On a gigantic platform in the middle of a bustling city, several runes and symbols glowed in the air, activating the platform as space briefly shook.

The guards and watchmen on the scene were startled before focusing their gazes on this platform.

They knew that someone powerful or important might appear instantly.

Quickly, two shadows appeared in the center of the platform, drawing the attention of everyone nearby.

Ling Tian's gaze scanned the surroundings once they crossed the void, clearly observing the city as he felt the slight increase of spiritual chi in the surroundings. Beside him was Yang Jing, completely healthy.

"Ugh!"

Yang Jing suddenly couldn't help but bring her little hands to her mouth as a feeling of nausea completely overtook her.

Running to the edge of the platform, Yang Jing finally vomited. Her head was spinning and she felt like she was going to faint.

Ling Tian looked at her and sighed lightly. It would be strange if Yang Jing didn't feel anything after teleporting.

"Kong Ye City?"

Finally observing one of the guards nearby, Ling Tian asked.

"Y-yes!" The guard nodded somewhat confused. He wasn't the only one who was confused at the sight of Ling Tian.

"Which way is Gong Hua City?"

Hearing Ling Tian's second question, the guard raised his arm, pointing in a certain direction, "Towards the east... it's 6 months journey away on the spatial ship!"

Ling Tian nodded slightly. The space ship is one of the special flying artifacts that allow cultivators to travel and reach distant places in a short time. One only had to pay a fee for its use and they could rest or cultivate quietly on the journey while waiting to reach their destinations.

There were spaceships that could carry from a minimum of 10 cultivators to more than 100 cultivators. Their speed also depended on the cost and level of the flying ship.

However, this spatial ship was barely a mid-grade flying artifact, barely far surpassing the speed of a nascent soul realm cultivator.

Ling Tian estimated that he would only need a few days to reach this Gong Hua City on the flying sword.

Gong Hua City was where he had arrived in the past along with Ning Xiaoyi and Xi Fei once they arrived in this east state, so Ling Tian knew the area there better than this Kong Ye City, which he had never been here before.

Yang Jing finally recovered to a large extent, her breathing gradually stabilized as she sat still, feeling tired and weak for some strange reason.

"Better?" Ling Tian walked over and wiggled his fingers, a small ball of water appeared in front of Yang Jing. She had slight traces of vomit on her mouth and hands.

Yang Jing observed this and immediately wet her hands, to quickly wash her face and finally her hands.

Ling Tian handed her a small handkerchief as well.

Yang Jing looked at him for a seconds and finally she took the small handkerchief, wiping her face and hands.

"Thank you..." Yang Jing said weakly, feeling strength slowly returning to her body.

"Come on, you'll recover on the way. Once we get to the sect I'll teach you how to cultivate."

When Ling Tian finished speaking, the flying sword appeared to the side.

Yang Jing was still unable to move properly and she was helped by Ling Tian to get on the flying sword, to finally sit up and breathe better.

The Sacred Heavenly Scriptures energy flowed out and protected Yang Jing as the flying sword was soared up, flying into the sky and taking a specific direction.

The guards were stunned to see what was happening, but just as Ling Tian and Yang Jing disappeared, a trace of the aura he had left behind shook the guards' minds.

A true expert!

This was the thought they all had when they felt that hint of aura brought them a fierce threat!

It should be noted that they were all golden core realm peak cultivators, so the only reason they could feel threatened was if the other party had a higher cultivation than them.

A feeling of regret arose in them. This was the opportunity to make friends with powerful cultivators, and they wasted it.

Only the guard who talked to Ling Tian felt better, knowing that although he had not entered into a close relationship with this young man, he was still seen by him.

...

A peerless shadow once again swept across the skies at an incredible speed.

Yang Jing recovered after several hours, and was finally able to pay more attention around, knowing that they were now in the east state!

"Huh?" Yang Jing was stunned, when she felt that the speed they were going at was several times faster than before they arrived at the capital of the south state.

Yang Jing silently looked at Ling Tian, who was strangely sitting behind her cross-legged while keeping his eyes closed. Yang Jing couldn't help but be startled, wasn't it assumed that to control the legendary flying sword one had to be attentive and focused at all times? How come this young man seemed to be oblivious to this?

"Do you want to ask me something?" Ling Tian asked again without opening his eyes, briefly startling Yang Jing.

"N-no..."

Yang Jing finally whispered lightly as she faintly shook her head. She looked straight ahead again.

Ling Tian opened his eyes slightly, and smiled slightly.

At this time they had already flown for more than 12 hours, night was already beginning to come and the cold was increasing in the sky.

However, Yang Jing never complained let alone said a word even though she had no cultivation and was merely a mortal.

