Chapter 368

It was a hellish month, and lots of people lost their families. Even now, the war against the Demons was still ongoing. It seemed that this crisis won't finish within a month, or maybe within a year. In the worst-case scenario, the Earth may not escape this predicament until everything crumble because of corruption and no humans could live on the planet anymore. Unless they become Demons, of course. 

However, it didn't mean that it was the end of the Earth. To be fair, the corruption still didn't reach 10% so they could still salvage it. As long as they successfully closed the portals that connect the Underworld, then the Earth would be saved. Although there was a big problem with that, no one knew how to close these portals. No one succeed in the past. 

Most of the portals were connected to the essence of a certain Demon Lord, it was the Demon Lord whom Ivan Smirnov talked to. Ivan was the only one who knew which of the seven Demon Lords opened the portals. Not even the protector nor Kyle knew who it is. 

Perhaps this was the greatest factor why the Earth died in the past because they failed to close the portals. So right now, Kyle was thinking of a strategy to close the portals. He was tracking every people who were close to Ivan Smirnov, torturing them about what they knew about Ivan, maybe they have an idea about the Demon Lord whom Ivan Smirnov talked to.

Perhaps it was not a single Demon Lord, but two, or maybe three… but it didn't change the fact that they have to close them no matter what. Or else their death would be apparent. 

Because of Kyle's interference, the cure and the weapons to fight against the Demons were created. The alliance between Dwarves and Scientists was the best scheme he made. Now, the chances of people becoming Demons would be lessened. Kyle was not expecting a hundred percent performance, as long as people don't become crazy, then everything would be alright. Kyle experienced being betrayed by a woman because of corruption, so he was relieved that there was a cure now. 

On top of that, the Red Technology created the highly improved Runic Weapons. These weapons were powerful enough to fight against Demons and normal people could use them freely. Their chances of winning slightly increased. 

Using his connections, Kyle did his best to spread the cure and Runic Weapons. He asked for every teleporter he knew and gave them batches of Runic Weapons and cure. He implemented this plan easily because he had the money and power to do so, this was the right time to use his wealth.

But there were a few things that still bothered him, first was Christian. Christian started looking for his brother. He left without saying anything.

Kyle was concerned about Miriam too, the woman felt guilty and she thinks that she was the reason why Niña died. 

Let's not forget about Mikael, it was obvious that he was mourning right now. 

Kyle felt like his head would explode at any moment. His family was greatly affected and he didn't know what to do. Yes, Kyle regained his sympathy, because he was cured now. 

Aside from the misfortunes, there was some good news too. Such as the rising fame of the Saintess, Andromeda became famous because of her unlimited healing power. She could heal a city without a problem, and people trust her. Furthermore, Andromeda showed the greatest miracle that people could ever see, the Resurrection. Because of this, she started gaining loyal followers. The people she saved and revived became loyal to her. She became one of the most important people on Earth, equal to Kyle. She was too precious because of her ability, people would die for her. After all, she could revive them again. 

In the past, people who followed Andromeda were called the Endless Zombies. Because they won't die no matter how many times they fall. 

So far the world adjusted to its life without the sun, without the real light. Heck, the companies that sell flashlights and lightbulbs are bussing right now!! As if every people became nocturnal, although the intake of vitamin D is strong because there was no sunlight.

Mikael sat up, he couldn't sleep. It was already months since the tragedy happened to them, he looked down and found that Furrneka was hugging his waist. The cat woman was sleeping but her expression didn't look peaceful at all. Probably she was still anxious about him because Furrneka understood that Mikael was hurt so much. 

They were both naked, and they continued sharing their love, showing that they were not alone. But for Furrneka, despite knowing that she became the sole girl, she felt like she didn't win at all. She did her best to satisfy him, to make him happy, but no matter how many times Mikael climaxed there was still something missing in his heart. It would take a long time to heal this wound, and both of them understood it. 

Mikael slightly smiled, he was thankful that Furrneka was there for him. He stroked her hair and Furrneka purred. 

Mikael slowly stood up and made sure that Furrneka won't be disturbed. He wanted to drink alcohol, strong alcohol that could knock him off. 

While drinking, Mikael decided to use his phone... And that's when his heart was further crushed. 

Mikael swallowed hard, he realized that Niña sent her a message months ago. Mikael took a deep breath and clicked the play button. He understood that he would be broken after watching the clip.

Niña was so beautiful, she was smiling happily as she recorded the video. She was humming and checking the lighting, she wanted to make this memorable. She wanted to surprise Mikael so much that he would be dumbfounded. She wanted to surprise him once he came back. 

"Hi Mikael~" She giggled, waving at the camera. 

"You see, I decided to do this because I saw our video... Yeah, you know, the Rick Roll one. That's hot, to be honest, and I want to do it again... Ehem, but it's not the reason why I'm recording this. Ah, I don't know what to say, I'm shy."

She touched her blushing cheeks. 

"So I decided to record this moment too. Because I feel like it's important for both of us."

Niña smiled and touched her belly. She received the greatest blessing of all. 

"Mikael, congratulations, you will be a father!!"

That was the best smile that she ever made, melting everyone who might see.
