<Calamity POV>

'.... Give her a bandit-.'

'No slavery!' Tokito glares at me.

" -'s Chaos....Let me finish before going mental.” I berate Tokito.

His glare turns to a questioning stare, 'But I thought people couldn't create chaos.'

' That's incorrect' I explain, 'very minute amounts of chaos accumulates when an individuals soul gains experience, fluctuates when leveling up, or their desires peek for a certain amount of time. And low and behold your chaos space is conveniently full of high leveled people who have many desires. This isn't the best source of energy though since wish elemental prefer quality untainted by fear. But it's a marginally better alternative than that disgusting vomit bag. Seriously Tokito! Even if Nimstra requested any type of energy... handing that over would be an insult!

'Hey, it wasn't that bad of a deal',Tokito rebukes, but soon calms down thinking back on his decisions. Although they had a rough first meeting its not like these people had actually hurt him. If anything he was the one who intruded on them, threatened then, then asked for advice without thinking about what he did. Putting himself in their shoes, if he was given vomit as payment for information he'd immediately whack that idiot.

Disgusted with himself, Tokito thanks Calamity for its suggestion, then inquires what he'd need to do, 'Would this endeavor entail killing?'

'No, but you'll need someone to wish for something equal to their accumulated chaos. And in their current state, collecting the bandits chaos might leave side effects of amnesia. '

'Oh,' Tokito nods, 'lets go with your idea then.'

I stare up at him in astonishment, 'Hmm, I guess you're not the soft kid you showed yourself to be. Since you acted troubled about that zombie cub, I thought this might be another line you wouldn't cross... '

Tokito becomes silent. From beneath his neck I could see his face scrunch up, as if he was debating.

Finally finding the right words, he says, 'In Makamae's case, its mother was completely innocent when looking for food. I was easy prey and  a dumb ass for passing it by when it was hunting. She may have wanted to kill me, but it wasn't out of malice. But.... these people aren't innocent. They're thieves and murders who were intent on stealing from people who worked hard for their earnings.' His voice lowers. Scowling, he says,  'I don't approve of slavery, but if Belace didn't ask for my opinion, I wouldn't have interfered with. And the only reason I took the injured in my space is because were redeemable. Heck, it might be a good thing if they forget who they are. Makes the redeeming process easier...." He sighs, "Now how can I contact the bandits? I don't think going into my chaos space in front of these three would be a good idea.'

' You really should check you notifications more often. Bring up the system'

Tokito does and a new menu button pop up.

[Wishing Console online]

"eh? Calamity... how long has this been here?!"~Tokito

'not long. About the time you met Circe. Your worlds internet gave him the idea since it was so readily accessible. And so he he implanted it in the wish pricing system starting with you. So its only been a day or so... Hey, don't give me that look! I said I'm not going baby step you anymore, so check your own stuff regularly. Now please get to work before you appear more awkward from just sitting here doing nothing!'~ Calamity

Worst parent of the year! Tokito yells internally.

Pressing on the new button the screen changes to gold.

[Who would you like to contact]

'A desperate bandit in my chaos space'

Inside the Chaos space....

Ding!

[Vengeful spirit sighted! The spirit used Stun on you!]

Kelvin watches the glowing yellow orbs grow closer and closer over the lake. Ripples froth and splash as a rotting hand rips towards him.

[Negated Stun due to pain tolerance dropping! ]

Terrified, Kelvin hurriedly pulls himself from the ghoulish hand with his uninjured arm causing his tender flesh to tear over sharp bones and jagged branches.

[Your wounds have reopened! Possibility of fainting rose by 30%!]

Kelvins strength rapidly depletes with each drop of blood trailing a path of red on the deadened earth. Dizzy from blood loss he stops briefly to catch his breath.

However, in the still frothing swamp, the vengeful spirit anticipating for the moment when its prey would be at its weakest, leaps!

