“Battlecruiser in a harbor”
I was curious what the local port looked like. I had to spend some time convincing them that everything is fine and I would not do anything bad.
When we walked closer to the port I was surprised. The port’s waterfront is completely made of stone but the piers and the berths are made of wood with iron parts. The ships here remind me of the medieval sail ships. While I see no cannons on military ships on the roadstead I think this port has more than enough naval power to be considered the pride of this nation.
“What are you thinking about?” My companions returned me back to the reality.
“There are nice ships that remind me of the glorious past. Such a nostalgic feeling.”
“Well, these are the newest of our ships and for you they are old…” The prince was disheartened by my response but I can’t say I am wrong here.
“Oh my, one of them is heading here~!” I saw how one of the ships set course towards the harbor and the sailors started oaring.
The ship was gracefully navigating between the merchant ships which were entering and leaving the port. When the ship was past the anchorage it rang its bells.
‘DING-DING-DING’
The sailors were standing on the ship’s bow and seemingly saluted.
I deployed the artillery and raised a secondary gun.
“Wait a moment! You promised not to do anything like that!” For an unknown reason the others were startled.
“I am but saluting the fellow military personnel.” I dismissed their concerns to fire two shots. While I could do a full 21 shot barrage, for the locals it would look more like a doomsday.

The ships I write about here are all imagined. There is no sense looking up on google.

@Maple She can fire her tertiary (76.2) but I think that even her secondaries don't get enough love. Unlike her main caliber.
@AFP_Writer even tho you already know I'll still say it her secondary guns is effective on closer range than her main guns but useless when used againt's other heavily armored ships
@Maple Her guns are used like that (in fantasy):
Main guns kill anything further than 10 km, or anything that approached her closer than 20 meters.
Secondary (102) kill anything that is between 10 m - 10 km, air targets are above 50 m up to 6-7 km.
Tertiary (76) kill anything that is between 10 m - 5 km in any direction.
AA (20, 40) kill anything that is between 5 m - 3 km in any direction.
HMG (12.7) kill anything that is closer than 1 km in any direction.
Her main guns are viable alternative for CQC, unlike 76 and 102 which can't fire that close (risk damaging the barrels with explosion or shrapnel) and won't damage too much with their gases.
@AFP_Writer welp I messed up again i woke up the knowledge demon (so her secondary guns are dual purpose)
@Maple All her guns but main are DP. I written those ranges just to show that she has overlapping ranges where she can screw up anything.

@Maple Any AA sucks. It will do its best to suck as long as it's not CIWS.
@AFP_Writer imagine CIWS was invented in WW2 then all enemy planes will nothing than flies
@Maple It was, it's called Gatling - that one from 19th century.
@AFP_Writer i do know that but that one was still too slow compared the the GAU-8 and M61 Vulcan (the one used in CIWS) also the targeting system
@Maple If you want another nerdy thing, late war Bofors were somewhat radar guided. They were s*, they were as reliable as dirty M16 thrown into a swamp, and they were like 1945 made. But they were the closest to CIWS they had back then.
Also, why would you need Phalanx (M61 Vulcan) when you have no missiles? You better have something hard-hitting like bofors or 76 to knock pests (like kamikaze) out of the sky.

@Maple I read about AA past week. It doesn't take too long to learn something by accident. Also when I want to learn something about guns I use a site. All info for Fuji's artillery was taken from here: http://www.navweaps.com/

@Maple Well, regarding games there is Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts. It costs some money but I am not disappointed in it. A nice way to spend time telling enemy BBs why 15 gun Yamato is more democratic.
@AFP_Writer I have yet to purchase Yamato but i got a free trial and her armor is so thick that she just deflect the hits her AA is so bad tho
@Maple IDK, long reload is not the best. I don't play WoWS but I watched some videos on YT.
If you want better AA - find someone with US cruiser to protect you.
@AFP_Writer I mainly play the CV role since i don't want to engage in a head on battle and being protected is just nice i just hate when I'm being shelled by HE ammo ah.......need to sleep now didn't see the time it's already 1：24 am here.
