As soon as I cleared the door I immediately shot into the air for the furthest and highest perch away from the entrance that I could find, and luckily for me it wasn't a moment too soon as the front doors burst open and the Centaur dude and Naga-Lady practically (Dash)ed into the room looking for me.

I had to hold in my snicker as they looked up and around in a confused rage before the Centaur-Dude actually stamped his hoof in anger and practically tore a pillar from it place in his anger. "Fuck" and then he turned on the Naga-Lady that tried sneaking up on me, "Why the fuck didn't you catch it sooner?"

"You think this is my fault you decomposing jackass?" She hissed, "If you hadn't gone on a monologue and stalled like you did we could've captured them much sooner, and not only that but master would've been incredibly pleased knowing we'd gotten another Dragon for him."

Wait, there was another Dragon here? I didn't think that the Quest the System was giving me included another Dragon...did that mean that the Answer that it also gave me meant that this other Dragon-Chosen was someone that I was going to be close to for a better period of my life?

...

Nothing to say about that System? Huh, and here I was thinking that you were trying to become more helpful to me since the whole "You've been Chosen by The World thing..."

Statement: Entity is not authorized to answer such inquiries.

Excuses. Excuses. I'm starting to believe that you're just along for the ride at this point Voice...just another Voice in my head at this point, but offering nothing that's actually helpful to my growth or whatever.

Statement: Entity is not a designation within the User's mind.
Inquiry: Does User get along with other Entities within User's mind?

What? No. I don't have any other Voices in my head. Just yours, and to be completely honest just you're enough of a nuisance that I don't think I'd stay sane with another voice in my head.

...

What are those for?! I swear, you've gotten somehow more expressive even though you're less communicative with me.

....Enough of that. I need to go and find this other Chosen-Dragon...Person. I imagine since they're Undead they probably have a way of letting their master know that there is now an infiltrator here, and another Dragon at that, but I doubt he'll let them try and kill me if he's using the other one as a sort of experiment. Though, if I do manage to get myself captured or something I would probably be able to escape with my Racial Abilities.

I stalked above the pair that was patrolling below, futilely still looking for me, but now that I didn't want to be found I just kept my (Invisibility) up and there was literally nothing that they'd be able to do to both sense and capture me if they tried. It was very unnerving though, being able to hide like this from beings that were an entire Tier above myself, and it was incredibly powerful that something like this probably shouldn't exist, but here I was, and I was going to take full advantage of it to get past them to wherever it was their Master was keeping himself.

It was likely that if I were to find them then I would find the Chosen that I was looking for, and while I was pretty sure that I wouldn't be able to do that other Quest, I didn't want to let it go just yet in case something strange happened where I'd be able to complete it somehow. It was like this for the next two hours, and after the first half-hour the pair that had been searching for me went back to guard the main doors, and I was left alone with my thoughts as I searched the gigantic place for something that looked important.

I passed the time by asking The Voice any kind of questions I could think of: What it's favorite colors were, if it had a favorite food, species, or ability that I hadn't seen before; a lot of them it didn't want to answer, saying they were irrelevant and that it wasn't Entity like I was, but I continued to pester with with Questions until I imagine it either tuned me out, or shut down somehow...leaving me to wonder in silence whether it was actually alive or not since it clearly had a moderate amount of sentience.

It was near the two hour mark that I found something that looked a little more important than the vast majority of this castle: It was a door, a simple, and yet strangely placed door in the middle of a random hallway, and there was another one right next to it that looked the exact same. I walked through the halls for a few paces longer to see if there was a trend, but nope. Somehow, with all this space and this gigantic castle, just these two doors were the only thing that was in this entire hallway.

At least one of them were a trap, I could guess that much, but which one?

I stuck my head through both in turn, seeing that they both had an identical hallway going on for quite a while, but one went right and the other went left, but it was kinda convoluted as the left door's hallway went right, and the right door's hallway went left. It had to be some strange Spatial shenanigans going on for them to do that at the same point, seemingly, but I didn't know what else there was about it.

I walked through the left door till I reached the hallway at the end. Dead end.

I backtracked a little and hopped through the walls to the other tunnel and was met with the same thing, so I went back to the beginning and hopped through the doors again, wondering if there was something special about this that I was missing, and it turned out that I had to open the door for something to happen, as the moment I did a strange kind of membrane shimmered into existence the moment the door opened.

