Announcement
This is my first time writing a LITRPG or anything game related, feel free to live tips and suggestions. Also, I have worked out a few classes and skills but am looking for more, so feel free to leave suggestions and ideas!

Having dealt with the character creation, it was time to switch over to his class selection. The previous blue screens disappeared and made way for a new one.

[Select a starter class.]

>Wanderer: (Player exclusive class) Starts out with one of the starter equipment sets of choice - grants all starters classes - (Early unlock) of the subclass skill  - Increases experience gain by 100% - Double stat gain when player lvls up.

Warning: Wanderers can't have more than ten followers and can't become a lord.

>Swordsmen: Starts out with basic swordsmen equipment - gains skill sword mastery - gains skill sword slash.

>Archer: Starts out with basic Archery equipment - gains skill archery - gains skill Quick shot.

>Tank: Starts out with basic tank equipment - Gains skill heavy weaponry expert - gains skill armored.

^^ More classes can be unlocked through class books or in-game encounters.

The wanderer looked really appealing at first sight until the nerfs became visible. Becoming a wanderer would be a great option for those not interested in the kingdom-building aspect of the game. For example, people that wanted to just be an adventurer, travel around the game world or make a mercenary company of the sorts, although a small one.

Joseph, however, wanted to explore the kingdom-building aspect as well. The forum briefly explained how you can actually develop the land, build and farm things on it, and so forth. So this limitation was a deal breaker for him; it was only natural, though, considering how many benefits there were, there should be some serious debuffs.

He, however, decided to check that subclass ability out; even if he wasn't going to select the class, some knowledge wouldn't hurt.

[Subclass](Passive): Allows you to have two classes active at the same time. Warning: XP gain is split between active classes.

This seemed like a pretty good ability, especially if class-gained skills could only be used when the class of said skill was selected. So, Knowing this, it would be smart to be wary of other players.

Considering that more classes could be unlocked later on and that you could select and unselect them, his first-class should be good to start out with. Having it also work long-term would prevent him from wasting XP, but it wouldn't be an absolute must. So he first decided to compare the equipment sets of different classes.

[Basic swordsmen equipment.]

>Basic Sword
> Leather body armor.
> Leather arm bracers.
> Leather thigh armor.
> Leather leg armor.
> Leather boots.
>Underwear

[Basic archer equipment]

> Basic wooden bow.
> 2 quivers of arrows. (25 iron-tipped arrows per quiver)
> 1 basic dagger.
> Leather brigandine chest armor
> Leather greaves
> Leather boots.
>Underwear

[Basic tank equipment.]

> Basic mace
> Basic round shield.
> Leather helmet.
>Leather metal padded chest plate.
>Leather metal padded gorget.
> Leather Pauldrons.
> Leather leg armor.
>Leather boots
>Underwear

In terms of starter equipment, the tank would definitely be the greatest now; moving on to skills.

Swordsmen

[LVL1]> [sword mastery](passive) > Sword mastery provides knowledge & mastery over the sword as well as muscle memories + [sword slash](active){10EXH} > Make a strong slash with your sword, it's strength and speed get amplified by your STR and AGI stats.

Archer

[LVL1]> [Archery](passive)> Archery provides knowledge and mastery over bows as well as muscle memory for it + [Quick shot](active){10EXH}> Allows you to make a quick and accurate shot.

Tank

[LVL1]> [Heavy weaponry expert](passive) > Grants knowledge and mastery over heavy weaponry as well as muscle memory. + [Armoured](passive)> Increases the effectiveness of armor while decreasing their deterioration speed in combat.

Now, the first question is what exhaustion means; luckily, the game quickly clarified.

[Some abilities cause exhaustion, whether physical or mental, which reduces stamina.]

So basically, stamina points are decreased when using special attacks. Now, This brings up the question of which class is most suitable. The tank starters items are really amazing, but both skills are passive ones. Even then, it's still a great class to start out with. The problem comes when you level it up. It's a tank class, so it's likely to give skills like [taunt] or certain buff spells.

