This is one of my new moves where I launch myself into the air and then violently push myself off of the ceiling and back to the ground towards my opponent with wood magic.
I've transformed my feet into a thick wooden square slab for extra impact!

The alpha wolf is buried into the ground on impact by my killer move~
A good protagonist has to have a flashy entrance and arrive just in the nick of time!!

Using 100 mana might've seemed wasteful, but 100 mana is nothing with my new and improved-
The wolf buried under me suddenly started struggling to get up, looks like he's still alive.
It violently pulled its head out of the ground, throwing me off its body in the process.
He looks pretty pissed.
But-
The alpha wolf began looking panicked when he looked around him and saw no other wolves.
As expected. Looks like these demons hunting in packs lose their confidence when they lose their number advantage.
"GRRRrrr…" (Alpha wolf)
The alpha started backing up whilst growling.
Looks like he's preparing to make an escape.
Yeah. I can't have you do that buddy. I'm on a tight schedule here.
Wooden roots magically appear out of the ground and bind the wolves legs, restricting its movement.

A- alright…
Tsk- how did this wolf know my weakness for canine whimpering noises.
Killing this wolf just became infinitely more difficult…
Now that I get a better look at this thing… it- it's kind of cute…

I subconsciously came up with a nickname for the alpha wolf without even realising it-

When Sniffles started howling, the distant howling of more wolves could be heard all over the cavern.

That has to be the least threatening domain name I've seen so far.
After Doctor Sniffles finished howling, he turned around and wandered off.

I was kind of hoping Sniffles would help me subjugate domains, but he's already gone.
He could've at least shown me some level 1 wind magic or something before leaving.
Expecting a fully grown feral creature to immediately become my obedient pet isn't actually very realistic I guess…
Why can't I achieve a single beneficial other world reincarnation trope… I should've obtained a companion by now, like a female love interest with animal ears or a slave girl that's absolutely head over heels for me.

I grab the bird with my wooden hands and hold it in front of my face.