Too late to react to the sounds of splurging water, Kelvin feels his unharmed leg grasped, cutting off any chance to kick off his pursuer. He turns see the [vengeful spirit] was a {Ghoulish Swamp Hag} clawing his leg!

Firmly gripping the wriggling game, the hag drags Kelvin to her watery abode hoping to enjoy a fresh lively meal.

[Blood loss increased by 10%!]

Too weak to fight back, Kelvin curses his fate, "Damn it Boss! Why'd you have to accept that fucking nobles request?!" His screams of agony echo into the gloomed forest. Peering past the hag, the thief realizes the second he slips under the murky surface he'll be either eaten alive or lose of consciousness and drown!

But how could he escape this terrible fate? Maybe it was the looming death that held his leg or too much loss of blood but his mind goes into overdrive as he remembers his companions face cheering him to keep living.

[Your will to live surges! Gained Fear Resistance! Your now more clear headed!]

The hags feet closes on her watery grave, but eager to stay alive, Kelvin musters the last of his strength rummages the bone riddled ground grabs a sharp rib and stabs the decaying appendage holding his leg. But to no avail. The hag being dead was immune to painful stimuli and  merely walks oblivious to the protruding bone in its arm.

Seeing his capturer continuing to breach the swamps edge, Kelvin pants out curses and pleads, "Digins! Somebody! Anybody! Get me outta here! I swear! I'll give my savior everything I own-" Suddenly a gold system screen appears in front of him.

[Your wish has been heard! A wish elemental will contact you shortly.]

[Connecting...…]

[Connecting......]

The screen reveals a rainbow haired Tigen skull caught up in an argument with someone out out the screens frame.

('-lamity, this might might not be good idea after all- huh? What do mean it's connecte-?)

The skull swiftly turn facing Kelvin with its sharp twisted fangs.

(Oh, Uuumm, can you hear me?)

Kelvin blinks frantically in answer.

(Ah hi?... Looks like you’ve had  a rough day, heh. So, you want to be rescued. I can do that, but I need to confirm that you’re really willing to pay the price. Give me your all chaos energy and I'll whisk you outta there lickety split. Oh, and If you agree, please scream bloody murder.)

Flustered, Kelvin hesitates but his lungs soon shrill as water splashes his ankles.

[Wish confirmed]

Waiting for something to happen Kelvin feels his neck hit the water and closes his eyes in fear of the inevitable ....

[Payment accepted]

[Wish granted]

....

....

Huh? My leg feels lighter.... Did the hag let me go?

With the bony weighted hand gone, Kelvin catches his breath. He opens his eyes to see the hag and swamp nowhere in sight. All that around him was a vast golden beach and an endless glowing blue sea.

He gawks in awe, stammers, “Wha- why- where am I-” but he couldn’t finish. His near death experience and misplacement of his whereabouts finally causes the poor bandit to gradually lose his consciousness from pure exhaustion. As the darkness slowly overcomes him the golden screen reappears.

[Wish fulfilled]

<3rd pov>

The screen drops a rainbow ball of which Tokito immediately hands to Nimstra who consumes it then steps aside.

Wish fulfilled Tokito turns to the last wisher.

".ssendam ot nevird neeb sah hcihw taht em gnirb ot uoy hsiw, nijaM itaW asmeK, I" Calamity translates.

Tokito ask," Where? How?" then nearly leaps out of his seat when Kesma fingers snap. A scroll drops onto Tokito's lap unrolling: Horiz's Auction House. "......" Tokitos ability in discerning cryptic silent messages wasn't a strong suite of his. He quickly seeks Calamity for interpretation.

The god scans the invitation, '... look likes whatever Kesma wants will be sold at this auction in two days...Tsk....and he's making his task slightly difficult by leaving it to your discretion on procuring what he wants....How troublesome.' Seconds pass and the scroll fades into a circle into his palm.

concur. Tokito deliberates. Attending an open auction is absurdly dangerous given his temperamental claustrophobia. But this also presented an opportunity to see how what this world had to offer in terms of rare items. Feeling there would be more advantages that disadvantages, Tokito acknowledges Kesmas' wish.

