"Here's the schedule for our joint outing at the Seabreeze Resort," Mira announced, a slightly nervous smile playing on her lips as she handed Luna the itinerary. "I tried to keep it relatively relaxed this time. No surprises, I promise." She winked, a playful glint in her eye that did little to quell Luna's lingering suspicion from their last, overly structured plan.
"Seabreeze Resort? You managed to convince Film?"
"Thanks to Namtan; she works hard, you know."
Luna chuckled. She knew how strong-willed and business-minded Film was, perhaps because they were together and she was influenced by her business mindset.
She nodded. "You two did well choosing this resort. The location is ideal, right on the beach, and the resort itself is clearly brand new. The balanced mix of vintage and modern styles is particularly noteworthy."
Luna unfolded the paper. This schedule felt different—more realistic than the previous one.
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Welcome and Introductions (Ocean View Terrace – casual)
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Team Building Activity: Beach Olympics (casual attire, fun and games!)
12:00 PM - 1:30 PM: Lunch (Beachfront Pavilion – buffet style)
1:30 PM - 3:00 PM: Resort Facility Tour (optional, focusing on the new spa and fitness center)
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Joint Business Presentation: Q3 Results & Future Collaborations (Grand Ballroom)
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Networking Break (Sunset Terrace – cocktails and appetizers)
5:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Special Announcement & Dinner (Grand Ballroom – formal attire)
6:30 PM onwards: Relaxation & Informal Networking
"Beach Olympics?" Luna chuckled, a genuine smile finally breaking through her apprehension. "Sounds… less corporate than last time."
Mira grinned. "Exactly. I figured a little friendly competition would be a good icebreaker." She paused, then added, "Besides, I know how competitive you can be."
Thinking back to their college years, Luna couldn't help but laugh a little at how childish she had been. Looking at Mira's proudly smiling face, she still couldn't believe that the person she once considered her rival was now her girlfriend, acting silly and playful.
"Do you want me to praise you?" Luna asked, smiling lovingly at Mira.
Mira, mesmerized by Luna's smile and unaware that Luna saw her as playful, nodded unknowingly.
Luna chuckled. ' She's really like a puppy right now, and she's mine.' She patted Mira's head and suddenly kissed her lips. Mira's eyes widened, and blushed a little, as she hadn't seen it coming.
Mira's face turned even redder when the door suddenly opened. Thankfully, Luna, being possessive, didn't want anyone to see how adorable her girlfriend was, so she quickly hid Mira from view.
...
After everything settled, Mira smiled, feeling excited and nervous. She had already received a message that Minji and the others were already on their way to the resort ahead of time, since there was only one day before the joint outing, and it would be more convenient for them as idols if there weren't many people around. She had already notified Film about this, which made her feel relaxed, as everything was in place.
"Ready for some fun?" Mira asked, as she practically threw Luna's suitcase into the back of her shiny silver car.
The people behind were curious why the two were going together, but their curiosity was brief as they became more excited when they were about to go.
Luna, looking effortlessly good in her casual outfit—a flowy white sundress and comfortable sandals—laughed at the sight of people around looking curious about her relationship with Mira, but she didn't want to say anything about it.
For her, it wasn't mandatory to announce that they were dating; however, it didn't mean she would restrain herself from showing off her relationship with Mira.
' It would be even nicer if Mira would openly flirt with me. Their jaws would definitely drop if they saw Mira, who is always indifferent, blush quickly ' Luna smirked, thinking about how Mira would still blush because of her, even now.
"Beach Olympics, here I come! Just hope I don't accidentally break a world record in sandcastle demolition!" Luna shouted inside the car.
Mira chuckled, playfully shoving Luna's shoulder. "Oh, I'm sure you'll be a model of sportsmanship."
Luna feigned offense, playfully punching Mira's arm. "Hey! I'm all about friendly competition. Unless, of course, you're in my way."
Mira and Luna laughed as they sped off, leaving the chattering coworkers far behind.
The drive to Seabreeze Resort was a mix of scenic coastal views and excited chatter between Mira and Luna, the anticipation for the day ahead was palpable. The sun was high when they arrived, casting a warm glow on the bustling Ocean View Terrace, filled with employees and business partners.
Luna felt an immediate difference in the atmosphere, this was clearly more relaxed than her previous corporate retreats.
When they arrived, everything proceeded as scheduled. The welcome introductions concluded quickly. From the Ocean View Terrace, the group strolled down to the beach, the sound of waves and excited chatter replacing the polite murmur of introductions from earlier.
With Film around taking care of the guests and her crew at the resort, even Mira's business partners quickly had time to look around and relax before the Beach Olympics. Mira and Luna interacted with them and talked casually; these partners were also close to Mira since they had been partners in Mira's earlier career, so of course, they were excited and curious about Mira's plan. They could only make eye contact with each other secretly, not letting Luna notice anything strange.
"I'm looking forward to this retreat for a while now. It's been a while since I had time to breathe," Coline said, the jade distributor for Mira's company.
"With everything moving so fast around us, we have no other choice but to keep up, or else we will be left behind," Louis replied, winking at Mira with a suggestive look.
Mira casually looked away, as if she didn't see anything. "Indeed, look, it's already time for the Beach Olympics. You guys should prepare yourselves."
Luna nodded. "Yeah, just a heads-up, no hard feelings if you lose."
Coline, who felt like she's being provoked awaken her competitive spirit, she raised an eyebrow to Luna. " Yes, don't cry because I'll win."
Coline and Luna's gazes collided, and everyone around could already feel that there was going to be a fun thing to watch later.
