Chapter 10:Escape From Death

"Ge-general, you're hurting me."

Li Bai's words fell deaf in Xiang Lian Jun's ears. The man's fingernails burrowed slightly on the Li Bai's skin. Agent 013 panicked once again, the danger level had risen into level SS. It is two level higher than Kai Feng's level of threat.

Xiang Lian Jun growled lowly, "Who are you with earlier?"

Li Bai's eyes darted everywhere. The soldiers had already noticed the fluctuation in the air surrounding the general and considerately gave them space. He can feel the man's strong killing intent and trembled in fear. This is not Xiang Lian Jun. This is not the gentle man he knows.

One of the military truck suddenly exploded in the distance. They were lucky that they are resting far away from the scene. A loud alarm blared all over the place.

"General, a group of Biantai are running towards our location!"

Xiang Lian Jun released Li Bai from his grip, his dark eyes regained their clarity. A look of panic appeared on his face when he saw that Li Bai is still not breathing. The man quickly carried him and shouted 'retreat' to his men.

They can't afford to fight in the open so they hurried out of the field and entered the dark forest. Xiang Lian Jun divided the troops into three and proceeded to run straight with five soldiers. His strength alone can rival the Biantais that is why he became a general as soon as he entered the military.

Li Bai had already recovered but didn't opened his eyes. His hands are still shaking at the memory of Xiang Lian Jun's crazed eyes staring viciously at him. That's right. The man will really choke him to death. The panic look was fake just like Kai Feng's 'in-love' expression.

"System, I w-wanna go home. Take me back." Agent 013 opened Li Bai's status and saw that his emotions are unstable. If this continues, Li Bai will break down mentally.

The system gritted his teeth and opened the system store. The low level teleportation costs 20 points, since they have 50 points, they can fend off with the remaining 30. They just need one opportunity to hide so they can activate it.

A series of gun shots passed them, Xiang Lian Jun and his men increased his pace. One was shot by their arm but it didn't effect their running speed. This type of tenacity can only be seen by old soldiers. True enough, the man is Xiang Lian Jun's right-arm man.

"Old Shen, take this kid and hide behind the waterfalls. I will lead them away." The injured Old Shen took Li Bai and went to the opposite direction. Li Bai opened his eyes and looked ahead, the harsh sound of collision of water to rock came from a great waterfall.

"You're awake, little one? Don't worry, the general will not die. We will be safe in no time." Old Shen hopped and landed to the other side of the falls.

How can he care to someone who almost killed him?

Li Bai did not answer and sat down. There was a cave behind the waterfalls, the air inside is humid and cold. Old Shen took off his uniform and inspected the gun wound. Although the bullet did not touched the bone, it went through and created a hole on the old man's arm.

The blood rushed out, Old Shen quickly bundled his uniform and used it to stop bleeding. Li Bai was worried that the wound would get infected since the uniform is not clean. He went to his mind and poked the system, "Hey, may I purchase a bandage and medicine?"

"...Do you want to stay away from Xiang Lian Jun?"

Li Bai didn't hesitated, "Of course."

"Then we need to purchase the low level teleportation."

"But we would still have some remaining points, right?"

Agent 013 looked at the 30 points and sighed, "Okay, I'll do what you want. Bandage and medicine totally costs 15 points. We will have a remaining of 5 points."

Food and water costs 3 points, Li Bai can only have one meal. After that, it's up to luck. Agent 013 is against with Li Bai's generosity. Kindness will not always be repaid with kindness.

"...I had lived with myself and striven hard by myself until I died. Even if all the people went left, I will remain right if that's the right thing to do."

Agent 013 snorted, "Bullshit. You just think that Old Shen looks handsome so you want to help."

"..." System, you've changed.

Agent 013 purchased the two items and they immediately appeared on Li Bai's hands. Fortunately, Old Shen is looking at his wounds and didn't saw what happened.

"Uhm, give you...give you medicine." Li Bai quietly muttered and put down the items in front of the man. Old Shen saw them and became confused.

"Where did you get those?"

'Shit, what do I say?' Li Bai panicked.

Old Shen shook his head, "Never mind. Thank you, kid."

Li Bai nodded and went back to his sitting place. Old Shen didn't look old at all, he's in his early thirties. He had a clean face and phoenix eyes that made his face looked younger. The man's tanned complexion came from his long exposure to the sun.

A gun shot and scream was heard near them. The two of them stiffened, Old Shen quickly threw his bloody uniform to Li Bai, covering him, and then peeped outside. The rustic stench of blood from the clothing did not affected Li Bai. Slowly, he's turning immune to the retched stench.

"Stay here and wait for me." Old Shen disappeared by the waters and Li Bai remained on the solitary cave.

"It's time. Close your eyes so you won't get dizzy." Agent 013 activated the teleportation. Li Bai was enveloped with bright light. The light slowly faded and the lone figure disappeared.

"Ah? This kid suddenly appeared!"

"Who's kid is this?"

"I wasn't looking behind so I didn't noticed."

When Li Bai opened his eyes, he was surrounded by a group of unknown people. Far away, he can see the sunflower field that they had escaped from. Li Bai gulped nervously, if Xiang Lian Jun's men scattered in the forest and was chased by Biantais, who are these people or should he say... 

What are these people?

His speculation was confirmed when one of them grinned at him and said, "Isn't this little one a human?"

'Fuck' Li Bai turned his heel and run as fast as he could. He escaped from Kai Feng and Xiang Lian Jun's clutches. Why does he always get in trouble ah? His heart was already broken by his Xiang Xiang. Can he just have a little rest today?

Hello~ I just want to say that it is understandable that Li Bai wasn't loved by the MLs since they all just felt a connection to him and not really 'in-love' like what Bai Bai thought.