Content, the Majin sits back to watch the rest of the show.

Slightly unnerved by the whole fiasco, Tokito quickly reviews what's left of his missions.

[collapse]

Seeing the beggar quest doesn't require urgent completion its time to learn chaos control.

Tokito turns back to Nimstra and Staingek and ask for his payment.

"explain chaos?"~ Tokito

"Humph! So impatient." Staingek says irritated. She rushes out of her seat and grabs Tokito's hands. "For us chaos is to both create and destroy the natural order of the world and usually the price for disturbing it cost our very live. So do try and pay attention." She pauses to form a rock in one hand and a butterfly in the other. "When creating entirely new objects or creatures you must first imagine how it must look and feel. Then apply rules for its existence to bring it from insubstantial to the physical immediately afterwards, otherwise whatever your making will revert back into energy. And--- You know what! I'm too annoyed to explain everything, here!"

[Learned Chaos Formulae!]

[Learned Deconstruction!]

[Learned Quick Creation!]

Ding!

[Unlocked Chaos points! Your current CP ∞]

Before Tokito could understand what happened, Staingek brutally crushes the rock and butterfly, then saunters to her seat seemingly more irritated than before.

Not expecting her odd behavior Tokito doesn't realize Nimstra is in front of him until he finds a card been placed into his open palm. Looking down at it, he reads [All Floor access Athenaeum card]. Tokito stares at Nimstra confused.

" You weren't explicit with how you wanted your advice. But look. This card allows you to view our books anytime your here. Next time be precise with your wish." Then she floats back to her seat.

...........

A bit upset, Tokito and his children retrace their step back to Hatters hideout to think of a plan for the auction coming up in two days.

Well that totally useless. I still don't really know how to use my chaos properly and now I have to learn how to use a bunch more new skills. Fan-freaking-tastic

Sitting in a room that's been properly renovated for daily living, Tokito comfortably checks out his new skill [Quick Creation]

{Input creation}

'...Nope. Fuck this button! I'm not touching this death trap.'

He quickly shuts it down before even sparing a moment in what seemed to be a character creation screen. Instead he opens the systems menu looking fixedly at [Wish Console].

Too many weird things are happening and I don't have time to properly equip myself. I need help. But its obvious this wannabe step parent isn't going to step up to the plate and answer my questions. The few guys who know about gaming systems though are back home though- Unless!

'Hey Calamity can this contact anyone I want it to?'

'As long as the person your trying to contact fulfils certain condition, yes, it can. Why?'~ Calamity

'I need to make a couple calls.'

Back at earth....

Tokito's small group of friends have visited the police several times only for the door to be shut in their face at every singly turn.

Unable to find anything out the art group speeds of to their smoothie shop hangout.

"Man. There's still no news." Alberta rollerblades down the street, making sure to watch out for cars coming in her direction.

"Of course no news! Wha' is there to fin' with no evidence or clues to go off of..." Evgeni russian bleeds a tiny bit as he mumbles sadly to himself..

"Eish! Peeps, stop the boohooing. Tokito would think we all babes crying like this." Fujo hollers running after her friends. She tries to antagonize them into anger to stop them falling into depression, but fails miserably .

Seeing her slow down, Bob pushes his scooter right next to her and she hop on quickly catching up to the first two, "Guys, I know it hurts, but you have to Bolieve he's alright. As long we Bolieve, I bet he'll be okay. I just wish we knew where he was-"

Ring! Ring!

Without warning, Bobs phone begins to vibrate.

Unable to get it himself, Fujo answers for him.

"Ize got it. Zello?"

"aloha hala hoʻopaʻapaʻa. How have you guys been?"

Everyone's rides ceases instantly upon recognizing that voice.
