First off, the poll is at the start so people who don't plan on reading this chapter will see it and maybe respond to it. If you plan on reading this chapter, read it and then come back up to answer the poll, because your answer might change.

That being said, this is entirely flavor text. One does not need to know most of the information revealed in this .5 chapter, and what does become important will be explained at that time or before in one of the main chapters. Feel free to skip this and any other "drop details" chapters in the future, they will all be fully optional like this. Of course, there are some fun bits here and there in this chapter, mostly in the remarks, and it's short, barely 1200 words.

Enemies hit by this bow’s arrows have a chance of being marked by the stars, outlining them with a glowing border, rendering stealth unuseable, and revealing them on the minimap

Grants [Star Gaze] active skill

Remarks:

“A bow carved from the orbit1The bone making up the eye socket of a spider’s eye, specifically one that desires to consume the stars themselves. Calls down the ire of the stars, and transfers it to each and every arrow it fires”

Class modifiers: None

Physical defensive strength: High (restricted to attacks targeting one’s posterior)

Magical defensive strength: None

Remarks:

“A strange trend among the people of the city of New York, in a far away universe. The trend originated due to a young mute girl's almost sadistic tendencies in combat. As one of, if not the most competent smith in the city, Helion has gotten flooded by these requests, to the point he's actually begging people in the hopes that they ask him to make literally anything else, regardless of cost or difficulty. Does not actually provide any meaningful protection when faced with the real deal”

Well, that's it for now, I'm gonna plug my usual stuff (Discord, other novel), repeat the bit from last chapter where I said that my main novel is gonna be my focus for the near future, and announce that the poll from chapter 1 is now officially closed - well, I'll leave it open, but further votes won't do anything, I just think it'll be interesting to see how future readers think. The results: (Sorry, no dramatic drumroll, my drummer-that-does-not-exist seems to have not wanted anything to do with the .5 chapter)
6 votes for yes, put in the GB tag (1 without reading the spoiler)
1 vote for no, don't put in the GB tag (read the spoiler)
2 votes for Giant Bacon
So, there's now a GB tag. I figured as much, but reader input is important to me. So, another poll is in order, I guess. It's at the top, in case you forgot or somehow missed it. I'll keep making these .5 chapters regardless, but how much effort I put into them might change... or maybe not, I find them fun to make. Two joke answers this time.