Although she tried to hide it, Ling Tian could hear the slight rumblings of Yang Jing's stomach, showing that she was quite hungry. Her eyes had slight dark circles under them, showing the lack of sleep in her.

But still, Yang Jing said nothing.

Sighting a small town in the distance, the flying sword swiftly descended from the sky.

Some guards standing at the entrance quickly rose from their seats at the sight of someone descending from the sky on the legendary flying sword.

A trace of nervousness swept over them all.

"Fee?" Ling Tian asked.

One of the guards who seemed the strongest shook his head and quickly said, "N-no entrance fee... w-we just ask that you don't cause trouble!" His stuttering voice was evident.

"We just want to rest for one night."

Ling Tian nodded and walked with Yang Jing into the small village.

The guards finally relaxed when they saw that Ling Tian and Yang Jing entered the small village without causing trouble.

In order for them to come on the great flying sword they had to belong to the great sects, at least second-tier forces!

They were just cultivators who had barely reached the Chi Gathering Sixth Stage, with the strongest of them reaching the Chi Gathering Seventh Stage, being the captain.

"Let's rest, we'll continue tomorrow."

Once they entered the small village, Ling Tian started walking towards a small building that looked like an inn, leaving Yang Jing confused.

The small village looked even smaller than the Star City of the Divine Star Continent in the lower world. Some cultivators were seen from time to time, but their levels barely reached the Second or Third Stage of Chi Gathering. There were more mortals than cultivators.

The spiritual aura of the place was also very scarce.

Ling Tian extended his spirit sense and quickly sensed the auras of some cultivators who had reached the early and middle stage of foundation establishment. But these were old men over 70 years old.

Even though night was coming, there were still people in the small village, either working or doing various things, so the village was still active.

Quickly, Ling Tian and Yang Jing arrived at the inn.

"Good evening, travelers! Looking for a place to rest?"

A middle-aged man, who was the owner of the inn, spoke with a smile as Ling Tian and Yang Jing entered. His gaze subtly scanned them both quickly and he soon knew they were not from the village.

"Yes, I want two rooms for one night. Also..." Ling Tian watched Yang Jing for a moment and he added, "She hasn't eaten in a long time, so we want dinner... and she also needs a bath so she can rest properly."

Beside Ling Tian, Yang Jing couldn't help but be stunned when she heard Ling Tian's words, wondering if she had heard wrongly.

This man, was he really not treating her like a hostage? But why was he nice to her, if his target was her big brother, Xiao Chen?

Yang Jing had thought that they would fly straight through the night until they reached their destination, so she had been psyching herself up to endure hardship and suffering. She never thought Ling Tian would allow her to rest.

Cultivators could last for days without sleep, and even a long time without eating, especially the stronger they got. They could recover by absorbing the energy of heaven and earth into their bodies, so ultimately they would no longer need to eat or sleep.

But Yang Jing had never cultivated before, she was a mere mortal. Therefore, she had to sleep and eat to have strength and even to not get sick!

"I already told you, you are not a hostage, you will only stay with me for a while to cultivate before your brother comes for you..." Ling Tian looked at Yang Jing's expression and raised his hand, moving it and falling on Yang Jing's little head, "I'm also not so unkind and inconsiderate as you think... you can think of me as a elder brother to the two of you, both you and your brother."

Ling Tian did not like this kind of situation, but there was no other way.

Yang Jing was silent, feeling Ling Tian's hand on her head. Her heart gave birth to a different feeling, as a calmness began to emerge in her. A slightly calmer expression formed on her.

The inn owner listened and silently watched what was going on, but he did not intrude or say anything. He could see that Yang Jing was a mortal, but Ling Tian was a stronger cultivator than him. Besides, problems would always exist and if he was not strong enough he might die.

But looking at Ling Tian's expression and then Yang Jing's, it seemed that it was not the case he imagined.

Thank you all for your words of encouragement and good wishes!

I have a proposal for you guys:

Publish 10 chapters every week? (Like right now)

or

Publish 1-3 chapters every 2 days?

or

Publish 1 chapter everyday (it would be a bit complicated because I get off work late, sometimes I'm on call :()

or

Whatever you say and I find acceptable for me (I'd like to post 10 chapters a day, but I can't, sorry...)

Because if I keep publishing as I have been lately, the release rate would be very long and you guys would get tired of waiting.

In case I still couldn't publish on certain days, I would compensate you with some chapters in the meantime.

For example, if you choose that I publish 10 chapters every week, I can publish up to 15 chapters, very rare 20 but it would depend on the free time I have. Similarly to the other options I would publish more from time to time.

Obviously I would do massive releases once in a while.