A damage soaker is useless without a damage dealer, and although I have no doubt that a tank can deal quite a bit of damage, it just isn't versatile enough. There's that missing skill that can help you out of a pinch. After all, tanks are catered to receiving and dealing with damage not helping oneself out in a pinch.

Swordsmen seem like a more offensive class with its close combat specialization and a nice looking damage orientated ability. I imagine that the class will unlock more offensive-oriented abilities.

Archer seems really interesting to, but it's a range class meaning that in a forest or similar environment, it can be used against you. The dagger would give some protection at close range, but overall, it remains really dangerous, especially since it has less starter armor than the other classes.

On the other hand, I wish to become a leader, so the Archer class would allow me to remain in the back and give orders while keeping a clear overview. I also don't know how long it takes to unlock the second class. On the other hand, I also don't know how long it'll take to gain followers.

After thinking for a while, Joseph decided to go for the Archery class. If you forget about monsters for a moment, it will also help with hunting. Besides that, the dagger can be used to make a spear, so you have something for close combat if push comes to shove. The spear is also a less complicated weapon, so it's easier to master than a sword, at least the basics, that is.

Besides, hit-and-run tactics seem more appealing than brute forcing yourself into something. The only real problems would be arrows, but he could research how to make those on the internet when he's offline.

[Selected]

>Archer

[Are you sure?}

> Yes
> No

After clicking yes, he once again felt himself being transported, and before he even realized it, he was standing in the middle of the forest, buck naked.

" No tutorial, nothing? "

'Well, Guess, that's that. Luckily, I read the basics on the forum before I started.'

" Inventory. "

[Inventory]

> Basic wooden bow.
> 2 quivers of arrows. (25 iron-tipped arrows per quiver)
> 1 basic dagger.
> Leather brigandine chest armor
> Leather greaves
> Leather boots.
>Underwear

After checking his immediate surroundings, which appeared to be a fucking forest, he quickly withdrew his items, starting with his underwear, after which the dagger followed, just in case. Once he had those, he withdrew his armor and started dressing properly. He left one quiver in his Inventory and withdrew the other one, slinging it over his back.

Once he wasn't buck naked anymore and had a chance to defend himself, he slowly but surely started to calm down. Looking down at his legs, he started to pay more attention to the feeling down there.... He could actually feel his legs; this alone made him smile brightly. Yes, He deep-dived before in games and could walk and do all that type of stuff, but he never actually felt his legs. Now he did, and oh, it was amazing.

He couldn't help but happily kick around a few times, jump and squad, feeling the sensation go over his different muscles during the action. After playing around with his legs a little longer, he finally moved on to check his stats.

[Status:]
>Health 100/100
>Stamina 100/100
>Mana 100/100

[Stats:]
>LVL 1 Player XP 0/100
>END: 10
>AGI: 10
>STR: 10
>INT: 10

[Classes:]
> LVL1 Archer 0/300

[Class skill active]
> Quick shot

[Class skill passive]
>Archery

[Unselected class: N/A]

[Personal skills/abilities:]
>Special skills: Accept soul oath - Physiological protection

>Active skills:

>Passive skills:

The information checks out so far based on what's available on the forum, END equals health and stamina, Agility equals speed and INT was purely for magical purposes. Dex and things like reaction speed all dependent on someones own capabilities and weren't influenced by stats. Physiological protection, however, wasn't mentioned anywhere, So wanting more information on that, he decided to select that.

Accept soul oath: Allows players to let NPC's pledge their souls to them. It's possible for players to reincarnate/respawn into the bodies of people that have pledged their soul to them. Besides that, Players can spend souls in the soul shop once that feature is unlocked. If you spend souls, it doesn't cause those people whose souls you used to die, but you do remove them from the cycle of reincarnation. NPCs whose souls you own can't betray you.

[Physiological protection]: Under International humanitarian law the needless and purposeful infliction of pain, leading to permanent damage or trauma is forbidden. This skill gives basic mental protection against traumatic content and forcefully removes permanent trauma caused by the game.

