It´s now been over week since Gajeel had met with the hooded man from Raven Tail.

They had discussed what happened there with Makarov and he had a good idea who it was that Gajeel had met with.

Makarov suspected that it had been a man called Solas, a former member of the guild, who also was one of the people that had followed Ivan and left the guild the same day that Ivan had been kicked out.

Solas was a user of a particular type of illusion magic, one that focused on tricking multiple senses of the body, although that limited the numbers of people that he could affect at the same time.

But the fact that Solas was now part of Raven Tail, and the fact that Makarov had identified the shikigami to be created by Ivan´s magic, there was no doubt left that Ivan was really behind Raven Tail, destroying the last hope that Makarov had for his son.

As for the information that Solas wanted Gajeel to gather?

That was no problem, the plans of the guild were not really secret or anything, because there were none to begin with, Makarov was not keen on scheming on plans or things, all he wanted was to protect the guild and its members, that´s it.

As for the information about Zeldaris, Aversia and the improved weapons and armors that Erza had received and would receive in the future, they would be demonstrated as far weaker than they actually were, although probably no one would believe if Gajeel told them the full extent of their power.

And lastly Lumen Historia, Makarov made it clear that this was one of Fairy Tail´s biggest secrets and that it would stay that way.

Over the next few days Gajeel was reporting the information too Raven Tail, in particular toward Ivan himself, who was positively surprised that his newest recruit was so energetic and able to produce such results so quickly.

And after a good part of the information had been delivered too Ivan, Gajeel, Zeldaris and Aversia had decided to go on a job together, hunting a flock of ripper birds that were currently terrorizing the coastline of Fiore.

Resulting in the current situation were the three were fighting against hundreds of these giant flesh-eating birds, which were strong enough to bite through steel.

Ripper birds were giant, green, parrot like birds with a snake like tail.

They were around three meters tall with sharp teeth and claws.

Gajeel was at the ground trying to somehow survive this hell.

The birds were latterly ganging up on him, and even though his iron was much harder than normal steel, if more than three of these crazy birds attacked at once, then they could even bite through his iron.

He had managed to kill more than fifty of these birds, by either fighting them in mele or by shooting them down.

As for the two half dragons, they were fighting against these birds in the air.

The sky looked as if it was burning as multiple dragon shaped spells were flying through the air.

Raging Dragon was devouring dozens of them at once.

Two Hunting Dragons were hunting down any that tried to flee, while dozens of mini dragons, which were made from Dragon Dance, were trying to find an enemy.

And in the middle of everything…

“[Chaos Dragon`s Roar]”

Aversia was unleashing her roar toward a large group of birds, using her full power to burn them and everything dozens of meters behind them.

With her sword in one hand, she had lost count of how many she had killed, not that she cared about it.

Aversia cut through a bird that tried to ambush her, her hands were hurting from all the attacks that she did with them, and yet she was having the time of her life.

“[Chaos Dragon´s Rampage]”

Zeldaris begun to spin around and covered himself with his grey flames, turning into a spiraling, flaming, tornado, which was slicing and burning through anything in its path.

The numbers were quickly dwindling, and it seemed like that in less than three minutes, all of the birds would be killed.

And yet, both Zeldaris and Aversia were hopping that they would endure longer, that new groups would arrive, to fight them, to tear them apart.

Fortunately for Gajeel, who at this point was bleeding from multiple wounds and had barley any stamina left, no other groups appeared, and the remaining birds were annihilate in less than two minutes.

Zeldaris and Aversia landed on the ground beside the heavily panting Gajeel, both of them didn´t even had a single drop of blood on them, their flames had burned any incoming blood into dust.

“Hah… Hah… Seriously… Next time… I… I go with Juvia…” Gajeel said while trying to process what he had just gone through.

“Oh, come on it´s not always this bad.” Aversia said with a smirk.

“I doubt that. That seriously reminded me of that hell training, that your mothers made us go through!”

Gajeel was not wrong, the training that Challot and Emrissen had put Gajeel and Natsu through was quite literally the stuff of nightmares.

“It wasn´t that bad.” Zeldaris said while handing Gajeel and Aversia something to drink, which both happily accepted.

Gajeel didn´t answer, knowing that it would be for naught to argue with those two about it.

After they had collected the reward of the job they begun their trip back to the guild, on which Gajeel slept most of the time.

Once they were back at Magnolia, they decided to take a stroll through the park.

“We are being followed.” Gajeel said while taking a bite from the food that they had bought at a street vender.

“Honestly, they are doing a shitty job at it.”

“STOP SCREWING AROUND! JET! DROY! WE KNOW THAT YOU ARE THERE!” Aversia yelled in annoyance.

Nothing happened at first, but as soon as Aversia filled the air with Dancing Lights Jet and Droy came out of hiding.

“Man, and here I thought that we would be able to do this in secret.”

“Did you really think that you could sneak up on a dragon slayer and two half dragons without being noticed?” Zeldaris asked while raising an eyebrow.

“Idiots.”

Was all Gajeel had to add, while Aversia was getting rid of the floating fire balls.

