The gauntlets that I was wearing with my armour suddenly fall to the ground.
I manipulated the wood that makes up my arm and easily slipped out of the wall-mounted schakels.

I get up and put the gauntlets back on whilst approaching Sniffles.

Wooden roots crept around the shackles that are wrapped around his limbs.

The roots wiggle their way inside the structure and easily break apart the metal.

His tail started wagging meekly as I placed my hand on Sniffles his head.

It's for situations like these that I decided not to dilute my entire stock of full potions...

A full potion slowly emerged from in-between the hay of my body.
I poured the contents into his mouth.

Doctor Sniffles (Light Wolf ♂)
STATUS: HEALTHY
LVL: 78
HP: 2400/2400
INNATE ABILITY: LIGHT
A new breed of wolf, the first of its kind.
Evolved from a common wolf found in caverns that somehow gained an affinity for healing magic.
Protruding from its grey hide, are 2 brilliant grey wings it uses to fly around freely.
Its pack has been wiped out and its territory destroyed.

And just like a certain magical bean, the full potion quickly granted him a complete recovery!

(...Full potions really feel like cheating.)

Miraculously his complexion went back to normal and his caved in stomach even inflated back to a regular shape.

As he stood up, I immediately noticed that he became quite a bit bigger.

Sniffles began sniffing my hand and eagerly began licking it.

How adorable.
As I looked down at my hand, I noticed he was licking up all the disgusting black goop that was stuck to my armour.

"Wait, no stop, don't eat that!" (Scarecrow)

Ugh, that can't be good for you...

The black goo from the monster that was sexually harassing me in the carriage on the way here is still stuck all over my body.

I quickly moved over to Julia and broke the shackles binding her to the wall.

Sniffles was meanwhile drinking water from a bowl left inside the jail cell that I just filled up.

"Julia!" (Scarecrow)

I tried shaking her awake but didn't get much of a response.

Time for doctor full potion to see another patient-

Just as I was about to take out another one of my leftover potions, Sniffles began howling softly.

A bright white aura suddenly enveloped Julia. It looked the type of special effects you'd see when you use a healing spell in a video game.

Oh, I do recall his status mentioning he gained an affinity for healing magic now...

Julia (♀)
STATUS: ASLEEP
HP: 857/1400

In one fell swoop, he healed half of her health. That's pretty impressive...

It seems she still won't wake up, so for now, I guess I'll try to figure out what exactly happened here since I've been gone.

"Have you been down here for long?" (Scarecrow)

Sniffles looked surprised but tilted his head in confusion for what to do next when I asked him a question.

"Uuuh... give me your paw if the answer is yes?" (Scarecrow)
I'm not sure if this type of communication method will work with a wild wolf, but I have faith in my magic speech ability.

Ah.

Sniffles gently put his paw in my hand.

◇◆◇

I kicked open the jail cell door whilst carrying Julia on my shoulder.
I've wrapped some wooden vines around her so she stays in place.

Julia still hasn't woken up for some reason...

I continued to ask Sniffles some yes or no questions using my magic speech ability and managed to more or less learn a couple of things.

He's been stuck down here for years after being captured, and they've just forgotten about him and left him to starve to death down here.
Luckily he evolved into a new type of demon that has healing abilities.
So he's been carefully healing himself for years so he doesn't starve to death.

Frankly speaking, I'm determined to wipe out all these abominations now.
This will be no small task since their average level seems to easily be near 500, whereas I am barely level 10.

Though it's worth mentioning again that levels hardly seem to matter in this world if you've got powerful magic to match it with.
That's what I've learned from Alcazar anyway.
Higher levels basically just mean your opponent has more raw strength and other typical role-playing game statistics like that.
So even raw strength could have a difficult time against magics that produces disastrous natural phenomena.

Basically, how much you can bench press becomes irrelevant when you're about to be hit with a tsunami produced by water magic.

Speaking of water magic, I've got a great idea for getting out this jail area inside the dungeon.

"You..." (???)

As I'm running through the corridor past all the jail cells, a voice tries to grab my attention.

I stopped and looked to my side at the jail cell where the voice came from.

Architect

It's another one of these weird blank status skeletons.

"You came..." (Jailed architect)

"Huh?" (Scarecrow)

"Ke ke ke... this world's reckoning has finally arrived..." (Jailed architect)

Another guy with a weird laugh...

"Harbinger of the end, I apologise for the state of our realm..." (Jailed architect)

Ah.

"The demon crops began overflowing with excess mana and produced these... creatures..." (Jailed architect)

This guy-

"It must've been the defeat of the guardians..." (Jailed architect)

He's lost it hasn't he?

"None of that matters now though... you can finally put an end it to it all harbinger of the end..." (Jailed architect)

He sounds like a crazy old man hastily giving me a lore dump of the weird conspiracy theory he came up with.

Ignoring the weird skeleton's ramblings, I carried on running through the dungeon.

"HARBINGER!" (Jailed architect)

"LEAP INTO TO THE BOTTOMLESS PIT!" (Jailed architect)

"THE FINALE HAS COME!! KE KE KE!" (Jailed architect)

His weird laugh and ramblings just sounded like bone-rattling noises in reality.
Unfortunately, I had to listen to them thanks to my language recognition ability...

Let's just forget about the crazy old man and get out of here.

I arrived at the wall I was looking for.

There's a wall here that stood out from all the other old and brittle walls in the dungeon.
It looks like it only a few years old.

*CRASH!*

A powerful large high-pressure beam of water hits the wall, easily creating a large hole in it.

The hidden area behind the wall appears to lead further underground.
