Jiraiya looked at the Orochimaru's forces who he defeated through ambushing them and thought: 'Even though it was a formidable force, it was too easy...a diversion force? So the main force should be somewhere else...but for now there are no signs of it...something is wrong! I should hurry back...'
He left as quickly as he came, befitting of his title of a legendary shinobi.
'Is this a genjutsu?...no, I made sure to not look into Sasuke's eyes...' - Orochimaru first thought was to make sure that he wasn't in a genjutsu.
He then looked at Kabuto, but he didn't seem to be under a genjutsu too, so his next thoughts were that it's either faked or it has to be real and he was deducing which one of those two was more likely.
"What's wrong? Do we finally start the exchange, or do you get off of seeing someone vomit? Damn...you're really a high-level pervert..." - Eiji started to pick his nose.
Of course, such remarks were effective enough to get Orochimaru out of his thoughts.
"HAHAHAHA!!! I see you are full of spirit...but don't you think are a bit too conceited? What stops me from just taking Sasuke by force and then just kill you?" - Orochimaru licked his lips, while Kabuto his glasses touched his with one hand, while the other moved towards a kunai.
"Well...that would be a bit problematic, to be honest...but I'm the type of person who would rather destroy everything I have myself than to give it to my enemies..." - he said that in a bored tone while he finished picking his nose.
But then in a sudden movement, his sword was fully drawn and touched Sasuke's neck.
"YOU!!" - Orochimaru stopped all his movements and even Sasuke had a look of surprise and glared angrily at Eiji, but he didn't have the energy to do anything more.
"...why don't we all calm down? If you kill him now, not only will you not get the Edo Tensei, but since Sasuke is the strongest out of you and in the scenario that you give him an antidote, he would be your safest best for survival." - Kabuto calmed down faster than Orochimaru.
"I am calm...just give me the Edo Tensei and I'll toss Sasuke over to you - simple, right?" - Eiji
'Toss?...more importantly...' - Orochimaru was already calm again and had a smile on his face.
"Alright...Kabuto!" - he ordered Kabuto while thinking: 'It doesn't matter if you have it or not...when I get Sasuke, I will kill you either way...'
Kabuto sighed and took out a scroll before throwing it to Eiji.
Eiji watched it with his other hand and looked at it with an anticipating gaze.
"Now, since you have it hand Sasuke over to me!" - Orochimaru licked his lips.
"Wait...I have to make sure it's authentic, right?" - Eiji ignored the intense atmosphere and opened the scroll with one hand.
"...fine, but I advise that it won't take you too long..." - now, Orochimaru couldn't contain his bloodlust anymore.
"Hmm...looks like its rea-"
"SASUKE!!!!" - Naruto jumped out from his hiding spot, with a flustered Sakura who seemingly tried to hold him back and a whole Anbu squad following those two.
When Eiji saw that, his eyes widened and he almost vomited blood out of anger: "Son of a..."
"YOU!!! GET AWAY FROM SASUKE, NOW!!!" - Naruto was the first to arrive in front of Eiji.
He was on the same end of the bridge site as Eiji's group, while Orochimaru and Kabuto were still on the bridge.
'...are you for real? Why are Naruto and Sakura here? THEY ARE ABOUT TO RUIN EVERYTHING!!!' - Eiji screamed internally while on the surface his grin grew brighter.
"Looks like we have some visitors..." - Orochimaru said amused.
'Naruto, huh? Looks like Konoha managed to find out about it...but it doesn't seem like it was through the Shiki Ryuu...' - Kabuto looked towards the angry Naruto, who looked like he wanted to rip Eiji apart.
'...sigh...I'm sorry Lord Jiraiya...' - Yamato couldn't help but cry internally.
Ukon was looking at Eiji, expecting him to give one of his usual remarks, but Eiji was too perplexed for that and continued to just stare dumbly at Naruto with his smile gradually turning into just an open mouth.

