Li Ming gave him a moment to digest the information before he cleared his throat. "So, how about you?" He felt that Mo Fang wasn’t wrong with it being a good idea to get to know each other better. And so far, he didn’t know much about Mo Fang other than that he had inexplicably met two of his ex-boyfriends and heard stories about yet another one. Oh, and then there was the fact that he was modeling. He felt that he probably shouldn’t pry too much into his relationships so he went with the latter. "Since when have you been modeling?"

Mo Fang slightly lowered his eyelids, giving a pensive hum. "Well, it has been quite a few years. I think it might almost be a decade?"

Li Ming raised his brows, actually surprised this time. Mo Fang definitely had the looks to be a model and he didn’t doubt that he had had those his whole life. But to be modeling for a decade … "If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you?"

"Twenty-four." Mo Fang smiled, happy that his crush was showing interest in his personal matters. From what he had heard of the others, Li Ming was only two years older than him. He felt that it was a good age gap to have. He absolutely didn’t mind dating older men but someone who was close in age to him was even better. Especially if it was somebody who was as athletic as Li Ming.

Li Ming nodded at that information. That was about how old he would’ve guessed Mo Fang was. It left him a bit puzzled though. "Then how did you get into modeling so young? I would’ve thought that it was something you would do a lot later. Or, well, maybe not a lot. Just …" He shook his head, feeling that he was saying all the wrong things.

Mo Fang was intrigued though. Honestly, Li Ming probably could’ve said whatever he wanted and he still would’ve felt that it was very good. After all, this was the man he had chosen to be his next boyfriend. Of course, everything he did was great.

"Well … To be honest, there isn’t any interesting story behind it. One day, I was out alone after hanging out with some friends after school. I was on my way home when some uncle approached me and told me that I was really good-looking and that he was an agent from a modeling agency and would like to contract me."

Li Ming raised his brows. That … sounded a little sketchy. "And then …?"

Mo Fang raised a hand and held his cheek, thinking back to that day. "Well, he was saying that I should come back with him to take a look and take a few photos to see how I liked it.

"Actually, I didn’t really know what I should expect when modeling. I hadn’t really thought about what I wanted to do after finishing school but thinking of the people in those magazines, I also felt that it would be pretty good. They all look so beautiful and they probably earn a lot of money. I felt that it would be quite nice to be one of them."

Li Ming really didn’t know what to think. From what Mo Fang said … "So you went with that man?" Mo Fang seemed pretty nonchalant about what had happened so he really couldn’t imagine that anything bad had happened to him but he just wasn’t too sure about what to think. This was the kind of story that rang all his alarm bells. If he saw something like this happening at the train station, he’d immediately go and intervene.

Mo Fang shook his head. "Well, when I was thinking about whether I should do it or not, a handsome big brother came by and shooed the uncle off. He told me afterward that I shouldn’t just trust strangers and that the guy was likely some creep anyway."

Li Ming couldn’t help but give a wry smile. "Well, it certainly sounds like that." That was precisely what he had thought he would do just now. Stepping in and telling the person off was really the only possible way to act. Especially if the person asked the child to come with them instead of handing out their card or asking for a way to contact the child’s parents. Like this, it just seemed as if they wanted to lure the child away.

Mo Fang just shrugged his shoulders though. "Who knows? Anyway, that older brother was more handsome so I finally went with him."

Li Ming stared at him, his mouth hanging slightly open. What did he just hear? He had assumed that that person had stepped in to help but now he was the one who somehow took Mo Fang away? But wait. "When you say 'handsome older brother', then what kind of age group are we talking about here?" Maybe it had been somebody of his own age?

Mo Fang laughed and picked up his glass of wine, taking another sip. "Bro Li, do you really think I would hook up with anybody I meet? I’m not like that at all. He just brought me home since he was worried.

"But I really can’t blame you for thinking like that. At that time, my boyfriend was also there and when he saw us together, he got angry. He actually broke up with me because of that." He pursed his lips, looking everything but happy.

Li Ming had no idea how to deal with the ups and downs of this story. "Your boyfriend at that time …" Thinking back to the story that Mo Fang had told him in the restaurant the other day, he felt that he might have an inkling. "That was your first boyfriend, wasn’t it?" At the very least, he felt that the timeline matched up.

Mo Fang nodded. "It was. I still can’t believe that he did something like this. Nothing happened. He just blamed me out of nowhere. Come to think of it, that seems to be the story of my life." He continued to purse his lips, looking somewhat down.

Li Ming was startled but then realized that yes, this was precisely what happened with his last boyfriend as well, wasn’t it? Mo Fang had just done his job but his boyfriend actually thought there was more to it and cheated on him because of that so they broke up. It really was awfully familiar.

Thinking of that, he couldn’t help but feel pity. He reached over, taking Mo Fang’s hand to comfort him and even lowered his voice. "It’s not your fault. You didn’t do anything wrong. Don’t let it get you down. Anyway, I’m sure you’ll find somebody better in the future that treats you right."

Mo Fang looked at that hand, having a hard time to continue acting depressed. "Well, I’ll trust you on that one, Bro Li."
