll have a mutiny on our hands." The military chief says. His expression was sour as the recent event sent a shiver down his spine. Anyone would see this as pipe dreams of crazy hackers, but that one hacker who came after the other hacker felt different. It's the words it spoke. It breached their system without setting off any alarms. Now that is scary beyond repair. 

I returned the vines to the base. I think I'll receive news from the unknown hacker soon. I wonder how long it will take them? "Boss, you returned. did you manage to connect to the internet?"

 

System: [That's right. I also found quite an interesting specimen. It should arrive in the next day or so.]

 

Kyoto tilted his head to the side. "Did you find something interesting, Boss?" He asked.

 

System: [Someone. It's a person.]

 

Kyoto brightened. Does this mean he won't be the only human around here now? It's only been a day since he arrived here. But sitting around talking to a tiny screen has turned him into mush.  He hopes the new human comes sooner. 

 

1 Weel later

 

[Completion of Research.]

[Researched low-level bonemeal; used as fertilizer and animal feed.]

[Kyoto obtained 20 research points (since Kyoto is a scientist) .]

[Kyoto learned a new skill; Research Speed Collecting: Can now accumulate research faster.]

 

It took him a lot longer than I expected. I didn't expect much when his level was still shallow. I should be glad he managed to research what I wanted though. It's the start of creating a farmland for future food supplies. It will be hard if he's the only researcher, when will that hacker arrive?

 

[Warning! Low life form; human, has stepped into the System's domain.]

 

Kyoto glanced at his game screen where a map could be seen. It was a map given to all members by the system. It's not as decked out as the one the system has, but it's good enough.

"Boss, it seems we have company."

 

System: [No need to worry. It's the guest we have been waiting for. It's about time. Shall we welcome them with open arms?]