Honestly at this point he should expect Naruto or some other main cast to show up and ruin stuff. It seems like the last few years Eiji has been playing on easy mode and it switched back to hard.

Why not? For all he cares Madara can even become the next hokage. Madara was a pain to dealt with, but he is another one who was manipulated by Zetsu. And I don't think he will like such knowledge.

He was never smart tho...he just abused his knowledge. With a situation that isn't part of canon and he has no idea of, getting surprised by Naruto suddenly showing up is understandable.

I actually did expect that Eiji planned for Naruto to show up. On one hand he probably choose this bridge in the land of iron to kick-start the fate of Sasuke defeating a powerful foe (originally Danzo) on it but then the bridge fighting Fate against Orochimaru was accidently activated; on the other hand however, Eiji might have anticipated that and used the chance to create more chaos to make his iddenn plan work better. That was my thought process. Since option was chosen it would be interesting to see how Eiji still predicts what is going to happen next. I assume, Pedomaru's secret plan involves him having kidnapped Eiji's parents or using this "Go-to-hell"-Jutsu of the sound three. In case of the later, it would be interesting to observe the interactions between Ukon and the rest. Eiji with his Dragon Faith might even save them and get more of Orochimaru's people on his side(I know, that ones a bit hard to do...).
I noticed that Eiji and Zetsu are doing similiar roles to a certain degree. Or Eiji is trying to do the same as Zetsu does. They both want to influence the happenings in the ninja world to favor their own agenda. Eiji's agenda however is simply not to die or for his loved ones not to die. At the end of shippuden most of the cast went through a form of character growth: Shikamaru does a hard job, Shoji accepts himself being fat... Would be an interesting development to observe if Eiji learns to be more compassionate towards not just his own personal circle of friends, masters and family but to genuinelly care for the entire village or even the ninja world as a whole. Would be a nice way to justify him using self-sacrifice-Dragon-Summoning jutsu.
Since Eiji has Edo-tensei, could he do Orochi's part during the summoning of the four Hokage+Sakon? Would be fun if Sasuke delivered the line were he said that he is going to stop if someone just brought his entire clan back to life right here right now and Eiji like:"DEAL!" Honestly, Eiji could bring back everyone as Edo-zombies: Hokage, His Master, Naruto's parents, Sakon, Chisato's husband and son, Neji's Dad and the Uchiha clan +people who died during Kuramas rampage. Then he would protect Konohagakure from Pain with the Hokage and capture the Pain that was made from Nagato's best friend(What's his name again?). With Edo tensei this friend could be brought back to life and Nagato then talked into reviving all the dead in the village+all the edo tensei people. We know this works from Zetsu/Obito reviving Madara. And BOOM! Eiji=Ninja Jesus=6th Hokage to the kage summit!!!
Finally, it would be interesting to see Eiji just talking Naruto down based on things he realistically saw in Naruto instead of just beating him up. Naruto preaches that he works really hard to become Hokage, but ultimately he mostly just rely's on kurama and his Uzumaki blood line that gives him more Chakra and basic chakra control, if I remember correctly. Being Hokage has more to do with paperwork than protecting the village as we saw from Boruto's Naruto. Naruto on the other hand barely understands the basics of being a ninja and doing standard ninja stuff like scroll summonings orr getting out of Genjutsu at the start of shippuden. Like, Jiraiya, a sunnin, had to drill those basic Gennin skills into Naruto for three years straight to get Naruto to basic Gennin level+Overpowered invinite Chakra boost from kurama/Uzumaki. It would be so awesome if Eiji pointed all that out to him and told both Naruto and Sakura off about being "splendid Ninja", although Sakura actually can do healing jutsu-just it's not really that relevant in the story apart from a few passages. Like, who did Sakura punch more? All of Konoha's enemies, foes on a mission and genuine threats to her or her loved ones, or Naruto? That's a good question for you, Sakura!
