General Description:

Slime-type traits are those granted to all kinds of semiliquid creatures...or so it first seems. These traits can sometimes be granted to non-liquid beasts as well, in the form of the [Mucus Body] trait. Other than that, there are also the [Slime Body] trait, the [Gel Body], and lastly, the [Ooze Body]. Their respective strengths and monsters that have them are described below.

Trait: Mucus Body

Abilities:

  • Damage inflicted onto self by Heat-type attribute skills: *1.5
  • Damage inflicted onto self by Salt-attribute attacks: *1.2
  • Positive correction to Fluid-type attribute skills: [Small]
  • Fluid-type attribute attacks are granted the secondary effect of "being able to inflict the Slippery ailment to a target".
  • Positive correction for being able to inflict the "Slippery" ailment onto a target: [Medium]

Description:

The [Mucus Body] trait is given to creatures such as snails and frogs, creatures that secrete mucus from their bodies. They are weaker against Heat-type attacks due to them needing this mucus to keep their body in good shape, and the Salt attribute is also on the "bully the mucky guys"-wagon. Snail-type monsters are treated even worse, as their other racial trait further enhances the dangers of the Salt attribute for them.

Other than that, this trait makes Fluid-type attributes stronger and also grants them the special effect of being able to inflict the "Slippery" ailment. "Slippery" makes it easier for the victim to slip and fall to the ground, so it is quite an annoying ailment to be exposed to.

Trait: Slime Body

Abilities:

  • Increases the value of the HP and SP stats: *1.5
  • Damage inflicted onto self by physical-type attacks: *0.5
  • Damage inflicted onto self by magic-type attacks: *3.0
  • Damage inflicted onto self by Heat-type attribute attacks: *1.5
  • Damage inflicted onto self by Fluid-type attribute attacks: *0.8
  • Damage inflicted onto self by Salt attribute attacks: *1.5
  • Positive correction to Fluid-type attribute skills: [Medium]
  • Positive correction for being able to inflict the "Slippery" ailment onto a target: [Small]
  • Positive correction to transformation-type effects: [Small]
  • Positive correction to self-recovery effects: [Medium]
  • Positive correction against physical-type status ailments: [Small]

Description:

[Slime Body] is the trait of the original slime monster. It gives them more HP and SP to work on, resistance against physical attacks, and better defense against Fluid-type attacks, alongside some other pros and cons from the [Mucus Body] trait.

In exchange for all these effects, [Slime Body] unfortunately also comes with a devastating weakness towards magic, one so big that it is common sense to blast any slime creature from afar with magic rather than try and punch it normally.

Other than that, [Slime Body] also grants a positive correction to transformation-type effects, self-recovery effects, and resistance against physical ailments.

Trait: Gel Body

Abilities:

  • Damage inflicted onto self by physical-type attacks: *0.6
  • Damage inflicted onto self by magic-type attacks: *2.5
  • Damage inflicted onto self by Heat-type attribute attacks: *1.2
  • Damage inflicted onto self by Fluid-type attribute attacks: *0.8
  • Damage inflicted onto self by Salt attribute attacks: *1.2
  • Positive correction to Fluid-type attribute skills: [Small]
  • Positive correction to transformation-type effects: [Medium]
  • Positive correction to self-recovery effects: [Small]
  • Positive correction against physical-type status ailments: [Medium]

Description:

[Gel Body] is a trait granted to "Gels", a sub-species of slimes that are a little more solid than their semi-liquid siblings. The name comes from how similar they are to jelly.

[Gel Body]'s weaknesses and resistances are not as dramatic as that of the [Slime Body], and some of the other stats are also different compared to the latter, and it also lacks access to any Slippery-related effects.

Trait: Ooze Body

Abilities:

  • Increases the value of the HP and SP stats: *1.4
  • Damage inflicted onto self by physical-type attacks: *0.4
  • Damage inflicted onto self by magic-type attacks: *2.5
  • Damage inflicted onto self by Salt attribute attacks: *1.2
  • Positive correction to transformation-type effects: [High]
  • Positive correction to Fear-type ailment effects: [Medium]
  • Positive correction to self-recovery effects: [High]
  • Positive correction against physical-type status ailments: [Small]

Description:

Last on the list is the [Ooze Body] trait, a thing of unspeakable terror given only to the most horrifying slime-type creatures out there. Generally Outer Ones.

The trait's damage-altering and status-altering effects lean more in the Ooze's favor compared to [Slime Body], showing that these creatures are the "higher evolution" of the Slimes. They are also granted an enhancement to Fear-inducing effects, which is not surprising considering the appearance and behavior of Ooze-type monsters.

Blaze's comment: Gels are the best. No doubt about it.

Noire's comment: No more comments are needed here. They are the BEST.