After Yet and Droy came over the fact that they had been noticed, they started to stare at Gajeel, their eyes filled with anger and hatred

“I don´t know why gramps let you in the guild, but don´t think that we will allow it so easily.”

“Yeah, we will show you that we are not some push overs and that you were only able to beat us, because you sneaked up on us.”

Zeldaris and Aversia face palmed after hearing this, while cursing these two idiots.

“Gihi! So, you two think that you can take me on? Then bring it, I still have to report the success of the mission.”

“Don´t look down on us.” Yet said and wanted to rush at Gajeel, however.

“WAIIIIIIT!” Levi came running toward them, while yelling that they should stop.

But Yet and Droy didn´t listen and started their attacks toward Gajeel.

Zeldaris and Aversia wanted to step in and stop the two, but Gajeel signaled the two to wait and watch.

Yet quickly picked up speed and punched Gajeel multiple times at high speed.

The ground split as multiple large veins grew out of them and attacked Gajeel.

The iron dragon slayer took all of these attacks without defending himself.

“Stop it!” Levi yelled while using her scripture magic to create a wall before Gajeel.

“”LEVI!”” yelled both Yet and Droy.

“USELESS!” yelled someone as suddenly lightning came flying from the sky and hit Gajeel, who in turn groaned a bit but was otherwise fine.

Zeldaris and Aversia quickly stepped before Gajeel and glared at the man that had just attacked Gajeel, Laxus.

The two wanted to say something, but they noticed that there was something wrong with Laxus, he seemed different, more unstable than usual.

“You have got to be kidding me, why the hell is he here?!”

“He is our little brother, Laxus, so leave him alone!” Aversia yelled.

“HE ATTACKED FAIRY TAIL AND BECAUSE OF HIM PEOPLE ARE MAKING FUN OF US!” Laxus yelled, lightning was crackling around him.

“Since when did we ever care about the opinion of others?!” Zeldaris answered.

“Yeah…” Yet and Droy added meekly.

“YOU TWO WEAKLINGS HAVE NO RIGHT TO SAY ANYTHING! YOU HAVE BROUGHT SHAME UPON THE GUILD!”

Zeldaris and Aversia got ready to fight, Laxus was acting much more violent than usual, and they had a bad feeling about his current mental state.

“YOU! YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF BEING PART OF FAIRY TAIL, ESPECIALLY YOU LITTLE GUILD! THE GUILD DOESN´T NEED SOMEONE AS WEEK AS YOU!!!”

And with these words Laxus attacked Levi with a lightning bold that was more than enough to kill her.

Normally Zeldaris and Aversia would be able to react in time, not that they were as fast as lightning, but Laxus movements, the movements of magic power should have been enough information for them to understand where and who he was going to attack, and yet they were not able to react in time.

Because they were simply stunned that Laxus had actually used a spell to kill a member of the guild, a fellow friend.

In all the time that they had quarreled with Laxus, they would have never expected him to actually try to kill one of them, a member of the same guild.

But luckily, Gajeel was able to react in time and he threw himself before the lightning bolt and transformed his arm into a club, turning himself into a human lightning rod.

The second that the attack hit Laxus, both half dragons snapped out of their shock and became enraged.

“BASTARD!!!” yelled Aversia while rushing toward him with flaming fists, scales started to form on her arms.

Zeldaris on the other hand quickly arrived before Gajeel to see how badly he was injured.

Laxus didn´t have enough time to react and was sent flying by Aversia´s punch.

But Laxus quickly transformed into lightning and appeared behind Aversia.

“Good, let me get rid of you first!”

Laxus fired multiple bolts of lightning from his hands and hit Aversia, who was not giving a shit about it and readied her next attack.

“THAT IS ENOUGH!” yelled Vulcan who suddenly appeared between Aversia and Laxus.

“Have you lost your mind Laxus. Trying to fight and to kill your fellow members of the guild! Have you no shame?!”

Laxus gritted his teeth.

“I should ask you that! Why is he in the guild, he humiliated the name of the guild by destroying the guild hall!”

Both Zeldaris and Aversia wanted to tear Laxus into pieces, they had with him and would no longer hesitate.

Vulcan only raised an eyebrow and said, “Said the one that ignored the situation of the guild and did nothing. You have lost your right to say anything about Gajeel joining the guild. Now, get the hell out of here, before I am going to slap some sense into you!”

Laxus definitely didn´t plan to just leave and planned to kill all seven of them right here right now, but he received a notice from Freed.

“*tch* Count yourself lucky, you have survived another day. But I will kill you all and take over the guild, mark my words!!!”

Laxus´s whole body transformed into lightning and disappeared.

“WHY DID YOU JUST LET HIM LEAVE LIKE THAT?!” yelled Aversia toward Vulcan.

Vulcan sighed and looked at his daughter with a dead serious look.

“He will not get away from this without any punishment, you have my word for that. But think about what would have happened if you and Zeldaris would have fought against Laxus, the lives of multiple people would have been at risk.”

Aversia tried to calm down for a moment and think about it, and Vulcan was right, if the two had fought with Laxus, then the surrounding people may have been in danger, no maybe even the whole city.

Vulcan turned around and looked at Gajeel and smiled.

“You have kept your word Gajeel.”
