All the skeletons inside the camp began rattling in distress.

"The abominations are here!" (Random skeleton architect)

*BOOM!*
A shockwave washed over the skeleton architects their base as a large explosion erupted from the direction that the abomination of desire had came from.

"They've found us!" (Random skeleton architect)

Outside the camp, you could see a huge army of black goop creatures amassing in the distance.

There's still a large pile of black goop sticking to my body, so I can't move properly to go take a closer look though.

The old man skeleton that loves dumping exposition on people had arrived to check out the commotion.

He spotted us immediately in between all the white skeletons running around in a panic.

"...So this is the reinforcements you said you'd bring?" (Old man skeleton)
He's looking at me with an accusatory expression after noticing the goop sticking to me.

"Oh no- no, this is... uuuh..." (Scarecrow)

"..." (Old man skeleton)

"Th- these are the reinforcements I've brought!" (Scarecrow)
I ignore the goop sticking to me and gestured at Furby and Alcazar to introduce themselves instead.

"Kaw." (Furby)
Furby casually made a bird sound.

And Alcazar, still seated on top of Furby, simply nodded, not saying a word.

The old man skeleton looked at Furby and back to me.

"..." (Old man skeleton)

Say something dude.

"I'll help you too hubby!" (Abomination of desire)

...You can understand our conversation?

"Those slimy fogies will never understand your appeal!" (Abomination of desire)

What?

I guess with slimy fogies she means the other abominations?

Well, at least it sounds like she's on our side, that's one less of those high-level monstrosities we've got to fight.

But seriously though... get off of me... I'm restraining the urge to shoot her off of me with water magic.

"DESIRE!!!" (Abomination of greed)
All the skeletons in the surroundings prepared their weapons when they heard a booming screeching noise in the distance.

"Father..." (Abomination of desire)

"Hubby... I followed you here via the traces of my body that I stuck to you." (Abomination of desire)

"But I'm sorry... it looks like I lead my ignorant family here in doing so..." (Abomination of desire)

Your heartfelt apology would be appreciated if it weren't for the fact you're still clinging to me...

"?" (Abomination of desire)

Just as I was about to hose her down to get her off of me, a familiar prompt flowed into my mind.

Abomination of desire is requesting the title "Legal wife".
You've exceeded the number of titles you can distribute.

No.

I didn't realize others could request titles from me...

Wait, exceeded?
The last time I checked I had only given 2 titles, I'm pretty sure I should still have 1 more to give?

DISTRIBUTED TITLES (3/3):
- DOCTOR SNIFFLES
- FURBY
- SKELETON QUEEN (NEW!)

Oh...

TITLE: SKELETON QUEEN
A being capable of (dormant) soul magic has blessed you with a title.
Your glistening skeleton and personality have earned you this unique title granted by Unnamed Scarecrow.
All skeleton-type creatures will follow your commands and have a positive disposition towards you.
As the provider of the title, you can revert this upon the death of its current owner.

Seems like I granted Julia the title of skeleton queen at some point...

"Protect our queen!!!" (Random skeleton architect)

Whilst I was looking at my status, the army of goop monsters had begun their attack.

All hell broke loose as the two groups of skeletons and abominations clashed with each other outside the camp.

One thing was obvious though. The skeletons didn't stand a chance against the abominations.

They quickly got overpowered by the abominations.
Several architects got smacked into pieces with relative ease.

Furby titled his head and looked at me.
"Shouldn't we be helping?" (Furby)

"Yeah. Let's do that move..." (Scarecrow)

Furby nodded and spread his wings, preparing for an attack.

(BEAM!)
Like a giant pressure washer, I shot an enormous beam of water, powerful enough to shoot a hole through a mountain.

Furby meanwhile, flapped his wings, creating a wind trap that pushed all the abominations together.
Skillfully, the powerful gust of wind pushed the abominations away from the skeletons and towards the same location.

"Not bad." (Alcazar)
Alcazar was meanwhile stroking his beard and complimenting our mastery of magic.

"Let's add a bit of lighting for good measure." (Alcazar)
He opened his spatial inventory and let out a giant bolt of lighting that mixed in with my water stream.

The pile-up of abominations that was being assaulted by my water magic, exploded as soon as Alcazar's lightning impacted them.

Clumps of black goop flew all over the place. Everyone was covered in the remains of the abominations.

"A- amazing hubby!" (Abomination of desire)

"My word..." (Old man skeleton)

"Harbinger I apologize, I've underestimated your friends!" (Old man skeleton)

Feeling oddly proud of our accomplishment, I puffed up my straw chest.

I've gotten pretty strong.

Just as soon as I began getting full of myself, the clumps of black goop that covered everything in the surroundings began to pulsate.

"But..." (Abomination of desire)

Huh?

The goop covering our surroundings began to jump up and all shoot towards the location where we had just blown them up from.

"That won't work..." (Abomination of desire)

The large gathering of black goop morphed into several humanoid shapes that looked like they were trapped inside the goo.
Shape after shape appeared, trying to claw their way out of the goop with an expression of agony on their face.
Eventually, the pile of goop settled on the same shape that the abomination of greed had.

A fear I hadn't felt in a while washed over me when the goop completed its form.

"I WILL NOT BE DENIED EXISTENCE!" (???)
The huge pile's booming voice spoke with several voices simultaneously.

All the skeletons their bones rattled when the voice boomed through the cavern.

A bunch of skeletons even fell to the ground, seemingly unable to stay conscious anymore.

(C- creepy...)

"Fu fu fu... how resilient!" (Alcazar)

*Whine* (Doctor Sniffles)
Doctor Sniffles, who had wandered over to me during all the commotion was cowering behind my leg.

Abomination (ABSOLUTE DISASTER)
STATUS: HEALTHY
LVL: ?????
HP: ???????/???????
INNATE ABILITY: NONE

Well, that can't be good. My observation skill can't even make out what its stats are.

"All is lost..." (Old man skeleton)

The old skeleton was shaking and seemingly struggling to stay conscious.
He turned to me with a seemingly serious look on his skull.

"Apologies harbinger, you will have to end things here." (Old man skeleton)

"Huh?" (Scarecrow)

"Ideally, all the mana that abomination is hoarding should be yours." (Old man skeleton)

"But as things are, this world is doomed. You will have to brave the end with what meagre strength you currently possess..." (Old man skeleton)

The pile of goop that was still sticking to me was attentively listening in on the conversation and suddenly looked at my face.

"Hubby... we are meant to be..." (Abomination of desire)

Oh, please stop it.

"There's only one way we can be together now if the end if neigh..." (Abomination of desire)

"Take me..." (Abomination of desire)

The pile of goop travelled down my arm and wrapped around my hand, shoving it inside her own body.

"What are you..." (Scarecrow)

Somehow, it felt like my hand hit something incorporeal.
The black goop sticking to me suddenly fell apart on the floor into a puddle.
And equally sudden, a very powerful warm sensation encompassed my body, one I hadn't felt in years.

"I- it bypassed our sacred system..." (Old man skeleton)
