“... Tyren and Liana? You mean...you guys fought?”
I turned my head towards the voice. This scrawny chap , I totally forgot about him when I was drowning in all the exp alerts.
“Woops. You caught me, sorry ol chap, your friends are dead.”
His eyes are shocked. He tries to open his mouth in disbelief as he mutters a couple of words.
“Dead...They’re dead, oh god this whole journey has been a mess. A beast tamer bandit has taken notice of our group and killed them… How can my luck be so rotten.”
I flinch a little. A beast tamer bandit? Is that what I look like? Well it’s a more verifiable assumption than a human dungeon master.

I reach out my palms towards the kid who is backing off slowly. He can’t escape my grasp though, the difference in strength is too great. You could almost say its a whole difference in levels. I’m the lower one though…

Well this was within reason. This the first time I’ve seen something level up so I wasn’t sure what stat growth was supposed to look like the first place.
“I’m greatly anticipating what I can do with my DP. I’m also looking forward to seeing how I grow once I finally level up. But for now I should return back to the core.”

The dungeon core has gotten larger, roughly twice the size as before. The intensity of the light has slightly increased as well. The markings under on the ground are faintly illuminated as opposed to before.
“So you’ve awoken just like me. We’ve both been slumbering our time away.”
My palm reaches out to touch the core. This is the first time I’ve done this and the resonance brings about calming waves within my mind as if engulfing all the daily burdens.
“I can feel my health and my mental state restored. It’s practically a save crystal with more functions.”
A pair of eyes open, crimson in colour and a tad of naivety tinge within them. The pair of eyes seem to be interested in me. I can feel a touch in the world outside on my cheeks. The gentle feeling is too surprising for someone of my kind. Jerking awake I focus my eyes and watch the person standing before me.
