While Wu Min Huan and the others set out for their mission, life in the outer sect resume as usual. Jing Yi was happy that he had finally managed to find a way to do the troublesome task of washing dirty robes and Qiu Ling naturally stayed around to make sure that his poor beloved wouldn’t be bullied beyond measure, preemptively noting down everyone’s face for future usage.

Meanwhile, the Yun Zou Sect’s Grandmaster Zhangsun Xun Yi was feeling gratified. Sitting in his study and sipping a cup of tea, he felt that he truly had picked up a gem. A whole week had already gone by but his disciple was still sitting in his room well-behaved and meditating. This kind of patience was really rare in people of such a young age. Yes, he hadn’t made a mistake when he took him in as his disciple.

Since this disciple had already proven that he had the necessary patience, he should go and get him to finally start on his training of the sword arts. With that thought in mind, Zhangsun Xun Yi got up and left his study, walking over to Qiu Ling’s room and knocked on the door. He didn’t get an answer though.

The Grandmaster’s brows furrowed. Could it be that his disciple was this engrossed in meditation that he hadn’t even heard him? He knocked again, louder this time, but there was still no reaction.

Zhangsun Xun Yi’s brows furrowed even further. Never mind being engrossed in meditation, if you really were this preoccupied, then that wasn’t good either. What if the person that had come by wasn’t his Master but somebody who wanted to harm him? He might not have enemies now but who could say for sure if it would stay this way in the future? No, he had to advise him that he couldn’t be too lost in his meditation!

Thus Zhangsun Xun Yi opened the door. Facing the meditation platform, he felt a little stunned. Where was his disciple? He looked around the room but Qiu Ling couldn’t be seen. Zhangsun Xun Yi stood rooted to the spot. What had happened? Never mind that the disciple he had just praised in his mind had turned out not to be meditating and all, how had he left his a room without him noticing? This was inside his palace. It was reasonable to say that he should know everything happening here but he didn’t know where Qiu Ling was.

Zhangsun Xun Yi was dumbfounded. This had certainly been out of his wildest expectations. He wasn’t sure if he should be angry that his disciple hadn’t done what he said and meditated until he came to get him or praise him that he was able to leave the palace without him noticing. At the end of the day, that was still a commendable achievement.

He shook his head with a sigh and turned to leave his palace. Whatever, he just had to find out where his disciple had run off to. Maybe there was a good explanation for what he had done. He shouldn’t judge him before he didn’t know all the details.

Zhangsun Xun Yi flew over the inner sect but couldn’t spot his disciple anywhere. Just where was he? He furrowed his brows and finally left the parameter of the inner sect and instead looked around in the outer sect. He couldn’t imagine why his disciple should be here but since he hadn’t found him on any of the peaks, there was no other place he could check.

Zhangsun Xun Yi didn’t need need to look for long. His disciple was crouching behind a shrub, his nails scratching at the bark of the tree beside him. Zhangsun Xun Yi hovered in the air, trying to figure out just what his disciple was doing there. He couldn’t find an answer though.

The Grandmaster landed a few meters away with curiosity filling his heart and stepped closer. Peeking through the shrub in front of his disciple, his expression derailed. His eyebrows twitched dangerously and he closed in on him further, grabbing his disciple by the shoulder. "Qiu Ling, what do you think you’re doing here?"

The dragon king looked up and blinked his eyes. Naturally, he had felt somebody approaching but since the person was merely a human he hadn’t paid him any more attention. Now that the person had actually talked to him, he couldn’t ignore them any longer. He looked at the scolding face and pondered. Where had he seen this person before?

Not getting a reaction from his disciple, Zhangsun Xun Yi felt even worse. Just why had he taken this person in? "Didn’t I tell you to meditate for the time being? What are you doing out here?" His gaze once again traveled to the other side of the shrub where a group of female disciples had gathered. He couldn’t believe his disciple had actually gone to spy on women!

Qiu Ling had no idea why this person was angry at him but at the very least he remembered that this seemed to be his Master. He got up and motioned over at the group on the other side. "I was merely making sure that nothing bad would happen."

Zhangsun Xun Yi frowned further. What 'making sure that nothing bad would happen'? What kind of bad thing could happen if a group of women stood around talking? Wasn’t he just peaking at them? Thinking of that, the Grandmaster pulled Qiu Ling away. "I don’t want to see you in that kind of situation again, do you understand?"

Qiu Ling very honestly shook his head. He hadn’t done anything wrong, had he? Those women were all surrounding his beloved! He had hardly been able to see him! Wasn’t it normal that he would try and see what was happening? He had to make sure that nothing would happen to his Jing He!

Seeing that his disciple still wasn’t repenting, the Grandmaster dragged him off even faster. It seems he had to closely monitor for him while he let him train. Even while meditating his disciple couldn’t be left alone. Otherwise, who knew what kind of atrocious thing he would do? He certainly couldn’t let that happen! The disciple of he, Zhangsun Xun Yi, wasn’t allowed to show such base behavior.
