The man muttered in terror as he saw the giant hand made of Chi energy grab him as if nothing. Beads of sweat drenched his head and body, feeling death envelop him.

Shin Wei's complexion was still pale, his breathing was mostly steady and his energy was fluctuating slightly, "I'm already much better, Master." Shin Wei nodded with an equal smile, not letting go of the man he was holding with his cultivation essence.
"It seems there are idiots who dare to disturb you, Master." Shin Wei's gaze cooled as he shifted his gaze to the man. He had clearly heard what the man had said when he had approached to kill Ling Tian.
"Don't overdo it, little Wei." Ling Tian raised his hand, preventing Shin Wei from using too much of his strength to torture the man.
Although Shin Wei had partly recovered, he still hadn't reached the pinnacle of his power; the power he was currently displaying barely reached the threshold of Nascent Soul, but he could still make a Giant Hand of Cultivation Essence to grab weak cultivators.
"Don't worry, Master. It's best if you leave it to me so that you can recover and not waste energy." However, Shin Wei shook his head as he advanced towards the man. Shin Wei understood more than Xuanyuan Ling that the item Ling Tian had in his possession was not that easy and, with the last thing that happened in the void, it seemed like it would take a while to recover.

Shin Wei's expression turned cold and full of killing intent, his low and serious voice swept across the place, looking coldly at the man as he tried to get him to speak. Although Shin Wei had some techniques to search his soul, his power had not recovered and he could not currently do so, if he did, it would be difficult for his recovery and might even aggravate his injuries, especially in the Consciousness Sea...

However, the man shakily mutters with an empty look but full of horror and fear; his current consciousness was gone and only an empty shell remained due to shock and fear.

"Do you know who might have sent him, Master?" Shin Wei asked as he sat beside Ling Tian this time as if nothing had happened.
"From what I've heard, it's most likely the Simu family." Ling Tian pushed the teacup on the table towards Shin Wei before continuing, "The identity of this child which I was mistaken for was something unusual in the past. Also, in the morning I bumped into the Young Master of this family, so no doubt they would be the first to do this after what happened."
Ling Tian knew all too well the kind of thinking this type of families would have, with their direct descendant being in such a state after he beat him, it was easy to tell that they would do anything to get revenge. Ling Tian also told Shin Wei about where they were, as well as the different prominent families in the city and the current situation they were in.

Shin Wei laughed thinking of the different ways Ling Tian could have dealt with the situation, especially with arrogant and ignorant young brats. And thinking about how they hadn't seen Ling Tian for a long time, they didn't know how he would deal with situations in the present.
They all loved it when Ling Tian took care of all those ignorant, arrogant and idiotic guys who didn't know who they were messing with or who wanted to do something to them.
Ling Tian rolled his eyes and let out a smile. He was also aware that some of them, if not all of them, loved it when he took on certain annoying guys, some of them even expressing their wishes that they wanted to join him to see him "beat up walking idiots".
"Don't think I've forgotten when you guys were the ones who purposely got into trouble that time so that a fuss was made and I had to go out and fix it personally." Ling Tian lifted the corner of his mouth, sending a shiver down Shin Wei's spine as the latter averted his gaze, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
Of course he remembered that moment Ling Tian was referring to!
They all prayed that their Master would forget this matter as time passed, especially the men. Although in itself what they did was get rid of horrible guys, it was still they who had started and done such a thing...
"I already heard from Ling'er everything you guys have been doing, eh?" Ling Tian grinned maliciously, further increasing the shiver in Shin Wei.

Xuanyuan Ling felt somewhat nervous and stunned to see one of her Master put on such an expression; it was very rare for her to see that these powerful and respected Masters all over the world would put on troubling expressions, especially as if they were only children when facing Ling Tian. Besides, when was it that she ever said anything to Ling Tian about her Masters? They just talked about funny things, mostly it was Ling Tian who told her about their anecdotes when they were all just kids or youngsters!
Then, Xuanyuan Ling noticed Ling Tian's sly look and immediately winked at her, before saying, "She only told me the truth. If you dare to do anything to Ling'er, you'll have to deal with me." Ling Tian smiled mischievously, casting a thoughtful glance at Shin Wei while holding some laughs inwardly.
"All right, Master." Shin Wei nodded with a bitter expression, thinking about when he had become the bad guy in the story, making Ling Tian think that he could take it out on Xuanyuan Ling.
Besides, if he did that, he would surely be dead once they returned!
How could he do anything to his martial sisters' beloved treasure?
