"So your biggest issue is that your grandfathers lifespan will shorten to a mere 10,000 years?"

In my new world a lifespan of 10,000 would be impossible for modern cultivators but my internal world had been around for an unquantifiable amount of time. Every single high level herb took an astronomical amount of time to mature, the time it took for herbs and ores to mature that would be of use to them was far longer than the history of human life on earth. Many higher tier materials even required several billion years to occur like the life force fire of a dying star. 10,000 years would hardly be enough time to get his affairs in order across the several star systems his commerce owned let alone accomplish anything meaningful

"That's all? Fine then, in addition to the other rewards I will grant you this."

With a wave of my hand the world essence started condensing rapidly into a single point. While the essence of any normal world would not be able to fix the longevity issue of a cultivator of his level, this was the origin world which was no different than the heart of this cosmos. The world energy had eventually condensed into a small orb the size of a lemon, and like a lemon I split it in half using my finger before grabbing half of the essence. 

"Dee Sei, hand me an ethereal jade bottle."

Dee Sei nodded obediently before producing a bottle of ghost like jade, to contain such potent energy one needed this vessel of pure energy. I squeezed the world energy over the jade bottle and watched as three rainbow droplets filtered in

"There, Pragmatic Gon, I give you three drops of pure world essence, each one shall give you 500,000 years of vital essence, you could use them all for yourself to essentially double your lifespan or they could be shared. I hear that using them when young only increases the potency."

I glanced over to his grandson, if this old man was as smart as I knew he was then he would interpret the hidden meaning in my words. The old man sure enough turned around and handed the bottle to his grandson

"Little Pei, these are yours." 

His grandson was stunned and hurriedly tried to shove the pills back

"Grandpa you must be kidding! These were given so you could remain as the Commerce Head for another million years and lead the chamber to a glorious tomorrow!"

His grandfather slowly shook his head

"This meeting with the Lord has reminded me of something, the Lord reached his level because he was willing to risk his life over and over again to see new and brighter things. Pei'er I spent 6.7 million years behind a desk and negotiating or making deals, not once was I able to live freely as a man. With these drops of life I want you to live a life far longer than I could have. With your talent and drive I'm sure you'll be the greatest commerce head in history. Before you are bound to purpose like I was though I wish you freedom, for the next 500,00 years I want you to travel the cosmos and realms unbound by things like familial duty."

I nodded in satisfaction, maybe I had gotten soft  by my family spoiling me but I liked this scene. I blessed the grandson with luck before sending the sects on their way with their rewards, I had a shinigami to catch.

I looked towards Dee Sei

"Dee Sei take care of the place, I'll be dropping in more frequently from now on."

Dee Sei nodded playfully and I shivered at whatever thoughts went through her mind just then before transporting myself  down to hell and gazing upon the green swirling vortex of water that seemed like a younger reincarnation pool as it had infinite souls, but my cosmos was not nearly as old as my original multiverse. But in a scene very nostalgic to me I yelled out

"HEY YOU YANLUO BASTARD!!! GET YOUR SCRAWNY ASS OUT HERE TO GREET ME

A fragile looking grim reaper, the exact opposite of the one I had previously met, timidly shuffled out to me before arriving, he was still tall and lanky looking like a pale tree more than anything. The reason I was grinning though was what came next

"W-What do you want pipsqueak"

I laughed heartily, I really had made him the exact opposite of the Yanluo in my realm. Looking meek and frail this Yanluo spoke like the most crazy bastard there was, I was literally God here and he still spoke to me like a longtime true friend.

"Shut the hell up you birch tree bitch, I came for a reason"

He looked down at me with extremely tired eyes

"Oh good, I f-figured you i-interrupted my j-job for no r-r-reason like normal."

"Listen just shut up and bring out a Shinigami you can do without, I'm sure you have at least one."

For the first time I saw him freeze up and sigh

"Y-Yeah we have a bastard who's almost as useless as you... m-my so-son ."

I widened my eyes in surprise, he'd abandon his son so easily? what kind of fath-

I suddenly heard chuckling from the darkest corner of the room, a young frail and pale but almost handsome in a vampire way came out of the shadows

"Fufufufufu, I see, father you have undervalued me to the lord in order to send me as an unassuming spy. The power in my death lord sight however is too much for me to go anywhere but the underworld!"