The both opened outwards, towards the wall on the opposite side of the middle between them, and there wasn't anything really sticking out for any of my Skills that was telling me which one was good and which one wasn't as they both felt the same. I decided that I'd stick something through both of them and if it came back out fine or not would determine which one I went through, but that turned out to be harder then I thought, as the moment I stuck through anything that wasn't living it just hit the membrane and kind of...shifted through visible on the other side of the doorway and completely fine.

I hummed to myself and decided that it might be easier if I did something else, barring going outside and grabbing one of the undead, I was going to abuse the System a little: I looked around the area for a little while, even going as far as to go outside and see if I could grab a bird or two rather than going so far away as to grab some undead, and lucky for me, there was a flock of Undead birds of some kind sitting on the dead trees around the court-yard, so after a quick grab-and-go mission I brought two of them back to the spot I'd been with (Spatial Warp).

Then I just unceremoniously threw one of the birds at an entrance and waited for something to happen, the one I threw through the right door disappeared and seeing that it wasn't on the other side of the doorway I knew that it had gone through whatever portal this was, so I waited, and after about five minutes of nothing happening and no notification coming that I assisted in killing something I followed it through.

The sight that I saw on the other side was nothing short of otherworldly: it was like I'd somehow stepped into an entire other world, and for a moment I looked at the advanced weaponry and machines with a familiarity that I hadn't felt for a while now, but also a bit of awe as this was the first time I'd seen actual technology in this new life that was similar to my previous worlds'. The bird was no-where to be seen, and that wasn't surprising, so I released the other one struggling to free itself from my paws, and it flew off as quickly as it possibly could.

I was then reminded that I would now have to search through this gigantic place and I had no idea how long that would actually take...sure, there wasn't any sort of time limit on the Quest or anything, but I didn't want to find myself stuck on another foreign world where...something in the distance caught my eye: an incredible contrast to the black, gray, green, and purple of the glowing technology that dominated this place; it was a beacon of white light, a sort of light in the dark per say. I wasn't entirely sure if that was the being that I was looking for, but there was something so...familiar about it that my instincts weren't allowing me to overlook it.

I shot into the air directly for it and found that the glowing light was coming from a tower, the highest one here actually, and the entire thing had been covered in metal plating so thick that I doubted a space-ship would do anything but blast it off of the tower rather than actually damaging the thing itself. I let my entire being fade into the Second Layer, surprising myself as the entire world turned into a barren wasteland rather then the corporeal mirror of whatever this place was.

Strange...I don't know if that should happen or not... I did the same thing as earlier, shifting just my head into the First Layer and everything came back into being. Including the fact that the tower had somehow gotten close enough that I'd almost run into it with my face.

I immediately halted mid-air and hovered in place where the structure was, thankful that with the rest of my body being in a different Plane of Existence there was no sound of my wings beating the air to give myself away, but I also wasn't sure if there was some kind of life-detector inside of this thing, so I wasn't sure how to proceed.

I flew around the structure, ingraining everything about it into my mind so that I didn't mess this up, then I let myself return to the Second Layer and hovered past where the walls would be before letting my head and neck return to the First Layer and looking around to make sure that I'd actually done it.

Interestingly enough though, was that trying to land on the floor proved to be a strange experience as my feet seemed to go right through it, and upon realizing that with my body in the Second Layer and only my head being in my Original Plane I didn't actually have the ability to land or whatever unless I returned all of me to this Layer as well. I let my head return to the base layer, hovering in place and taking a second to make sure that all of me had returned, and then I set myself back into my original Layer and landed softly on the metal flooring that this place had.

The light was coming from a completely sealed off metal box that only had holes near the bottom of it with what looked like netting of some kind that failed to completely trap in the light. I really wanted to phase in there and see what it was making such a blinding array, but the safety of my direct area came first so I forced myself to walk around the cage, cautiously studying all the strange wires and gismos connected to the top of the box where a kind of box hummed with energy that seemed to feed from the box into all the wires connected to it.

I followed one of them to the walls where it was attached to before running along the length of the wall and through the floor to what I imagined was some kind of science experiment, and then something changed: the light hum turned into a slow whine that increased in volume before turning into a near deafening volume, and then it cut off and I looked up from where I'd pressed myself down to cover my ears just as a blast of pure energy sent me flying.

To be totally honest, I don't like how this chapter came out: I wanted to keep to the same world with where I was going, but I couldn't really find a way of getting past the portals issue without going down a rabbit hole that would've extended the rest of the chapter. Plus who doesn't like the sudden introduction of a Necron world...which also wasn't my intention *_*

Anyways I hope you enjoyed and I'll see y'all in (Part 2)!
Things are going to get intense from here on out.
