Oh, didn’t know there was a Class tree, is it locked under level restrictions and special requirement?
Same questions as last chapter about the Speaker and everything...
Do subclasses serve a purpose other than stats? I thought a princess subclass would grant luck and charisma but she has minimum luck and charisma doesn’t exist, does it grant skills then?
Is there an alignment system hidden from the characters that locks and unlocks special quests, skills or classes?
Does the story you planned go beyond the end of this game and onto the next one (original game you make up or real Nintendo title is a possibility too)?
Of course there's a class tree! At level 30, you can ascend to the next class. For some class "paths", there are special requirements such as...
Affiliation(s). I introduce this in the next chapter. It's kinda like guilds but more broad. E.g. Servant of Asharia is an Affiliation.
Subclasses grant a number of perks like: special battle skills, stats boosts on level up, etc. Cassis actually has a Princess skill, but I didn't get a chance to have her use it in this and previous chapters (cause she was still hiding her "identity").
If by alignment you mean good/evil, then...
Kind of. This is where Affiliations will come in - I talk about this in the next chapter. They're essentially guilds, and each Affiliation will have their own quests, skill perks, etc.
As for the Speaker...It's hard to answer your question without spoiling the story. So minor spoiler warning ->
The first part of the story is more about the characters of the game, Cassis/Oren etc. The second part will be about the MC/Speakers. There will be some twists as to who's good and who's evil.
I've already planned how this story will end. Beyond that, I have some ideas on how to continue it, and it would probably involve the MC being in a totally new setting.
Is there no way to level a job or gain other skills related to it?
How is the hp and sp increase calculated?
Are there any skills or spells gained by leveling up?
what level can they switch to a better class?
Yes, Job Skills can be leveled up with use and may have stat requirements too. E.g. I'm thinking higher levels of Dig might require significant STR or SPD. For now, job skills don't affect battle skills.
HP/SP and other stats have a base increase + bonus multiplier which varies by class. E.g. Priest has (HP base gain x 1.1) while Monk has (HP base again x 1.3). I have an excel spreadsheet for all of this.
No, there are no skills/spells gained by leveling up. Also, the skills/spells themselves don't level up either.
Next class is at level 30.
@midnightrainbow 1.1 x what? Their base hp/sp?
@Alex_Grant At level 7, Alex gains 50 HP (base) x 1.1 = 55 HP. Oren gains 50 HP (base) x 1.3 = 65.