I saw Yanluo look down shaking on his son

"W-WHAT IS S-SPECIAL ABOUT EM! WE ALL HAVE SHINIGAMI EYES Y-YOU LAZY BASTARD! A-AND EVEN IF YOU WERE A-A S-SPY YOU JUST SHOUTED Y-YOU WERE ONE!"

I could forgive this father being disappointed of his son, although... this works better, I decided to put a plan into motion.

"Oh dear me I can sense great potential from you! However I'm not sure if you can handle the job I have in store for you. I need you to live and develop your own kingdom inside my father."

His eyes and ear perked up at this as he took a haughty pose

"Well I suppose no other Death Lord could accomplish such a marvelous task!"

"Death Lord?"

"W-We're SHINIGAMI y-you disappointment, y-you need to g-grow up."

I simply laughed

"Come now Yanluo, leave the boy be, he's to be a king. are you ready to inherit your glorious kingdom?!"

With eyes burning of green flame Yanluo's son spread his arms and screamed to the sky.

"IN THE NAME OF THE LORDS OF HELL BEFORE ME-

His father spoke up

"I-I'm the only one before you"

"IN THE NAME OF MY FATHER! I SWEAR TO THE GREAT ETERNAL DEATH DRAGON THAT I- SI LING SWEAR THAT I WILL FOLLOW YOUR MAJESTY TO REIGN OVER MY GLORIOUS KINGDOM FOR ALL TIME."

I once again grew confused

"Eternal Death Dragon? I never created that here."

Yanluo sighed once again

"I-It's a made up c-creature."

Si Ling started throwing a tantrum

"DAAADDDD! I swear it's real! he comes to me in my dreams!"

Although I doubted the validity of his statement this was something worth checking in the future

"I will check into this death dragon god, however in the meantime I need you to head into this necklace."

Immediately after Si ling went into the necklace he started shouting

"W-WAIT! THERE'S A GIANT GREY DRAGON SOUL ASLEEP IN HERE!"

I laughed evilly

"Well you better quit yelling then. Dad is gonna be so happy with his fathers day gift."

I nodded to Yanluo who I had just stolen the son of and departed back home, it had been long enough...for me, only about 15 minutes had passed with me missing,  when I opened up my eyes and arrived back in my room I saw that even though I was only gone for 20 minutes, my father was yelling at his men, all 20,000 who had gathered in front of our sizeable house

"LISTEN HERE YOU WORTHLESS BASTARDS! THE ONLY REASON I KEEP YOU AROUND IS AS MEAT SHIELDS TO MY DARLING FAMILY! IF YOU CAN'T EVEN STOP MY SON BEING LOST WHAT GOOD ARE YOU?! FINE THEN THOSE WHO WERE IN CHARGE OF GUARDING MY SON DIE BY MY HAND!"

My father wrapped himself in his soul flame and formed it into a dragon of 15 meters, I acted fast and stepped towards him before coming out of the bushes all dirty. My father immediately took notice and came to my side

"XIN MY DARLING BOY! ARE YOU OK?! TELL PAPA WHICH WORTHLESS MEAT SACK PUT YOU IN THE BUSHES! PAPA WILL BURN THEIR WHOLE BLOODLINE!!!"

Instead of trying to calm down my rampaging adorably idiotic father I simply put the necklace on him and sent a mental message to Si Ling 

'Si Ling, head into the purgatory soul flame and manage it well or I'll erase you from reality.'

after delivering this cold message I smiled happily at my stunned father

"PAPA! I was digging for treasure! happy fathers day! I wuv you!"

While I cringed at the baby talk, my father maintained his stunned expression for 5 seconds before hugging me tightly and crying

"XXIIIINNNNNNNNN!!!! PAPA WILL TREASURE THIS FOREVER! NOBODY IN THE UNIVERSE COULD TAKE IT FROM ME!"

This was surprisingly accurate, with how weak this universe was right now without a deity to circulate world energy a grey dragon soul would be unstoppable, if it was tried to be forcibly taken from the comfortable warmth of a soul flame blanket it would wake up and devour anything in the universe that initiated conflict. Before anything else however a grey flame far more pure erupted from my fathers body.

'The second stage of the Soul Flame Realm, mixing killing intent and malice with the flame... the effects this will have will protect him marvelously'

 

However with this power I noticed something else... the earth was shaking

 

 

 

AN: Hey guys sorry it took so long, it's been a rough bit for me but i'm realllllyyyy trying, I've been busy working, trying to find my own place to live, and college needing more dedication than I used to put into school.
