To be honest the best worlds for me offering both room to grow and selection of women are;
Trinity Seven (Varied Magic with lots of room for growth, I only watched anime so unsure how far the world is expanded beyond the school for possible women)
Konosuba (Easy Level System offering various types of growth, wide cast so plenty of women to choose from if you ignore most of them are weird)
Danmachi (Again Easy Level System and wide cast)
Fateverse (Various schools of Magic plus being a Master, Wide cast offers girls of every flavour)
Overlord (Gameworld so should have good potential for growth, later become Isekai so lets member get used to fighting then killing. Large cast)
Sword Art Online (Gameworld/ Isekai do plenty of skills and lets member get used to fighting then killing but takes away the realism of it. Large cast)
DxD (Obscure power levels but plenty of ways to gain strength, assuming he has control before entering the world could have his group make a faction or simply a family of devils plus servants. Large cast girls of every flavour)
In the end, though based on the voting I went for Irregular. Simply because it was the only one that could compete with Akame Ga Kill. I don't think in its basic setting Akame offers anything for a second world unless you have Tengu you basically only a normal person. So there is no real appeal for gaining strength. Editing the world to add magic or qi would just make the chaos worse, thinking that people in the empire had power beyond status just make the world far more sickening.
All that said I'm unsure about Irregular as well. Mainly since I have no idea how you would get stronger since even though I've read most of it I have no idea how the power balance stands and how you get stronger. The fact it's kind of like programming code mixed with maths doesn't really help anyone understand how you get stronger. Even then I still think it offers more chance of growth for the MC and the girls than Akame Ga Kill would. I can only say maybe edit the world at the start just to make the magic system more structured in a way the readers can understand it and allow for comparisons in strength/ability.
The best thing about Akame Ga Kill is wars. He can kill as much as he wants without repercussions. I plan to upgrade the world like HOTD, so he can gain XP and grow stronger in there.
@Glorious_Milfhunter Although that helps it basically means 90% of worlds listed could do the same either by default or adding the same perk. The only thing with Akame compared to the others is there are probably more people involved in the wars yet 90% of them are weak, so basically weaklings which wouldn't give much XP.
All the Isekai/gameworlds either have wars or dungeons you could farm for XP all of which would offer constant challenges by simply moving to the next area/level/dungeon. When you then add in that almost all those worlds have their own ways for pretty much everyone to gain strength it just makes Akame less and less appealing. To me, Akame is world suitable more your first world, provided you get perks to start off with. Heck, even Pokemon allows you better chances to gain strength than Akame, with depending on your point of view a lot more battles and challenges.
Those are the sorts of reasons I didn't choose Campione. It is/was a great series but aside from becoming a god killer, there was no real information on the magic. It simply introduced you to characters that could use it, you never really learn how or why. Though it would be fun if he went there as a god killer/slayer based on the fact he defeats his goddess nightly in the bedroom...
@kouk2002 Tbh, even I didn't expect it to take the lead. I leaned toward Fateverse, Tensei Shitara Slime, and Irregular. Also, Campione is more about Gods and authorities, which they explained pretty well in the LN. Magic wasn't directly related to the protagonist.
@Glorious_Milfhunter I did later have an interesting thought.
If he went S.A.O now, he could establish his fame along with his girls. Though it doesn't have to be this one it makes the next step easier to plan and implement.
Then the next world could be Valhalla Saga. Plenty of women, large world, allows him to basically gain godhood along with skills. His actions and the results of them from S.A.O would similar to the original mc of Valhalla Saga for how he creates his power/legend.
After that, for fun, he could go to Fateverse. Now this way would give you a rather interesting option. What he did in Valhalla Saga could basically be classed as establishing his legend. So he could start as a Heroic Spirit, his skills from Valhalla Saga allowing the creation of his noble phantasm/s. Now whether you made him a normal one or not is up to you but certainly grants a new perspective and makes that he can directly fight the others along with tying him to the girl of his/your choice.
On the off chance you haven't read Valhalla Sage its a completely translated Korean novel. A gamer died but went to the wrong heaven, so he ends up in Valhalla of Norse mythology. Here he had to fight the enemies of the realms based the Norse legend that warriors that died in the mortal world would then fight forever in Valhalla. This to those warriors was the dream, the perfect heaven.
Once there they would fight and depending on the tales told of their heroics in both the mortal world and Valhalla would gain strength by empowering those legends and tales of their feats of strength in battle. If I remember correctly it did later introduce the Greek or Roman mythologies along with Buddhist and maybe Cristian. Some parts I forgot but each mythology had their own way of gaining strength. Though the Norse one sounded best when I read it.
The original MC was basically a pro RPG gamer in the number one game in the world. His actions in-game and the battles he fought and the stories told of them became his power along with some aspects of a gamer ability that came about by empowering his legends.
@kouk2002 oh that's an intriguing plot. I have read Valhalla Saga and I absolutely loved it. Creating and manifesting saga would be fun. It will be useful in Fate too.
