I teleported us to the edge of the giant undead tech-castle's walls just as the thing that was powering something else shut down: it seemed that there was a gigantic screen-like portal that was being generated from Aurora's power and now that she was gone and there was nothing that was powering the whole thing anymore it seemed that we'd halted what amounted to be an Undead Invasion force from here to our home planet.
Who would've thought that the first planet I got to see would be a barren wasteland with an Undead Overlord hellbent on world domination? A bit of a cliche in my opinion, but then again, with nothing else to do and an eternity to exist I didn't imagine the guy really thought of a peaceful way of life...being dead and all.
"T-to have a teleportation Skill, and at such a young age..." Aurora said from beside me and I cocked my head at her curious. She wasn't much bigger than I was, and her status had (Young) in it still too, so she couldn't have been much older than I was.
Didn't you say that you also had a teleportation Skill, or something similar that relied on Light? I stared at her, disregarding the fact that she was literally broadcasting our location in the sky to the entire world, You can't be much older than I am...
"It's quite rude to inquire about a Dragonesses age..."
But you aren't an adult yet, we're both still children, so it's fine if I ask how old you are when I myself am still of the (Young) status as well. I interrupted her and her face scrunched up into something akin to a confused shock, before morphing into laughter and she almost plummeted to the earth because of it.
At this point there was a sort of cloud forming in the distance and it seemed to be getting bigger and growing ever closer the more we hovered in the air. "You're right, I do have a teleportation Skill, and I'm about Twenty-Six Summers old now." The air was starting to hum and she looked back at the growing cloud of something slightly fearful of what it could be. "Regardless of how close we are in age I do believe that we should be getting out of here no?"
I looked back at the growing cloud as well and thought that this would be the perfect time to use one of my newest discoveries when playing with (Chaos Protostar). I manipulated the orb of energy floating above my head to split using a mitosis-like process, so that I would have two orbs of equal power, but one that wasn't under my direct control. Then I gave the free-floating one before me the order to continuously split until the membrane that held the power within was thin to a point where outside interference would set it off, but not thin enough that it would burst upon the slightest movement.
I gave it a last order to start spreading out and cover as much area as possible as the first order took place and the orb started splitting a few times within the blink of my eye. Yeah, lets go now. I agreed and (Spatial Warp)ed to the location I'd come here with the portal leading back home, but upon getting there--instead of seeing a doorway similar to the one I'd entered from like was there before--there were now a pair of very scary-looking Wraith Undead. I knew that they noticed us, there wasn't any way something here wouldn't notice us with the living beacon of light I was rescuing broadcasting our location to everything.
But they didn't move regardless, so I used that chance to look at how dangerous they were.

Huh, I could probably take them, but that would also mean that I was leaving Aurora to her own devices for a little an unknown about of time. Instead, I looked around for a moment to see if there was anything that was tall enough to hide Aurora's visibility, and there was a small mountain of what looked like ash in the far distance. A (Spatial Warp) later and it was suddenly much, much larger.
I was hoping that we'd be able to leave without fighting, but seeing as that's likely not going to be an option could you cover yourself in ash and mud please. I asked her, reluctant to look at her as I was fearful of what her expression might be. Supposedly Dragons were supposed to be mighty and proud creatures so...I took a peek behind me and saw that she wasn't there. I looked around wondering where she'd gone and found that Aurora was dutifully rubbing her entire body, including her face, in a mud-ash mixture of earth that was at least belly deep for her.
She was a head or so taller than I was already, so I could only guess that that pit of mud and ash was probably deep enough to cover my entire body if I fell into it. I, um...I honestly didn't you expect you to do that without fussing about it.
"Yeah. Another of our kind would've refused to sully scales so bright and shiny as mine are, but I've been through enough and I've had to do something like this before to hide from others, so I have no issue with doing this if it means we'll have an easier chance of escaping. Plus, a quick bath, or some help would be appreciated and it should wash off pretty easily." She admitted and for some reason the image of helping a female, even if my mind wasn't completely in tune with my body yet, made my face heat up from embarrassment.
She suddenly lept out of the water as if remembering something and she turned to me in a panic. At this point most of her body had been completely covered by now, and it was pretty much just her head and back that were left uncovered. "Oh, I completely forgot! I was with someone else. We both got trapped and drawn into the Undead Empire together back on the other world, and I want to help her escape as well. I know you can do it; you helped me escape after all, so could we help her too?"
I...don't know who you're talking about. I shook my head, I didn't see anyone else in the castle back on our home world, and I wasn't really inclined to search this one due to the obvious location that you were.
"Then we have to go back and find her." Aurora started walking off in that direction but I hopped in front of her to stop her before she did something stupid. I wasn't sure how well her abilities worked in this semi-lightless world, but I wasn't about to risk losing her due to an ability that went haywire.
Hold on, we don't know if they brought them here with you or not, and I'm betting on not since they weren't important as a power source for whatever it was they were using you to power, so please don't try to use your abilities when you don't know how they'll react here. I put a paw up, knowing full well that she could walk around me, even if I could probably (Spatial Warp) her away it wouldn't be ideal for the Quest.
She stopped and tilted her head at me quizzically, "But you didn't know how your abilities would work in this world either, and yet you still teleport everywhere."
T-that's different, I protested as she walked around me, hopping around and walking by her side, I got the chance to get used to how this world works in comparison to my abilities, but I'm guessing that yours are related to light or something in that area and there's almost none on this world besides the technology that this Undead Overlord has.
"What is that anyways? And how do you know about what Technology is when you're only a year old?" She pressed and I shut my trap, stopping to think for a moment to her rebuttal. It only took me a second before I was able to think of a way to stop her without endangering the both of us, and I jumped onto her back and looked into her eyes over her head.
I can go alone, you're too bright, and even covered in mud they'll be able to spot you based off of your glow alone. I pointedly patted her side as her scales' shine was starting to overpower the cover she'd placed over them. I'll find this person that came with you or I'll come back with nothing and you'll know then there there's no one here to save besides yourself. Now please cover the rest of yourself and please don't make me keep you hidden forcefully.
She seemed to scoff at that, "You. Force me to stay hidden? How could a..." I activated (Strike of The Warden) with no intend to harm and she was completely frozen in place mid-speech.
I looked at her booped her snout with a paw, See, I can do it, and it wouldn't be hard. All I ask if that you wait for me for an hour, and if I don't come back in that time you can throw yourself right back into the danger zone and I'll get you out again no matter what happens, okay? I'm ending my Skill now.
I stopped the effect that (Strike of The Warden) had on her and thankfully she didn't move any further, simply glaring at me in thought. "Fine. I'll wait here for an hour, but if you're not back here within that time, or I think that you're lying to me I'm going anyways."
Okay, that's fine with me. I admitted, even if she didn't believe me in the end at least I'd be able to protect her should she actually want to investigate the area herself. But if you get the both of us captured somehow I reserve the right to hit you with something.
She barked out a laugh at this and I looked at her confused, that was actually a serious threat from me, I was super dangerous to other living things with my natural Venom and Toxins and all...then again, she probably didn't know about that part yet..."That's fine with me. You're so fluffy I doubt that it would hurt anyways."
She then turned around and went back to the mud-ash pit and rolled around in it some more, covering the rest of herself in earth, stopping to look at me with a playful glint in her eye. "Why are you still here then? Your time started a few seconds ago."
