*Bang!*
A small explosion startled me all of a sudden.
It came from the epicentre of Alcazar's crater.
I ran over to see what was going on and immediately spotted the culprit.
*BANG!*
It was Alcazar performing controlled explosions on small pieces of goop that were slowly reassembling themselves in the middle of the crater where he was standing.
"Tsk- what are these things made out of..." (Alcazar)
"...Hey." (Scarecrow)
I casually wandered over and greeted the grumbling Alcazar.
"?!" (Alcazar)
For a brief moment it looked like he was about to blow me up for startling him.
"...That odd inhuman voice, are you Scarecrow?" (Alcazar)
I nodded firmly.
"I see..." (Alcazar)
"Interesting. You've managed to survive." (Alcazar)
"..." (Scarerow)
...Were you actually actively trying to kill every one dude?
"You could've warned us before firing off that thing you know..." (Scarecrow)
"...you've even made a new body and attached a soul to it..." (Alcazar)
Still enthralled by my survival, he blatantly ignored my complaint.
The black mass next to Alcazar began to pulsate violently.
Two black tendrils shot out violently and launched both of us in different directions out of the crater.
I tumbled onto the ground and hit something soft whilst repairing my wooden body that had a hole in it from the impact of the hit I just received.
When I looked behind me I saw a knocked out black bird.
It's Furby and he's glowing for some reason. Seems to be some sort of light magic. Maybe a healing spell?
I slapped Furby until he woke up.
"K- kwah?!" (Furby)
He made a flustered bird sound as he awoke.
"You alive?" (Scarecrow)
Furby unfurled his wings, revealing Julia below them and Sniffles licking everyone to heal their wounds with his light magic.
"Yeah..." (Furby)
He seemed confused at my new appearance for a moment but quickly brushed it off.
We solemnly looked at each other. Silently regretting telling Alcazar about nuclear warfare.
"Get up, seems like it's time for round 2." (Scarecrow)
"That... thing survived even that explosion?" (Furby)
I firmly nodded to his question.
"It's got to have a weakness though right?" (Scarecrow)
Furby's head snapped in the direction of the crater behind me, prompting me to look behind me as well.
Thousands of large black tendrils had erupted from the crater now.
Each tendril hit a black piece of goop that had been slowly crawling towards the crater, instantly absorbing it.
"...Any ideas?" (Furby)
I recalled the abomination of desire that had sacrificed itself.
"One of those abominations killed itself somehow by making me touch its... essence?" (Scarecrow)
"I think if we can get close enough, we might be able to do some damage with just a touch!" (Scarecrow)

"Sniffles you stay here and continue to fix Julia!" (Scarecrow)
Juli seemed to be knocked out at the moment.
*Awoo* (Sniffles)
We quickly approached one of the tendrils that hadn't retraced itself into the crater yet.
"..." (Furby & Scarecrow)
"You touch it." (Furby)
"No, you do it..." (Scarecrow)
The slimy pillar was making gross sounds that vaguely resembled someone swallowing their saliva.
It suddenly pulsated and began to retract, prompting both of us to touch it in a panic before it disappeared.
I used my wooden hands and Furby shoved one of his talons inside of it.
The black tendril paused, seemingly confused.
"W- What are we looking for?!" (Furby)
"E- essence! Some sort of essence!" (Scarecrow)
"I meant to ask before... but what does that even mean?" (Furby)
Not sure how to answer, I blankly stared at Furby.
"...Maybe it's inside of the main body instead?" (Scarecrow)
The black tendril suddenly shot up, taking us with it.
"I- I can't get out!" (Furby)
Furby began to flap his wings in an attempt to escape but kept being pulled in at a greater force.
Both of us quickly approached the abomination that had finished reassembling itself already.
I hurriedly readjusted my position and activated my afterburner ability.

I just about managed to stop myself from being pulled into the abomination.
"FOOLS!!" (Abomination)
"YOU CAN'T ESCAPE ME! ALL WILL BE MINE!" (Abomination)
When the black pile of goop finished gloating, I suddenly saw Furby disappear as the tendril he was attached to suddenly shot back into the main body of the abomination violently, absorbing him with it.
Oh ow-
"THE ONLY REASON YOU MANAGED TO ABSORB DESIRE IS BECAUSE SHE ALLOWED IT!" (Abomination)
Seemingly mocking our plan to grab hold of his supposed essence, the abomination mocked us.
I could feel the tendril that had a hold of me prepare to pull me in.
Tsk- this is no time to be stingy!

Large intense white flames appeared at my feet.
I immediately deactivated the ability in a panic.
(W- Woah?!)
In the blink of an eye, I was launched above the clouds far far away from the abomination and everyone else.
I- if I hadn't stopped myself, I would've left the atmosphere...
That's it? The atmosphere...!
I looked up at the sun.
That's it! I can launch him into the sun!
I remember a certain popular anime that did the same-

My excitement was cut short after remembering that Furby was sucked inside of the abomination just now.
If I throw the whole thing into the sun, he goes with it.
Is it possible to get him out of there...?

...Ugh.
At this point, the only thing I can think of is that weird hole in the floor the old skeleton kept harping on about.
No... there must be something else I can do.
*BONK*
Suddenly, I violently hit some sort of wall in the sky due to the momentum I still had from firing my afterburner ability before.
(?!)
Looking around me there was nothing visible that I could've bumped into.
I used my incorporeal movement and afterburner ability to navigate around in the sky.
*Bonk*
What the hell is this?!
I flew around but kept hitting a wall like an invisible wall in a video game.
It's as if there's an invisible dome in the sky...
Who put this here?
*BONK!*
I punched the wall, but it just broke my hand, prompting me to repair it.
This world almost seems like we're inside a snow globe.
This definitely messes up any plans I had for launching the abomination into space though...
*Bang*
I heard the sound of a very distant explosion below me.
Damn, I should get back down there and help out, I'll just have to figure out a new plan as we fight.
I need to save up mana for the fight, so I'll just let gravity do most of the work.

After repositioning myself, I activated my ability and shot back down to the ground.
When I eventually arrived back at the battlefield, it was already too late.
All remaining presences in the area had disappeared.
Alcazar was gone, Julia and Sniffles are nowhere to be seen too...
Even the army of humans that was chasing Alcazar and Furby seems to be gone.
"YOU..." (Abomination)
I descended to the ground a decent distance away from the abomination who immediately spotted me.
Tsk... this thing seriously just absorbed everyone I knew like it was nothing.
"...It's just me and you now freak." (Scarecrow)
I need to find a way to get all of my friends out of that thing.
