Okay, I've calmed down a bit now. Let's go over this one thing at a time. First, the fact that another illusory document appeared. It seems these things can respond to thought and intent, so considering my train of thought earlier I think I can reasonably assume that this document has my own information. That means I can avoid having to tell the first person I meet that I have no idea what my own name is so that's nice. Shoal Laretheniel... I don't mind that at all.

Next, turns out I'm a half elf. I hadn't noticed it earlier when I was examining myself, but after checking my ears, which aren't long but are pointy... it seems pretty clear.

Now the hard part. 892? How rude. I mean, half elves don't actually live that long. A half elf should expect to see around 250 years at max, so nearly 900 is way outside the realm of possibility. The next field I actually just don't understand. What the heck is a 'level'? I have 483 of them? Level, level... like a tool used in carpentry? Different floors of a building? I'll have to think about that more later, I guess.

Apperantly I am classified as a wizard, among other things. What those other things are remains a mystery, but this means I should be able to use magic, right? I'll admit I'm a bit pleased to see it. Perhaps there's such a thing as a spell to restore memories? I probably have a good means of defending myself as well... my earlier conjecture about being drugged seems less and less likely. That's a good thing though, I think.

A lot of information is missing. I can't say I know what would appear under parameters, but it would have been really nice to learn about my own skills this way. It says I can try again later, but how much later? Well, we've made it to the end. It looks like my appearance has been changed and that I should be able to percieve mana. Alter self... I wonder why? Will I be an ancient crone if that's disabled?

[Alter Self]
Do you wish to end the effect?
[Yes]      [No]

NO! No No No! I-I mean, I don't know why it's there and I don't think I can put it back on if it's important, so it's better not to touch it for now! It's fine, really!

Anyways, mana perception. Sounds useful, but how does it work? Do I see it with my eyes or feel it when it touches me? I can just cast a spell and see how it feels, right? I stop walking and close my eyes. To gather the mana and shape it, I think I remember..., but I see something even though my eyes are closed? There's a ring of light about waist high which I am currently the center of and at one point it widens into a small sphere. Opening my eyes again, I can still just faintly make it out. Seems that this is the effect of mana perception and it works by looking like light. I hope every answer comes this quickly!

Next up, what is this ring? Could it be... the bubble points the way towards the [Hero]? Time to change course! I'm starting to feel a little excited! Civilization here I come!

The sun has gone down with no sign of civilization. I've managed to keep a good pace, I think, since for some reason I haven't gotten worn out at all. Perhaps I often go on longer trips like this? I'd think I should at least be thirsty, but I'm really glad I don't have that problem yet. I haven't grown hungry or sleepy either, to be honest... I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Since that's how it is though, I'm thinking I'll just keep walking through the night. The sky is clear and visibility is still pretty good. Thanks, elven parent, for letting me see at night.

As I walk, the terrain gradually changes to that of a forest. I consider changing course, but with no knowledge of the landscape I feel I shouldn't stray from the direction [Objective Tracking] is taking me. Since every path is equally unknown, I might as well just go the short way, right?

Here and there, I catch a glimpse of something moving in the distance that some part of me thinks might be dangerous creatures, but they keep quite a distance. They're definitely too small to be humanoids... well, they are still about the same height as me I think. Still, those shadows are really far out and with all the trees I can't identify them at all beyond that. Perhaps my imagination is playing tricks on me? I'd really rather not end up having to face off against wolves or something, so please just be really big bunnies.

Just as the sun was creeping back over the horizon, I finally lay my eyes upon a village.
