Everything went according to plan, and everyone had a blast all day. However, knowing there was more to come in the afternoon, everyone quickly rested and prepared for the 5 p.m. event.
Everyone dressed up, even the employees, as they had been secretly informed beforehand. Although they were curious why, they still followed instructions as the company will reimburse them.
Luna and Mira also changed. Mira wore a black, tight dress with silver embroidery, and Luna wore a white, backless dress with an aesthetically pleasing silver flower belt that emphasized her thin waist.
Luna looked at herself in the mirror and felt her dress was too much. "Don't you think my outfit is a little exaggerated?"
Mira raised an eyebrow and smirked. "What's exaggerated about your dress? You look even more beautiful in it."
Luna bit her lower lip, feeling shy under Mira's intense look. She averted her eyes. "If you say so..."
Mira looked Luna up and down. She had specifically chosen the dress, but seeing Luna's hesitant expression, she felt it was wrong to force her aesthetic on Luna. So, she hugged Luna from behind. "Do you feel uncomfortable in this dress? There are more options in the dressing room; you can change if you like."
Luna looked at Mira, then at the mirror, staring at herself and Mira. It wasn't that she disliked the dress, in fact, she really liked it. It was just that she was afraid to stand out too much. But recalling how Mira had looked at her earlier, she blushed. She lowered her head slightly. "I like the dress, I just don't want to stand out too much."
Mira chuckled. "Even if you don't want to stand out, there's no way you can escape the spotlight, we're the ones hosting this." She fixed Luna's hair and added, "Don't worry, it won't take long, and everyone else will be dressed up too, so, there's no need to be shy,"
Luna breathed a sigh of relief after hearing Mira's words. She looked a little more at Mira, who looked so sexy with her curvy body. Luna couldn't help but steal a few more glances.
Mira noticed Luna secretly looking at her but didn't say anything, she just smiled, and when their eyes met, she winked at Luna.
Luna blushed with embarrassment from being caught, but then remembering that Mira was her girlfriend and fiancée, she looked at Mira again and pretended to be angry. "Hmph..."
Mira chuckled, then checked the time. "You stay here for a while, I'll check on the preparations."
"You're going down already?" Luna was about to stand up to go with Mira, but Mira stopped her.
Mira held Luna's shoulders, stopping her from standing up. "Just sit here and finish your makeup, I won't be long."
Luna slowly nodded after some thought.
Mira lightly kissed Luna's head and went out. She first looked downstairs at the waiters and staff, who were almost finished setting everything—from tables and lights to the stage and flowers—and nodded in satisfaction. Then she went backstage and saw Minji and her group.
"Minji,"
"Mira, long time no see," Minji greeted, then introduced her friends: Hanni, Haerin, Danielle, and Hyein.
"Hello everyone, thank you for coming. Minji always talks about you guys."
"Minji says you're about to propose; we're so excited when she said it," Danielle said with a bright smile.
"Yeah, I'm a little nervous, though."
"Why? Do you think she would say no to you the second time you propose?" Minji asked with a smirk.
"Of course not."
"You'll be alright; just say what's in your heart," Hanni said with a smile.
Haerin nodded.
"Thank you. By the way, how's your stay here?" Mira inquired.
"We actually had a relaxing time here."
"Really?" Mira asked, looking at everyone.
Hyein smiled and said, "Yeah, we tried the facilities here; we played as soon as we came, then ate, then took a spa. It felt so good after a long trip."
Minji and the others chuckled, seeing how excited Hyein was to share everything.
Mira smiled and felt relieved. "That's great. Tomorrow we can all play together and have fun."
"Alright, you should get going; we're about to start in 15 minutes."
"What? You want me to leave now? Don't you miss me?" Mira asked, pretending to be hurt by Minji.
Minji rubbed her arms, feeling goosebumps, then took a step back. "Are you okay? Please... you act so real, it scares me."
"I'm just joking, you know?"
Hyein looked at Mira with sparkling eyes. "If Minji hadn't told me you're a businesswoman, I would have thought you were an actress."
Mira felt embarrassed, she smiled helplessly. "Thank you... I'll have to go now."
Mira looked again at the venue, which was ready when she left the backstage and saw some people already seated, then she went back to her and Luna's room.
Luna was scrolling through her phone when Mira came back. "How's everything?"
"It's all done, let's go down in a while."
"Should we go down now?"
"No, let's wait a few more minutes."
"Okay."
After a few minutes, Mira and Luna came down, they went directly to the stage to host the event.
When everyone at the venue saw the two of them together, they couldn't help but be amazed at how stunning they were and how well they complemented each other. Some couldn't help but get excited to see the two usually serious Presidents now smiling on stage. They were already beautiful, but seeing them smile made them even more beautiful. The rarity of their smiles and their approachable demeanor emboldened many to take pictures.
Luna looked at the people below and saw how enthusiastic they were; she finally relaxed. Then she and Mira introduced NJZ as the opening act. Mira took Luna's hand and guided her down the stage to the front seats and sat with her.
Mira leaned into Luna's ear and whispered, "Still nervous?"
"Not anymore."
"Great."
Mira saw that Luna's attention was on the performance, as was everyone else's, so she gave Film a signal by touching her ear.
