<< You have acquired the Skills ‘Archery’ and ‘Swordsmanship’ >>

<< The levels of ‘No-Attribute Magic’, ’Mana Control’ and ‘Materialization’ have increased >>

I was in the training grounds training together with Michael and Leo. Since today I’m going to hunt with Iris and the other elves, I decided training on magic, archery and swordsmanship.

In my archery lesson I was able to hit the target but… I only hit the sidelines and that was enough. In my swordsmanship lesson I was beaten to a pulp, but I was able to land one hit on Michael, afterwards he taught me sword attacks. Like ‘Iron Cut’ and ‘Slash’, apparently these increase your attack power. They’re kind of like skills from a game that you can activate.

“I can’t feel anything anymore.”, I said, as I lay flat down on the ground.

Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that I’m almost about to die. Michael told me that I should continue practicing and so he beat me beyond a pulp.

“Hmm. I guess your hit before might have been enough.”, Michael muttered as he looked at my Ghost like body slowly disappearing. “Come on, you have to continue practicing. Didn’t you say that during our spartan training session.”, Leo smirked as he looked at me with pitiful eyes.

“Easy for you to say, and also magic is one thing but physical training is another.”, I said but could barely speak because I was face flat on the ground.

‘The ground feels kind of nice.’, I thought. I tried standing up, my legs were trembling and I fell back to the hard ground.

“Anyways, Iris will be arriving soon. So, I think I should practice as much as I can.”, I would probably give up before she even arrives.

After a little while Iris arrived with another Elf together with her, he had two long bows on his back.

“Hello, Shiro, Leo and Michael. Shiro are you ready for your fist day… hunting?”, Iris asked before she noticed me on the ground again.

“Yeah. I am one hundred percent okay, don’t worry about me being on the ground. It feels kind of nice anyway.”, I said with a muffled voice since I’m face flat on the ground again.

“Okay, now let me introduce you. This is Ralph, the hunting team leader. He said he’d allow you to join us.”, Iris shortly explained.

“Greetings, my name is Ralph I am most pleased to make your acquaintance.”, Ralph said in a formal way.

“I am very pleased as well.”, I tried saying in a formal way. The elf Ralph took out one of his bows and gave it to me. “Here, take it. This bow will belong to you.”

I took the bow and inspected it, it was completely made from wood, it looked as if a professional made it. The string was thin enough to cut somebody’s finger.

“Thank you very much Ralph.” I said as I looked at my previous practice bow. The practice bow was cruder then the one Ralph gave me.

“No problem. We will be getting the arrows at the hunting team.”, Ralph said

Soon we arrived at the hunting team they were all elves, there were some women and men, but most of it was made of men. They had long bows and wooden swords equipped.

“Are they really going to fight with wooden swords?”, I whispered to Ralph.

“I guess you don’t know, but the thing is these elves have the ‘Swordsmanship’ skill. The skill allows you to use sword skills. “Ralph then explained to me what ‘Sword Skills’ are.

Once you have the ‘Swordsmanship’ skill, not just does your fighting capability increase, you can also use ‘Sword Skills’. ‘Sword Skills’ don’t appear in your status, but they can be used if you remember the way they are executed. It’s hard but easy at the same time. You can’t use sword skills as many time you want, it depends on your ‘Intelligence’ stat. The same thing goes for spells, not just do you need a lot of mana to cast the same spell you also need the right amount of intelligence to cast it. If you want to cast a hard spell you need a lot of intelligence or else the spell might not work.

You could imagine sword skills as buttons that you press and then execute something. It is hard to explain how I grasped it.

Sword Skills are stronger than just a swing of your sword, with the right sword skill you can even break a bolder in two with just a twig, however it’s also important that you increase your ‘Strength’ stat.

“That’s why you can even defeat your opponent with just a twig.”, Ralph ended his explanation.

‘This is scary, for people to be able to have that much force is scary!!!’, I had a terrible thought.

“Anyway, let’s move on, shall we?”, Ralph said.

“Y-yeah” I said as I remembered that these all elves could easily beat me.

I moved together with Iris into the crowd of elves, Ralph moved to the front of elves and declared. “Alright everyone. We’ll be going hunting individually, I ask of you to find a spirit and use him to find the way back once you’re done.”

“Wouldn’t it be better to go in groups?”, I asked Iris and she responded. “No, we can’t because of the fog. The elves once chose to go in groups but because of the dense fog they got easily lost and split themselves. So, the hunting leader chose that it would be better to go individually.”

“Hmm… Iris didn’t you say that you wanted to leave the village and go into the outside world isn’t this the same?”, Iris said that her dream was to go into the outside world, but isn’t going outside the village kind of it? “This… this is how far I’ll go. I can’t leave the forest we are not allowed to so I…”

Iris wanted to go into the outside world, and this is how far she’ll be able to go without breaking the rules.

“…” Iris was in silence and so was I.

We soon found some spirits and went hunting, even though I’m a spirit myself I don’t have any magic attributes so I can’t use attribute magic that allows somebody to use me.

I went alone into a random path and went hunting, I found a goblin on the way. We meet again old pal.

The goblin looked at me, at first, he didn’t notice me because of my transparent white skin. Suddenly he noticed my existence and then started screeching and came up running at me with a wooden club.

“GAAARB!” The goblin screeched.

The goblin thrashed his club at me from above, and instead the club hit the ground. I came from the left and hit him with my wooden sword. I received it from Ralph as well.

“‘Slash’”, I conjured the name of the sword skill and the wooden sword started to glow faintly and then it cut right through the goblins stomach.

Guts and blood spilled out of the goblin, the ground sullied with blood.

I couldn’t exactly look at it because I’m not used to seeing blood, so I turned around and continued. Goblins aren’t good enough to eat, their meat tastes bitter. However, you can use their ears and fangs to make magical items and potions, Iris told me.

I continued hunting I guess you could say, I found a couple boars and wolfs. I hunted them down and then took them with me. I used ‘Mana Bullet’ against one of them and it didn’t do much damage, after all what would you expect, it’s just a ball of mana it won’t do much unless it has an attribute applied to it like ‘Fire Ball’.

I have no idea how much time has passed, there was just way too much fog for me to see whether the sun had set or not.

I continued while trying to guess how much time has passed, but by the time I guessed I was already too late.

Skill Explanation: Archery

The ‘Archery’ skill increases your ability on the bow, for example: you’ll be able to shoot many arrows simultaneously and more swiftly. You’ll also be able to use ‘Bow Skills’ like ‘Screw Shot Arrow’ and many other.
