The spotlight dimmed, the final notes of the opening performance faded, and a hush fell over the audience. Mira stepped forward, a radiant smile illuminating her face. She thanked the opening act, her eyes briefly meeting Luna's.
Luna, completely unaware of Mira's plan, waited for her cue. However, the moment after Mira thanked NJZ, she saw Mira walk toward Film, who handed her a bouquet of red roses as background piano music played. Luna was confused for a moment but quickly hid it, wanting everything to go smoothly. Seeing Mira walk toward her with flowers and an affectionate smile, her heart beat faster. Under Mira's gaze, her face flushed. She tried to look around; the audience was smiling. She saw her friends and their parents. Luna was in a trance, feeling emotional as she finally realized something.
"Luna," Mira called softly, surprising everyone, as they hadn't expected this side of Mira.
Luna faced Mira, the sides of her eyes turning red and watery. She waited for Mira to continue.
Mira gently wiped Luna's tears with the back of her hand. "I haven't said anything yet, and you're already crying?"
Hearing Mira's teasing, Luna glared at her. "I'm not!"
Mira chuckled. "That's good."
She reached into the bouquet, pulling out a small, velvet box. As she opened it, revealing a stunning ring, the stage lights shifted, focusing solely on the two women. The soft glow illuminated the tears welling in Luna's eyes.
"Luna, I'm not perfect, nor a romantic type of person. I don't understand many things about relationships, but I know how important you are to me. Because of you, I learned to love, to face my flaws, and to be courageous. Without you, I feel so empty, but this time... I won't let you go," Mira said, her voice hoarse with emotion, thinking back to those times. She looked at Luna tenderly. "Will you marry me?"
A silence hung in the air, broken only by the soft sniffles of moved guests. Then, a radiant smile spread across Luna's tear-streaked face. "Idiot, I already told you my answer before, didn't I?" she breathed, her voice choked. "A thousand times, yes!"
The venue erupted in cheers and applause as Mira slipped the ring onto Luna's finger. Everyone witnessed something they thought they'd only see on screen.
After that night, everything proceeded as planned; the only difference was that Mira and Luna became inseparable. When everything ended, everyone returned to their work, but Mira and Luna became the topic of gossip; everyone was curious about their story.
Weeks later, they faced their families, a little nervous. But, surprisingly, both families were incredibly supportive and gave them their blessings.
" Are you happy?" Mira asked lovingly as what they're worried about didn't happen and Luna's family accept their relationship warmly
" Happy," Luna cried, overwhelmed. "It feels like a dream," she said.
Mira smiled, "A dream? Wanna know how to tell if you're dreaming?"
Luna laughed, wiping her tears. "It's just…everything's perfect. I'm so happy, but also…a little scared. What if…what if…"
Mira kissed her to shush her. "Shh…as long as I'm here, everything will be okay."
Luna looked up, her eyes still a little wet. "Really?"
"Really," Mira said, kissing her eyes.
Luna, finally calming down, felt warm with Mira's reassurance. She wrapped her arms around Mira's neck and whispered, "Okay, how do you tell if you're dreaming or not?"
Mira smiled, kissing her lips, then deepening the kiss until Luna was breathless. Then, she kissed her neck, softly, like she was caressing a treasure, then nipped her shoulder playfully.
Luna gasped, trembling at the touch
Mira pulled back, both of them catching their breath. "So…did you figure it out?" Mira asked, with obvious lust and restraint in her eyes
"Learn," Luna answered, feeling hot all over. She saw herself reflected in Mira's eyes, as if she were the only one in the world.
"I love you, Luna."
Luna bit her lower lip, her last bit of sanity breaking. She sucked on Mira's neck. "I love you too."
Mira felt satisfied, content with Luna by her side.
Mira kissed Luna's forehead. "Thank you for loving me."
Luna smiled and hugged Mira tightly, listening to her heartbeat. "I'll be in your care from now on."
"Yes."
Five months later their wedding came, everyone felt emotional especially Mira's mother. The wedding itself was a breathtaking affair as Mira wishes. Held under a canopy of stars on a beach, the ceremony was simple yet elegant. Luna, radiant in a flowing white gown, walked down the aisle to Mira, who wore a sharp, tailored suit. Their vows were heartfelt and personal, filled with laughter and tears with friends and family around.
As Mira and Luna shared their first dance as wives, under the twinkling lights and the warm glow of the moon, they knew this was just the beginning of their forever. The night ended with fireworks painting the sky, a perfect end to their perfect day. They drove off into the night, hand in hand, ready to start the new chapter of their lives together.
End..