(Important to keep in mind: Traumatic content is only considered permanent if the player suffers from it for more than 24 Hours)

(Important to keep in mind: removal of permanent trauma might result in temporary memory loss.)

That sounds fucking suspicious; well, It's there, so that's that, moving on. Food: He didn't gain any starter food, so it's important to gather some food. If the forums were to believe, which he most definitely did after seeing his legs being fixed up like that, at least in the game. You can actually get hungry and experience hunger and starvation. Ingame hunger has nothing to do with IRL hunger since those things are completely separated. If you've just eaten yourself fully before going online, you can still be hungry in the game. If you haven't eaten there yet, It's bizarre.

He decided to slowly make his way into the forest, and it didn't take him long to run into his first monsters. A bunch of small green humanoid creatures, such as goblins.

It was a group of five, and they were small, ranging from 91 to 106 cm. He believed goblins to be one of the weaker monsters; the problems came with their swarming tactics.

He was alone, and he was in a forest; if the goblins used the trees to advance on him, he wouldn't be able to do much. He was about to sneak past them when he noticed someone else sneaking upon them from a different direction. Looking at the armor he was wearing, he didn't think it was an NPC. It looked an awful lot like the starters our swordsmen wore; the guy noticed him as well and waved stupidly at him, which confirmed Joseph's guess. That's definitely a player!

Upon seeing the guy making weird bow-drawing gestures, Joseph decided to do as asked and grabbed an arrow from his quiver. He straightened his posture, put his arrow onto the bow, and pulled the string. Shortly afterward, he released it; the wooden, metal-tipped piece flew through the air and embedded itself into one of the goblin's skulls.

[+30XP]

He quickly drew another arrow while the goblins started rushing towards him. Just like he thought, they made use of the trees to rush him; luckily, the swordsmen intercepted them halfway, just as Joseph shot his second goblin.

[+30XP]

The swordsmen killed one, the remaining two switched their attention to the swordsmen, and Joseph used their moment of hesitation to get another one using his [Quick shot] ability.

[+30 XP]

The swordsmen finished the other one up just as quickly, after which he started waving stupidly at him once again.

" Friendly, Friendly "

Joseph couldn't help but chuckle as he waved back, making his way over to him and asking.

" How're you enjoying the game so far? "

The swordsman gave an enthusiastic smile as he spoke.

" It's fucking amazing; the graphics and realism of it all are off the chart. You can actually breathe, smell, and taste things. It's fucking incredible! "

Joseph couldn't help but smile at the guys enthusiasm as he responded.

" Sure is. "

Swordsmen: " So, Do you know where we are? "

Max responded

" No, not really. I just spawned as well. We should probably find a river or something and follow it to find a village or town or something.

Swordsmen: " Ah, That's a shame. I guess we both don't know much then, huh? "

Max chuckled as he spoke, " That's so; let me get my arrows. "

Upon saying so, he moved to a nearby goblin, pulling his arrow out of his skull and wiping the blood and brain ooze off on its loincloth. He put it back on the quiver and made it's way over to the other arrow when he heard the other guy coming up from behind him.

He turned around just to see the guy swinging his sword toward him; he quickly leaped to the side to evade, but the guy adjusted his aim, cutting into the top of his right arm, which wasn't protected by the brigandine armor.

" WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?! "

The stinging pain of a sword cutting into his shoulder didn't matter as much to Joseph as the suddenness of it all. He flipped around as he spoke, quickly grabbing another arrow to do a Quick shot, but he was much too late. The swordsman at close range was quicker and more able to; he plunged his sword into the unprotected area around his shoulder while speaking.

" Just want to see how much XP a pla. "

He was interrupted by Joseph's scream, who didn't remain silent as the sword pierced into his frame from his armpit.

" Oh damm, You actually have pained turned on. You are a sigma for real! "

As he said, so, he used the skill sword slash to suddenly push the sword, now stuck within his frame, right up, killing Joseph on the spot.

Darkness and a few notifications overwhelmed Joseph as he succumbed to that sleepy feeling.

" Only 9 XP? Dammm, What a waste. a fucking goblin gave more. "
