"I wanted to go too"<Williams>

Drawing on the ground with a stick while I waited for Rubbert to come back.  With nothing to do I look at the gate

'I know that there monsters on the fields, but I am bored'<Williams>

A luxurious cart pass thru the line near the gate. People complain but they quickly stop their complaints .  Even the guards just kneel and let the carriage pass without an inspection.

"Ah, I wish that I was rich as those nobles, so I do not have to wait."<Man>

"I know right. I may have being born inside the city, but I still have to wait to enter"<Man_2>

*Chirp, Chirp

Landing on my shoulder, Rubbert look at me

"What?, You found something?"<Williams>

Following the gestures and directions of Rubbert, I sat in the middle of the tall grass. With his wing on my mouth. I waited.  A human pig stumps each time he walks.  Walking around while dragging his giant wooden club. Leaving deep footprints the pig left.

Every step that I took was with extreme caution.Monsters are everywhere inside the grassland . A snake slider down a whole in the ground after leaving a trial of wither plants. The head of a goblin's head  was cut in an instance by a mantis monster.  A rabbit was stung to death by a nest of bugs.

After much hidding, we arrive at a flower ring. It was filled with different colors. A sweet smell came from the flowers.  Gesturing  with his wings Rubbert ask me to pick up all the flowers in the field. In a matter of minutes I pick all the flowers from the small flower ring.

Picking all the flowers, I only found seven Golden lily and thirteen unknown flowers. Walking back a big rabbit with two horns stood in our way. It had golden fur and blue marble eyes.  Sniffing the air it turns toward us. It's two horns started to produce parks.

*Bam!

Before I knew it ,Rubbert pulled me to the side narrowly avoiding the strike. It left a charred spot. Changing to his eagle form, Rubbert quickly move to the sky. The rabbit charge again and lightning hurls at Rubbert.  Maneuvering, Rubbert avoided the attack,just gracing his feathers, but sparks appeared around him.  Falling like a straight arrow, Rubbert crashes to the ground. Before I could do anything the rabbit sent balls of lighting flying toward Rubbert.  

"RUBERT  WATCH OUT"<Williams>

Rubbert was unable to move. 

*skreeeeeaghh!!!!

“RUBBERT, NOOOO!”

Each ball threw Rubber around like a rag doll. Each hit left him a burn mark. Each attack left Rubbert closer to death.

Grabbing the nearest rock I threw it with all my might at the rabbit.Crack!, the rock split into little pieces revealing grey insects.The insects angrily swarm the rabbit. Taking advantage of the distraction, I ran toward Rubbert. 

A horrible smell entered my mouth as I tried to pick up Rubbert. Panthing, Rubbert triet to look at me, but he did not have enough energy. His once bright eyes are now dull.

"Let's get out of here"<Williams>

With no success, I decided to drag him. Grabbing one of his legs, I pull with all my might.

*skreeeeeaghh

"What! Don't you see we are in danger"<Williams>

Rubbert sluggishly raises his wing to point it at the pouch.

He searches the bag with his beak, While I am dragging him. Crunch, Rubbert munch on something. He started to glow. Rubbert gestured at me to lend him a hand . Leaning on my shoulder, Rubbert opened his mouth.  Light started to gather at his mouth  Noticing his the rabbit ignore the swarm and started to charge his horn

*Peew! 

The light beam passes thru the head of the rabbit, leaving a pea size hole in it.  With a thud sound the rabbit felt into the ground. With a sigh of relief I sat down beside Rubbert while waiting for the rabbit to completely disappear.

"That was cool. Can you do it again?"<Williams>

The grey insects disperse after losing their target. In the middle of the ground was a small yellow jawbreaker. I put it on the bag t. Rubbert transform back and I pick him up. Moving carefully in the grassland I was able to reach the gate.

On our way back a group of adventurers were carrying one of their companions. Person was pierce like yellow cheese. His wounds leaked  blood. They pass thru the whole line,but before they could pass the gate the guard stops them to  ask them a few questions. After that they hurriedly continue walking.

Buying meat screws and pastries, we munch on the food. Rubbert belly inflated like a balloon. My face is filled with grease.

“I think that you need to get on a diet. How about only bird seeds?”<Williams>

Rubber protested at my offer.

The streets are mostly empty. Most of the people are right now with their families. 

 Inside the guild people are quiet. .A depressed face can be seen in most of them. 

