Azrael was currently sitting behind his desk as he steadily drew different pictures. Those pictures were illustrations for a light novel. He wanted to submit them to a contest where the winner would be chosen as the dedicated illustrator.

Not counting the time spent in Kuoh town, It has already been three months now since he lived in Japan. Since he couldn't leave for some time, he decided to do some work apart from training.

The book he wanted to illustrate was a light novel about magical girls called Magical Girl Milky Spiral Seven. A rather new but extremely popular light novel. From what he knew, the chance of this light novel getting an anime adaptation was rather high. So he wanted to try his luck.

While he was doing some sketch, he suddenly raised his head. He wasn't the only one doing so, as all those present did the same.

"Hum...Seems like she woke up."

Jibril, who was seated cross-legged on the sofa burped as she took another beer,

"I don't really understand why you brought this girl. I don't know what she is, but she definitely isn't a human. Most likely a half."

Azrael nodded, but didn't comment and went back to drawing. One of the advantages of being a hybrid. It was impossible to guess which race you were from.

All races had a distinct aura. As long as you feel it once, you'll be able to make the distinction each time you meet someone from that race. Hybrids were the exception to this rule. No one could guess their races as long as they didn't show some exact sign. It wasn't a question of power. It was just how things were.

The room went on in relative silence, each minding their own business until,

*Knock* *Knock*

"Come in, we were waiting for you."

When the girl entered, he waited a while little for her to take in the situation before asking her to come close to him. It wasn't that he wanted to play the snob. But, he was feeling great inspiration right now. He couldn't miss this chance.

Finally, once he finished, he let out a sigh of relief as he put back his pen and leaned against his chair. He stretched a little before finally looking at the girl with a wry smile.

"Hello, how are you? I am sorry for my previous action, I just wanted to finish it first."

Akeno waved her hand in a hurry,

"No, no problem. It's me who should thank you for saving me there. I don't know what could have happened to me if I fainted in the street with no one to take care of me."

She, of course, wouldn't say that she was so fascinated by his focused face that she wouldn't have minded looking at it for a little longer.

Azrael let out a kind smile at her antics, before continuing,

"My name is Azrael Gemini, this beautiful but rude woman before me is Jibril, the brat eating Ramen like it's the greatest food in the world is Vali and finally that big cat licking on a giant lollipop is called Evermillion. In this house, there are a few rules. Don't touch the beer, the sweets, the ramen, and the drawings without permission."

Each time he named one, they would nod at her. Akeno also greeted back each of them before finally facing Azrael once again,

"My name is Akeno Hi…", she stopped short. It was one thing to give her name to someone normal, but the people here were all some sort of supernatural being. What would happen if she told them her full name? She blushed a little and said, "I am sorry. Could you simply call me Akeno?"

She was very uncomfortable about it, but she didn't want to lie about her name either. So she decided to be honest,

"Do not worry. I understand. Everyone has their own secret. So, tell me. Do you have anything else to wear?"

Akeno looked down on her clothes blushing. She didn't find them shameful, but it was a little weird for her to wear them when she wasn't at work.

"I have some of them. I always put my bag in some safe before going."

"I see…"

She stood up and gave a deep bow,

"Thank you for helping. Now, I think I should *Growl* *Growl*"

Akeno becomes positively scarlet as she keeps her bow. She never felt so ashamed in her life. Azrael didn't seem to mind it. Though he did find cute how she tried to hide it

Deciding to at least not totally destroy her pride, he got up from his table and took her by the hand before beginning to walk toward the dining room.

"I am suddenly a little hungry. Why don't you eat a little bit with us? Also, it's a little late. Nothing stops you from going back tomorrow morning. Right?"

Akeno kept her head down , but she murmured a low but clearly audible,

"...Thank you."
