In all obviousness... no.

Perhaps the only way in which a pencil would be useful is... when he has John Wick's level of focus, commitment, and sheer fucking will!

Which isn't actually much to Shinobis, unless it's a pencil empowered by Lightning Release or whatever.

And perhaps the only way in which a stack of paper would be useful... would perhaps be when he has Konan's level of paper-thingy-majigy with it.

Looking at it objectively, his pencil and papers don't mean jack shit, does it?

However, Pedomaru was not too disheartened.

Their still are advantages to what he has, which is writing.

As they say, the pen is mightier than the sword. The pencil must also be in that category, right?

Then, the paper should also be mightier than the shield or whatever.

But that's just him, coping in jest.

Though... eventually... he did write what he wanted to write.

Setting aside the urge to continue his Orochimaru fanfic, as it's not too important...

Why speculate the fictional life of another when he has his own reality to live and traverse in?

Though, in a way, he's doing that as he eventually wrote the timeline... titled 'The Life of Orochimaru'. Of the Legendary Sannin.

Then there's 'The Life of Shimura Danzo', and 'The Life of  Black Zetsu', both masterclass manipulators.

And yeah... Hiruzen but he's yet to be timelined.

After those were 'The Life of Uchiha Madara', 'The Life of Uchiha Obito', and 'The Life of Uchiha Itachi', all are easily manipulated fools.

Essentially pawns.

Overpowered pawns.

Supposedly smart but still stupid.

Geniuses yet gullible.

Obito seems stupid and dull to begin with, so he gets a pass, but does it even matter?

For Pedomaru, they may have raised the Uchiha clan's stock value but they devalued it all the same.

Which is really a shame.

A shame for him... a poor, unfortunate soul... who's now stuck in this village... but also not...

The extinction of the Kurama clan's rival should be a good thing, right?

And yes... he's come to terms with his clan lineage thing already, but also not.

He had three years to mull over it and he's got his whole life ahead of him to deal with the pros and cons to come.

Which is why 'The Life of Kurama Yakumo' was of high-import. Not that there was a lot to write when it came to a anime-exclusive filler character.

Consequently, because this whole world is conceptualized around a character named Naruto, it made sense for him to make a timeline called 'The Life of Uzumaki Naruto'. The Child of Destiny... apparently.

Accordingly, from there, it was probably the supporting casts and whatnot... but it was a whole lot that he hadn't really gotten to them.

Objectively, it really would have made sense for him to just recapitulate the whole anime series, from one episode to the next.

Alternatively, there's the whole manga, from one chapter to the next.

So, why was he specifying to just one specific character at a time?

Honestly, Pedomaru just didn't have much trust in his own memory.

Compartmentalization, like how he's currently doing, just worked... for him.

Timelines also worked much better in his opinion. Must be because of all the bullet points that he prefers making.

It's really quite similar to how he drafted his fanfiction.

Which beckons back to the memory problem. As aside from having written fanfics, he's also read enough fanfics to know of some world-jumping caveats wherein knowledge of past lives gets blurred over time.

He wasn't too sure if that was also the same for his case but writing down notes is better than nothing.

But it could cost him everything as well.

Granted, he wasn't blind to the potential plot detriment that these stacks of paper would have.

He wasn't stupid enough to let anyone get a hold of these things.

Barring that one-time incident with his parents, he still had the "English" encryption to all his inscriptions.

All in all, he kind of stands with that wise idiom or whatnot.... about a pen, pencil, and whatever... being able to accomplish a lot more than a sword.

The sword hacks and slashes... while his inherent English-to-Japanese translation without the hassle of Duolingo has way much more layer to it, in the context of writing.

Still, his complacency probably wasn't much to the Cypher and Cryptanalysis specialists that this militant world has, but Pedomaru wasn't about to draw their attention towards these things.

After all, it's not like he's out to recreate the Naruto manga while in the Naruto world.

Something as absurd as that would just be too much of an ultimate goal. Haha.

Shout out to that novel, if you know, you know. Dattebayo.

And again, this is trash.