With the same expression, she stares at the door.

"Um , can I report our quest"<Williams>

Placing the five golden lilies on the counter, the expression of the receptionist changed.

"Oh!, you have already finish. Wait a minute please. I will bring you back your reward"<Receptionist>

'Should I ask her what is the matter?'<Williams>

Rubbert rested on my hands.

'No, I need to go the potion shop'<Williams>

I received the payment and went to the potion shop.  

"Hello kid, Do you need a health potion?"<Old_lady>

"H..ow did you know?"<Williams>

"I can read your mind. Just kidding, I saw your friend over there. It seems you two had a rough day"<Old_lady>

I nodded with my head.

"Here, a small health potion. if you have something valuable, I could hold it for you again. Hehehehe, Just joking. That would be 4 silver coins''<Old_Lady>

Taking the potion I place the 4 silver coins.

"Excuse.. Do you want to buy what I have on my bag"<Williams>

"Show them to me kid. You are making this old sack of bones excited"<Old_Lady>

I place the flowers on the counter. Carefully examining every flower, she had a smile on her face.

"Kid, I knew you were special. Most of these flowers are rare. Especially that one"<Old_lady>

She pointed her finger at a black flower. 

"That one alone will cost around one gold coin. It is so hard to find that a some people will kill on the spot and steal from you"<Old_lady>

I could feel goosebumps from the thought of someone trying to kill me.

"But you do not have to worry about it.People have found ways to replace this flower with other common plants. It would usually result in lower grade potion, but is better than nothing."<Old_lady>

The old lady took out a wooden square with beads inside it. She slowly started to sly them up and down.  She put down the square and started to count with her fingers.

"In total it would be another three  gold coins. Do you want to pay the potion? Or do you want me to give you the money?"<Old_lady>

"I want to pay for the potion that I owe you. My mother told that I should pay anything that owe first then buying new things"<Williams>

"It seems that your mother is quite smart"<Old_lady>

Placing all the things on the counter, I put them on the bag. When I was going the grab the jawbreaker the old lady stop me. Her wrinkling thin arms grip my arm. Trying to pull my arm, but it would not budge. I turn my head at Rubbert, but he is still sleeping.

"Kid, Where did you get that?"<Old_Lady>

Her eyes glued to the jawbreaker.

" I got it after I killed a monster"<Williams>

The old lady let go of my arm and started to observe the jawbreaker. 

"It is!, it is!, Hurry up and sell me this kid. I will pay you one hundred gold coins"<Old_Lady>

"Um"<Williams>

*Slam

She put both of her arms on the counter and looked me directly at the eyes. Her eyes trying to pop out.

"Two hundred gold coins!!. That is my last offert!"<Old_lady>

I took a step after she blurted that out.

"...Okay, but can you tell me what is that thing"<Williams>

She slump on the chair behind the counter. She started to mumble something, but I could not hear her.

"Kid, this is a Yellow pearl. It has the properties of increasing the rank of any potion by one. It is so rare that I heard kingdoms went to war just to obtain one"<Old_lady>

She got out her chair and went inside the room behind the counter with the yellow jawbreaker. I finish moving all the things from the bag to the storage bag. Then I took the brown belt off and put it on the table. 

I look at Rubbert who despises all the screaming, continues to sleep.

"Sight, he must be really tired. After All, he fought really hard"<Williams>

The old lady came out of the room carrying a wooden chest. Placing the chest on the counter made a small ring sound. 

"Here you go kid. Two hundred gold coins"<Old_lady>

Just as I was going to leave, I turn around and bought  three supreme health potions. Each potion cost me ten gold coins.

 It was already dark when I arrived at the inn. I rented the same room again. 

"Hey, wake up. Drink this potion"<Williams>

In a daze Rubbert open his eyes.  With both of his wings, grab the bottle and drink it in one go.  Dim glow spread all around his body. His char body return to his glossy silver color.

*chirp, chirp

His strength seems to have return to him. After I lay on the bed ,I told him everything that happened in the potion shop. When I got to the part of the price of the yellow pearl he started to scold me.

"Then How much did it really cost? three hundred?"<Williams>

He shook his head until I said six hundred gold coins. I was really shocked to learn the true price of the yellow pearl.

"I am sorry, next time will wait until you wake up"<Williams>

With a tired expression Rubbert flew to the window and closed his eyes. I close my eyes too.
