Li Ming hurried up in the bathroom. Usually, he liked to take his time but experience told him that Mo Fang was a clingy drunk. That scene just now had probably happened not just because he wanted to have sex but also because he didn’t want to be left alone. Thus, he felt like it was much better to get back to him soon before he would get even more emotional.

The first time he had taken him home, that had really ended badly. He still remembered how Mo Fang had clung to him, refusing to let go no matter what he did and only lessening up a bit after he finally got desperate and opened his shirt. Well, or maybe that had been because at that moment, Mo Fang had started to get sick and vomited out his dinner a moment later.

Li Ming’s lips twitched when he thought of that. Looking back now, their relationship had started quite strangely. At the same time, he couldn’t help but be a little worried. It seemed that Mo Fang didn’t have too good of a handle on his alcohol consumption.

At their age, was there really a reason to be drunk to the point where he couldn’t walk straight or would get sick later on? He didn’t think so. And even though Mo Fang hadn’t been as bad today, he had still gotten quite drunk at least. That was something he felt they should also have a conversation about.

He sighed and then stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel and hurriedly drying off. There were so many things to talk about, so many things to find a solution for as a couple, that he didn’t even know where he was supposed to start the talk. He didn’t want to seem overbearing but there was just a lot. And he didn’t think that it was good to leave everything for later when the problems might have intensified.

He opened the door and then stopped right where he was, staring at Mo Fang who wasn’t holding the glass of water he had given him before he left but instead a glass of what was clearly red wine.

Li Ming turned to glance at the table where an empty glass and a bottle were standing, confirming what he had already thought: This was clearly the bottle that he had gotten earlier this week for a dish he had wanted to make for Mo Fang on the weekend.

Now, it seemed that his boyfriend had gone to the kitchen — maybe to get some food — but he had somehow ended up taking the bottle instead, continuing to drink. Now, he was really starting to consider if there was a bit more of a problem with Mo Fang and alcohol.

Not that Mo Fang had given him any reason to worry outside of an occasion or two. Usually, he wouldn’t touch any if they were at home. They weren’t even always drinking when they were eating dinner and would sometimes just go for water or tea.

Now, Li Ming raised a hand and raked it through his hair that was still a little damp, wondering what he was supposed to say to that.

Mo Fang had also pushed off his shoes and was now wriggling his toes at him. "Come on over. I got you a glass as well. You can pour yourself though. I wasn’t sure how much you would want."

Li Ming went over, sitting down next to him and reaching out to rub his thighs. "I thought you were done with drinking for today."

Mo Fang looked at him, giving a hum when Li Ming touched him, clearly satisfied with the contact. "Really? I thought we were just going home to continue things in a more … intimate manner. You know, I really like this. If you want to, you can have some of my wine." He smiled and then leaned a little closer, stretching out his hand to offer some to Li Ming.

Li Ming gulped but shook his head. "No. No need, I’ve had enough." He wasn’t necessarily a lightweight, especially in comparison to Mo Fang apparently, but he also didn’t want to get drunk.

Mo Fang pursed his lips but just pulled his hand back and shrugged his shoulders. "Well, if you don’t want to, you don’t have to. I can finish it on my own." Saying so, he continued to drink, not seeming to feel that there was anything wrong with it.

Li Ming watched him and finally couldn’t help but ask. "As a model … there’s a lot of social drinking, isn’t there?" Even though Mo Fang had told him a little about his job before, he wasn’t too sure of the details. But it had seemed that way from what he had been told so far.

Mo Fang looked at him while he continued to sip the wine. "Well, I guess so. Why do you ask? Are you considering it after all? Don’t tell me that crazy talk of Bian Huan would really get you to do that?

"Honestly, no matter what kind of contract he mentions to you, you don’t have to even consider it. Our photos turned out fine but he is just thinking of himself in this case. Being a model is hard work and I’m not sure it’s the kind you would enjoy."

Li Ming felt a little uncomfortable when the topic was brought back to Bian Huan, especially because there was a short moment where he was wondering if Mo Fang knew exactly what Bian Huan had talked to him about. But then again, Bian Huan had mentioned something to him a while ago and he also knew him for several years, so that probably wasn’t difficult to figure out for Mo Fang.

With that reminder of his own problems, Li Ming didn’t feel like continuing his line of questioning anymore. In any case, arguing with a drunk didn’t get you anywhere. He might as well save the words for later and talk with him when he was sober again.

Thinking for a moment, he finally motioned over to the bathroom door with his head. "I guess you want to take a shower. Do you want some help?" To be honest, he really wasn’t comfortable letting him go alone. Even though Mo Fang seemed somewhat fine, his reflexes wouldn’t be as good. On the slippery tiles, something could happen much too fast. He didn’t want to see any accidents.

Mo Fang naturally didn’t need to be reminded twice. For this suggestion, he actually put down the glass of wine after taking another gulp and then wrapped his arms around Li Ming’s shoulders before he slowly climbed onto his lap. "Well, how about carrying me there if you are so worried about me? That would probably be … a lot safer."

His voice sunk to a whisper on the last couple of words, making Li Ming wonder if he would still be safe with this. But in any case, worried as he was about his boyfriend, he still nodded and then picked him up, carrying him over to the bathroom.

At the end of the day, being harassed while he tried to help him wasn’t that bad of a deal as long as he could be sure that Mo Fang wouldn’t get himself into trouble.
